Are we gonna tell our friends exactly how bad a thing Tiberium is for people who can't control or harvest it?

Once this attack is over we need to get right on filling the UN and the other nations in on how to properly contain and elimitate Tiberium. I don't think we should give them the ability to mine and refine it anytime soon though, that's something we should keep for ourselves.

Harvesters aren't exactly stealthy; plus even MuvLuv politicians would realise that spreading the strange matter that converts literally everything it touches into tiberium is a really stupid idea.

Also containment is an absolute bitch; seriously I can just imagine some moron trying to assassinate someone with it only for the Tiberium to literally consume the murder weapon and the person holding it (tiberium spreads hilariously fast).

Huh? I'm not saying we hide that we can harvest it, just keep the knowledge of how to produce harvesters and refineries for ourselves. Maybe sell them to nations or something.

The actual containment stuff would either be given out freely or sold very cheaply.
 
@Derek58 the only way to contain Tiberium, IIRC, is to errect a shitload of sonic wall things and harvest the shit out of whatever fields you find.

Air currents and ion storms tend to screw that over.

Tiberium is the stuff of nightmares and can easily spread worldwide just from a rain cloud passing over a yellow zone; we are going to come down hard on anyone spreading tiberium and the good will we get from containing it will probably help easing political tensions when we do.

    I think a fair number of people misunderstand the situation somewhat. Things like better armor, ion cannons, railguns and sonic weapons are certainly helpful, but the thing that will actually make the biggest impact is our logistics. Not having to worry about ammunition, so that artillery can keep bombarding BETA positions and keep the various Laser-class BETA occupied, the ability to heal/repair soldiers/vehicles without the need for medical supplies or spare parts; those will do much more to impact the fight against the BETA than slightly better equipment.

    If we get that tiberium that means more forces to throw at the aliens. If we don't our forces are significantly more limited.
