Positive Heroism: Ongoing while a Soviet pilot operates under 3000 meters, they ignore 1 Injury Penalty and up to 2 G-force penalty. This is for the purposes of rolls only.

Mastery - Slipstream
- Tables have Turned: In Dogfight! you can use Keen to turn the tables on your attacker, and Daring to go on the offensive. When you Draw a Bead, you can opt to take G-force equal to Speed factor rather than a Hard Move.

I-16 Type 13

Modifications
- Gun Harmonics (and electric firing triggers)
- Upgrade to x2 Heavy Machine Guns, x2 Machine Guns

... on the one hand we can definitely say we're a Cosmonaut now.

On the other, a lot of people are about to horribly die without the enemy having to lift a finger because Sir Issac Newton is the deadliest SOB in space.

Mixed bag, you know? :V

I don't know what exactly the stats are on Tu's plane, but I have built something reasonably close. We have no idea what he has for bombs or rockets, so that's the first thing to check. He probably just has regular MGs, but four of them, and with more ammo than we have.

We need to turn the attack of three planes into three attacks of one plane each. With our stats, engaging head-on is a Bad Idea, but I can't think of a better way to get the Nails to jink.

There is still friction, and presumably this nebula is pretty big, so its more likely that missed bullets will tumble in the tumultuous atmosphere for centuries!

It's basically your I-16 but even turnier and less streamlined. Its got a pair of solid rocket booster sets, so he has two really fast zooms before he's back to normal speed. x4 MGs yeah.

If they're smart, they can pull up. The G-forces so incurred are functionally identical to gravity, allowing the engine to work as long as they pull a few loops every so often.

Do we have any pusher or twin engine planes? And what does the engine start up procedure and minimum throttle setting look like on a WWII aircraft? Because someone will probably need to figure out some weird zero-g variant of the Pardo Maneuver. Should be interesting. Matching velocity vectors while under fire sounds like a real fun time.

On another note, action equals reaction. If Captain Bhate can get her plane pointed in the right direction, she can use her guns to get some limited measure of velocity. Not sure how usefull it would be though.

This isn't space though, it's just zero G. Most of the weird things you can do in space are because of vacuum but we're still flying in ISA.

Sketch, what's our altitude for the purposes of Positive Heroism?

True. The thing would stop eventually.

If someone is crazy enough, they could drop their engine to idle, slide their plane alongside, and let the Captain hitch a ride.

Well, this artificial breathable nebula could (as far as we know) vanish at any moment. So, that's terrifying.

Uh, I don't suppose we could throw a line to the stalled out planes and tow them back through the portal (and hopefully their engines will resume function in gravity before they hit the ground)?

I don't see any votes yet, so...

[X] Come at the Nails from an angle, so they have to turn to face you.

[X] Buy as much time as possible to get Captain Bhate out of there.
- [X] Turn directly in and head towards them, keeping formed up.
- [X] Have Tu activate the rockets and gain separation just before the merge so that he can kill aircraft on your tail.

Hey I'm clear of a con and can update again!

Roll me 3d10+Daring, please!

I just caught up on this and it's pretty Good!!!!

However I admit to having trouble keeping the other pilots straight beyond Cait

and not just because they're gay :V

4-4: Space War
"I'm going to turn in on them and get them after me, cover me!" you announced into the radio, pushing the throttle open and the stick forward to compensate. The plane rocketed forward, bobbing a bit on the elevator, with only the ambiguously-scaled asteroids, clouds, and other aircraft to visually indicate movement. It was a good thing you didn't get motion sick.

The enemy planes took the bait immediately, pivoting and beginning to come for you, allowing you to draw them away from the group. You glanced behind you to confirm the I-153 was still at your tail, and sure enough the little grey biplane was following a good pace away, on a wider trajectory that would cover you and be easy to escape if they started going for him.

But now they were committed, and you continued the turn to come at them head on. You picked the lead vehicle and dialed in your gunsight. This was going to be a fast pass. You didn't have to shoot. All you had to do was keep them busy while the squadron formed up.

[ ] Go head on and fire.
[ ] Break!

Glad to see this updating. You've really been on a roll lately.

I'm going to vote brave but very stupid because it is what seems to be in character.

[X] Go head on and fire.

Holy unexpected updates batman!

[X] Go head on and fire.

It is stupid but brave and thus 100000% in character, yes.

[X] Go head on and fire.
Tina is here for a good time, not a long time.
