Alright, here's my opinion. Asking for more meat is immediate short term gains, at the expense of long-term gains. It's a one-time windfall which can't really be replicated. We should be focusing on our ability to gain more meat and productivity in the long-term, rather than accepting a windfall.
The best ways to increase our productivity is by managing our human resources better. We have a ton of money sitting in the castle doing absolutely nothing, because Caras can't spend it on anything. Or possibly, we could use the money to buy meat above the meat we're taxing from the populace.
I think the best option is to get cores to both manage the threats against us, as well as manage our human vassals better. There's already bad blood between Caras and Freewheeling Raptors, so it's not like it matters too much if we piss him off more, and the Council already said that until our burner-worm detection cores were properly proliferated, they'd keep other lords from interfering in our lands. That should be plenty of time for us to shore up our defences, which we ought to do anyway to defend from Commoner incursions. The ability for long-range communication and coordination even with non-integrated vassals is important enough to be worth pissing off someone our husband already has bad blood with anyway. Even if we can't hire our human vassals, we can at least talk to the mayors and such more regularly and quickly, as well as communicating with any breed-guards we have in the field.
[X]"I think trading Cores for Cores would be more than fair. Say, three types in exchange for our many copies of one type?" Your understanding of Cores suggests that an actual tit-for-tat per Core would be viewed as extremely greedy, but surely three different Cores for 50+ copies of one Core is fair? Maybe even generous to them?
-[X]"Zyzixion has fireproofing, and as the frontline against Burner Worms that would greatly help us do our duty."
-[X]"Flight would help us fend off the Szumowiny, and is currently outside our wheelhouse, but I notice it is very common in Soissons."
-[x]"Freewheeling Raptors had a terribly convenient method of long-range communication with even non-Integrated humans. Would you be able to advocate on our part for this technique?"
Since I'm not sure how popular my variant of this vote will be, given a number of others already voting for the 'more human voice' sub-option, I'm also voting for the second best option of
[X]"If the rules on long-term hiring could be relaxed in regard to non-military jobs, that would greatly improve our ability to actually use any funds paid for Cores, as well as improve our ability to develop our territory."
