Like getting your friendship up with Lisa to the point she'd be one of your confidantes like Kaname or Gin(lol) were in canon is probably out of the question at this point but it's still possible if you also followed her into the 8th division.

(Of course going full meglomaniac might preclude Isshin teaming up with you in the future).

As for xp plan, sticking with double-leveling our shikai for now, but I'm open to other plans

Why is everyone voting to dump all the xp into Shikai? The update pretty much flat out says that's a bad idea.
Second you begin training intensely for the tournament. You don't dare over specialize (Gain 600XP) but there is one area you pay special attention to and that is:

Okay, it looks like Zanjutsu training is going to win no matter what so I think it to be prudent to be able to do the basics with competence. Reiryoku is our thing so let's give it a priority and since our Shikai is incoming we should up our speed and start investing in kido so we have a back up option if we don't want to unveil Kyoka Suigetsu, especially if we get absolute hypnosis.
