I think our shuttle in the hanger is probably bombed/being bombed/being sabotaged as we speak, the elevators are probably busy being occupied, this seems to be the only option that is unlikely to have been foreseen as a possibility.

I was not expecting the Senate Guard to be compromised.
 
You know even if we fail the fact that the greatest Chancellor in recent memory went down guns blazing and screaming defiance might be the thing that keeps this burning pile of bureaucracy going after we're gone.

On live holovid the entire galaxy watches as Supreme Chancellor Binks defends the Republic! Once again stepping into his role as a general and commanding armies to engage the enemy.

This option sounds both fun, made for TV, and most likely not to be anticipated by Palpatine.

Do people not find suspicious that all forms of communications were jammed except for the public broadcast?

It sounds too much of a oversight for assassins that infiltrate our personal guard commit such blatant mistake.
 
Can we PLEASE explicitly reform Coruscant's security next turn? I'll make a plan myself if I have to.

Communications weren't "jammed". They were cutoff by security systems per protocol. i.e., they did not bring in outside jamming equipment to do this, rather they took advantage of the Senate's built-in security system. A security system that apparently doesn't interfere with public broadcasts. Presumably because said broadcasts are very important to the senate while having minimal use to an attacking party. It makes sense really. Just because the senate is under siege doesn't mean the leaders of the Republic won't want to address the public about it.
