Matter of Faith (BTVS / OC)

Literally

At any rate Angel will probably stay dead since Faith in the Light is something that is required to be revived by us.

I always wonder how Faith(the thing, not the person) will be a problem, given how we can be pretty convincing, with wings and all that

you're satan disguise as an angel,

Died before they see us,

Died thinking they're hallucinating

Didn't really die correctly and instead got sucked into someone's magic spell.

Week5 Start
[X] Work on Consecrating training ground.

Quite sorry, but doing this particular part is going to take up most of the day.

----

Sunday is a quiet day for you. You take your materials and head out to the warehouse. There you set yourself up in the center and survey it. The icons have to be places equally around the area, and you have to use something 'pure' to anoint the area. In this case you have some bottled water that makes a good substitute once you have it blessed.

That's probably the biggest point you have to do. Or learn rather. You need to teach yourself how to bless things based on what you've read and learned. Push the light that you use into a vessel and have it stay there instead of disappearing naturally. You do something like this with your healing spell, but you need to make certain it sticks.

It's harder than it sounds. You get the bottled water to get warm on your first attempt. Then have it sort of light up like you dropped a flashlight in it. But it's not becoming blessed.

Eventually you hit on the proper method. It's slow, and honestly tedious. Like holding a weight above your head for minutes on end. Not quite tiring at first, but over time it becomes harder and harder. What you have to do is hold the light in it, and sort of 'force' the water to accept it. At the end of it, it doesn't even look any different. You can tell that it's got the blessings of the light now, but visually it has no indicators at all.

It takes you half the day to do just that. Now that you know about it, you could get it down to an hour or so, but it's not a particularly fast method. There's a spell you could eventually learn that would let it become instant, but you lack the proficiency at the moment for that one.

Next step is carving and blessing the idols. You get some lunch and work on that with a summoned dagger. Since the thing is sharp and the wood cheep, this part's easier. You have a half dozen very crude idols before the sun sets.

Which is a good thing since you still need sunlight for the final part. You setup the icons equidistant across the warehouse and then hold up the water bottle into the light. An application of power has the entire warehouse look like it's in a bright afternoon as the sun pulls into the water and then flashes across the warehouse.

You focus and push your power out more. It's honestly exhausting, and you can feel your power sort of flow out as you invoke your faith. It moves slowly through the warehouse.

It finishes by the sunset, and you stagger as you let it go. The place is consecrated.

It feels safe. Warm and protecting. You could probably fall asleep here now. This is a holy area in truth. Which is quite nice, and probably a bit of a boon should you need to do something.

Regardless, it's time for bed. You head home weary and tired.

The next day you head to school and meet up with Jet in the morning. The boy looks tired, and is yawning as you come in. You raise an eyebrow at him as he hands back the book, wrapped in paper.

"Easier to lug around something that doesn't look pure gold." Jet yawns again as he continues. "Couldn't make heads or tails of it, sorry. Just not my thing I think. I always went Wizards in dungeons and dragon anyways. Clerics are boring."

"You're calling me a Cleric now?" You ask with amusement.

"Sure, you heal and cast spells. That's totally cleric. " The boy replies and grins at you before starting to walk towards class, you following behind.

You snort as you follow. "So what had you up all night? "

"Umm, internet surfing." Jet scratches at his head. "I've been digging kinda deep into the other stuff." He glances back at you. "I'm not sure of all of it, but there's a few things that I'm starting to find. It's a bit scary out there. Don't let others know about your flashy stuff."

You blink a few times. "Why?"

"Fucking government conspiracies man." Jet shivvers. "You've got me paranoid now, and half the stuff might be fake, but I can't tell anymore."

That's something that makes you wince just a bit. "It can't be that bad."

"Now that I know about it, yes it's that bad." Jet hisses out the last part and then shakes his head as if to clear it. "I've seen a few demon references, and a few people talking about how 'hunters' tend to disappear. As well as something like witches cursing those they get pissed off at. Those are the more believable ones now. Imagine reading about how the government abducts 'random persons of interest' and not being certain that it's a hoax?"

"That sounds rough." Your'e at class now, so you can't talk as freely.

"I'm still parsing it, but I think I can start to get the stuff that's just bullshit over time. If you can get more information I'd have it easier though." The boy slinks to his desk and his head hits the top of it as he slumps. "It's cool, but damn if I'm not locking my doors now."

You pat him sympathetically on the back.

...Can we bless Faith's crossbow, so it gives something to those bolts she's using?
Anyway, I think we're going with... Divine Prayer now?

And then we start focusing on the other trees?

Blessing the crossbow wouldn't do much. You could bless the bolts though. That gives them a holy effect. You have to be 'inside' consecrated ares for it to work.

But it should be fairly easy to convert alies aka the only people we are suspose to care for.

Jet's right you know, we need to pay attention to the smite part of smite and heal; given that we blessed that water, maybe we can start by blessing gasoline and fire it out of a homemade flamethrower, or bless one of Dad's bottle of Vodka (any self respecting drunkard keep at least one Vodka stash) and make holy molotov

[X]Socialize Dad
[X]Train: Willpower

Time for dad and will power,if we have dad in our circle then we can easier to convince him about our choice in life.

[X] Socialize: Mr Smith
-Talk to him about those lessons he mentioned and ask if he can meet your at you blessed training area.
-Then once he shows up, feel him out for the whole light thing while you train and if he feels like a good fit, tell him the real reason why you started training up and see if he would want to join.
[X] Train: Willpower
[X] Request a new quest
[X] Spend point on Divine Prayer

So considering how close we are to our teach, all that he has done for us, what he offered and how good a guy he is. I think he would make a great paladin and what to see if we can recruit him here.

As more people on our side and in our group to fight the good fight here, is never a bad thing if we can trust them

I am perfectly fine with auto vitality training. It's our main stat, after all(Our second one probably should be dexterity, then everything else goes after that, unless you disagree?).

After Divine Prayer, we'll start going down the combat trees. On this action, increasing our Willpower sounds like a good idea, because with more Willpower it's safer to take more (and more difficult) quests.
