The fact that this debate still exists, and has continued past the point where the author felt it necessary to spend wordcount addressing the concerns of the readers, is a lamentable shame. The story is what it is; sure, it's an annoying burden for a fifteen year-old gear to bear, but Glenn is well aware that Taylor is extraordinary. He might very well be pushing for this not only because the statistics claim it to be effective, but because it'll catalyze Taylor's self-confidence, crushing the last remnants of her former, timid shell under Lightshow's heels. Let the man run with the tale he wants to tell. If you're here for the sole purpose of badgering the author into abandoning a promising story because a single element doesn't sit well with you, the door is that way.
