My Kingdom, Forgotten (Final Fantasy/Fire Emblem Awakening Quest)

Looking at the tags, the only thing I can say is this: this is the only path.

UNLIMITED HAREM WORKS.

I will also like to point out that someone used to politics, sacrificing a skilled fighter and a magic item for an assassination where it would be easier to starve us out is awfully stupid. If you're going to send someone with a noticeable mark on the eye, why bother trying to hide it or having her memory purged if captured? Who would waste a magic sword like that?

Sorry if I'm in an detective mood. Watched a documentary on Sherlock Holmes' effect on real life investigation put me in an investigative mood.

Don't worry about it, you're right after all. Who would use pieces like those as disposable pawns? ... Well, Kefka would I guess... I really hope he isn't involved in this.

The real question is who erased her memories?
Caius was on the assassin already, he let loose a heavy kick forcing them to crash into a wall. Their head hit the wall with a heavy crack.
I'd just like to add that that Caius beat the living stuffing out of her. He's not exactly of the gentle variety, especially when facing an opponent.

So... we got a fancy new sword? ... Can we add it to our hammerspace collection?
Noctis wouldn't be able to use it like his other weapons, it would have to be on him at all times.

Recursive Lucinas in a stable time loop 4ever.

Maybe it had nothing to do with politics, after all the future is never set in stone.

So did Chrom become a father at an even younger age than Awakening?
Also what about Odin? Is he going to do anything about the fact that Claire got mind controlled by Kefka? To my understanding in this quest the god summons are more involved than in their games.

Chrom had her around the same age.

Odin knows, the main problem is that Kefka is also suppressing their connection. He definitely isn't standing idly by while his summoner is being used.

It's more like I'm surprised Noctis didn't pick up on it. Considering that he's been dealing with someone trying to set him up as the world's greatest threat since... Has a demon lord invaded recently? The PC should be slightly paranoid like I voted for a situation like this. Plus, giving a reason for mercy let's us be a fair ruler than a soft one.

Chicks dig a fair King after all. Rescuing Lighting, romancing the merchant girl and getting Lucina to fall in love with us is the first step to the ultimate battle HAREM! The world wouldn't be able to stop us and our army of hot women! [/jk... Or am I?] *Bam Bum Bum*

[X] You wouldn't do it, everyone deserved a second chance.
-[X] ...better err on the side of caution. Lock her up in one of the decent cells until you can trust her.
-[X] This situation stinks like a cesspit. A assassin armed with a possible magic sword, an identifying mark on the eye and skilled enough to sneak past your guards? It seems awfully convenient that she would lose her memory before she could be questioned. Have her examined if possible for any signs of possible foul magic used on her.

I like the sub-votes cause... well, not everyone deserves a second chance *Looks at Kefka*, but we need to figure out what the hell is going on and either she's lying about the amnesia or someone pulled something on her and we might be able to break it... maybe... eventually. Hopefully we can convert her to our side to... shouldn't be too hard if she actually got amnesia since she was basically just used as a disposable pawn.
If its actually Falchion? Then it'd be even more useless to us then Excalipoor.

Falchion can only be used by Marth and his descendants the Royal Family of Ylisse.

But yet we still somehow managed to cut her with it...

Then again, royal lines intermarrying has probably happened before. We could have their family's blood in our veins.
I don't understand that either. Falchion and Neo-Falchion(or whatever Lucina's was called) could only be used by Chrom/Lucina this would've meant they needed to be wielded by those sharing the same bloodline as I don't think Falchion is similar to the Yato.
He cut Lucina with it, remember? Either we're related to them, or this isn't Falchion and Caius is starting to go blind.
We'd also be blind for that matter.

Besides the whole it's Lucy thing, I like Noctis trait of being far too kind for his own good, so yeah

And as ominous as that waifu warning tag is, I still can't help but ship, currently leaning to the Lightning route despite how vanilla it feels

As much as I hate the idea of abetting waifuing,

I can't see killing her being that helpful. I don't think the brain damage would wipe her memory as cleanly as it seems to be, so there may be something else there. Might be able to find out who sent her by who could wipe memory in whatever way it was done. And we could kill her later if it seems necessary, which would also have the advantage of not looking like it was done in a rage, but after legit deliberation. Would probably help to not set up an image of making rage-fueled decisions.

We're keeping that sword, though. Apparently we can use it, or at least Caius can't. I think it's the former, but the latter's a possibility.

Wrath and mercy, in equal parts, and at the right times.

Emmeryn wasn't sure why the man was here. The man's form towered over her. His armor was like muted gold, his visage hidden by his horned helmet. She could not read anything from him, he might as well have been a statue. He was one of the Ylissean Judges, Judge Gabranth.

"You are now the Exalt." his voice rumbled through his helmet. "We have gathered here before you, we shall protect what you desire, your enemies will fall before us."

Emmeryn swore she felt power brimming from him, she wasn't a fighter, but she knew this man was dangerous. "The Ylissian Judges, I've only seen you gather once before..." her voice shook a bit, the judges were known to be ruthless, especially against those who would go against Ylisse. Being a judge was a high honor, their status was just below the Exalt in terms of importance.

The door to her throne room opened, the other four judges entered. Their armor clanked as they walked towards the throne. They stopped before the steps and fell to their knee.

"All you would need is ask, and we will accomplish the task given to us." Judge Gabranth told her as he too placed himself on his knee.

"Odin..." Try as Claire could, she was unable to reach Odin. That man had done something, broken something. "Odin please..." she tried so hard to reach him, the only one she had not pushed away.

She wondered if Noctis still continued to be kind to a fault. An assassin would try to kill him and he'd probably end up befriending them. She wanted to chuckle, it was one of the things she admired about him. It was the kind of person she could not be.

The Queen of Bodum, having an internal crisis, she would laugh at herself if she could. When did she become such a pansy? She felt so weak, so helpless, so tired. If she could rest her eyes, it would be fine, wouldn't it? She just wanted to rest for a moment, a moment where she didn't have to be the responsible ruler, a moment where she can just forget and just be herself.

"Then give in, that's what you want, isn't it? No longer to struggle under the burdens that were thrust upon you?" she almost nodded in agreement with the voice. It was sweet and comforting. It knew the right things to say every time. "Your parents would be oh so overjoyed to meet with you again. So would your sister you know?" the voice continued to probe at her.

"Father, Mother, Serah..." Claire murmured, it's felt like an eternity since she saw them last. Sweat poured down her face, she raised her hand, she watched as her hand trembled. It stopped as she breathed in. "No, they're gone." her voice gained the steel she was known for.

"You never wanted any of this. You yearn for a simpler life, a simple existence. Yet you still struggle, why?" the voice asked in curiosity.

"I am a Queen before I am a daughter or sister." she replied without hesitation.

The voice cackled madly. "You're just so foolish, I like that. I really do. It'll be all the more wondrous when I break that hope you cling to."

You locked the door to the cell that held the woman. She couldn't remember her name, but after giving her some books to read she chose to go by Marth. She named herself after the legendary hero-king, it almost made you scoff. The childish part of your brain always thought the legend of The Warrior of Light was a much more pleasant tale.

As the days past you could only doubt yourself further, she really seemed to have lost her memory. Being in your position, you couldn't just trust her as much as you wished you could, not yet anyway.

You stepped back into your library, intent on returning the books to their proper place. You sat down at the large desk at the end of the room as you began to organize the books on the table. You heard a knock from the door. "Enter." you replied, it was Albus.

"Good day, prince Noctis." he greeted as he placed a glass down next to you and filled it with water from the container he held. "You've been visiting that women every day now." he didn't sound too pleased that she was still around.

You took a sip from the glass and nodded. "Yes, she may have some answers for me. I've been trying everything I can to jolt her memory." you explained to your butler.

"Regardless, We have some matters to attend to." Albus brought up. "Behemoths have been moving closer to the castle, we need to get rid of them or they may start attacking." he told you as he began to organize the mess that was the library. "You've also received a letter from The Exalt of Ylisse." he gave you the letter he pulled from his pocket.

You read over it, it was very plain and formal. It told you one of the Ylissean judges were coming to Lucis to speak with you personally. You scratched your head in frustration, anytime judges were involved, lives were lost. At least that's what you remember your father saying.

You decided on a course of action.

Who will deal with the Behemoths?

[ ] You would deal with the monsters yourself.

[ ] You would send Caius to deal with them.

[ ] You would send the Royal Guard to deal with them

What will you do with the envoy from Ylisse?

[ ] You would meet with them yourself

[ ] You would have Anna meet with them

[ ] You would have Caius meet with them

Your prisoner, Marth. What will you do with her?

[ ] Let her out of her cell, maybe more activities would help her memory.

[ ] A few more days in a cell wouldn't hurt her. You had other things to deal with.

Caius could obviously deal with the Behemoths, but there's something to be said for letting the guard feel like they're actually doing something.

Why would we send Anna? I can see her maybe accompanying us. Unless she acts as a diplomat for us, or a neutral party to find out what they want?

As for Lucina Marth... I really don't know. She could either be a saboteur just waiting to get out, or letting her out will let her be at the right place at the right time to save someone(s).

Choices, choices...
