As for the bright red hat... and trench coat... while he has done more for the empowerment of the workers then anyone in the galaxy for thousands of years... he's not a revolutionary.
Aw, I was hoping to see him lead troops and kill loads of sith like a master Jedi. Then I can imagine Paltatine, the Trade Federation and all the Republican politicians drinking themselves under the table in catatonic shock.

Well they'll have to do periodic mind wipes and make sure they never develop sapient. Workers gotta love those since companies can't go cheap and hire droids anymore.

Palps must be angry, he can't keep on getting away with this! How much did he have to down size his Droid army after the attempted rebellion?

...On the bright side, I have ideas for how republic intelligence can mess with their newly subjugated armies going forwards...

DROID EMANCIPATION MOVEMENT GO
Seriously, on the one hand the revolution failed.

On the other hand? Nothing builds resentment more than knowing that you can be free but you're forced to fight the side that'll free you.

Unless they're flash wiping Droid minds constantly or have restraint bolts so draconian that it renders them damn near comatose (and thus barely more than a walking aimbot running subpar software on the lowest bidder's cpu framework) desertion will be an ongoing problem.

Hell hackers could make an army rebel just by uploading a patch that lets the droids think for a few seconds.

This is going to get fucking wild.

Man the force is having a laugh of the era I bet.
And PLEASE SOMEONE make a palpatine negaverse reaction this is something he would have stroke over.
Fun fact : chaos ( star wars version of hell ) has multiple gates around the galaxy.
One is in the palpatine ancestral home. ( In the basement )
What's more funny that his dad told him about it and said to palps that "the palpatines are holding the gates to chaos" but thought he said it as a metaphor.

Palps gotta be sitting in his office questioning how things went so wrong. It wasn't a jedi even a politician but a clown from nowhere thats completely out maneuvered him without even knowing he existed.

Edit: Meanwhile Jar Jar suddenly gets a report the out rim is exploding after the announcement and doesn't know why.

Oh my god what was the senate reaction to these laws and reforms
Jar Jar frees the droids- The senate: "Clearly the Chancellor is merely wasting time on useless laws to give him the appearance of a liberator and shore up his political power for more important moves."

Separatist alliance starts a war with droid armies, almost immediately news leaks of massive rebellions once Jar Jar's declaration of sentience is announced- the senate:

even better, they might not be able to patch out the droid control ship flaw since you'll need that direct control or a lot of restraining bolts.

I can't wait for CIA RIA to send undercover agents around the third world Rim to spark revolutions. I imagine the most damage isn't going to be to the droid armies that are closely monitored, but the droids working in the mines and factories that supply the war effort.
