The interesting thing is that MAXIMUM PRIDE is absolutely a valid playstyle. The more prideful you are, the more powerful your Sin is. Every time you choose to act proudly, you get a small stat boost. Unfortunately, it's also a rather limiting playstyle which requires you to be as prideful as possible all the time, which can get boring fast.[X] I'm Victor Crowne, Daemon of Pride. You can't take me, trust me.

What you're doing here is forcing him to come back to a set of points that he's glossed over. You basically drag the conversation back around to the whole murder bit - which most magical girls tend to object to, loudly and emphatically. It also sets your tone for the conversation as a skeptic, someone who isn't willing to take things at face value.I like the idea of dodging, and I can understand not trying to force the discussion to be about Kaleido if she's the one running it; however, the direction we're dodging looks like a brick wall to me. He told us who he is and left unsaid (but obvious) how he deals with his enemies. Are we just trying to force him to say that he kills people sometimes?
You most certainly could. Kaleido already likes you and recognizes you as a person, and has no experience dealing with Daemons in any case and so would not see you as evil. Kui, on the other hand...That would be mildly hilarious, if it's written in-universe as a slip of the tongue.
Well, as long as we can talk them into not hating us afterwards. I actually think we could pull it off, though I'd rather we not have to find out.
Honestly, it does a bit of both. It's a question of perspective. To Kaleido, its as if a guy walks up to you and spends fifteen minutes badmouthing left-handed people, at which point your classmate who is sitting next to you points out that he is left-handed and takes understandable offense to your proclamation. To Kui, you are literally declaring that you, as a teenager, are so blatantly puppy-kickingly evil that you rewrite reality around you. Perspective makes all the difference. This is a tough one. I really want to pick the Pride option, but playing the infiltration game plays more to my tastes and desires for the quest. Plus the presence of that Youma infiltrator really makes me want to hang around with the Wrecking Crew, especially considering Crowne's Monocle could probably see through her disguise.
Actually, Walker, can we get a clarification on what exactly the Pride-unlocked option does? Are we talking a charismatic attempt to sway people to our service in spite of alignment problems, or more of a Team Rocket-esque 'villanous introduction' thing here?
I'll say. I mean, it's literally in the bible that God is a jealous God, and he's the definition of good. Also Wrath of God.To Kaleido, its as if a guy walks up to you and spends fifteen minutes badmouthing left-handed people, at which point your classmate who is sitting next to you points out that he is left-handed and takes understandable offense to your proclamation. Well, some of them are mutually exclusive.I'll say. I mean, it's literally in the bible that God is a jealous God, and he's the definition of good. Also Wrath of God.
They're called sins, but they're really not, they're just character traits. It's perfectly possible to have every virtue and vice on this quest's lists at the same time.
You can be slothful and diligent. You don't bother to do much that isn't important, but if you have to do something you don't stop until it's done.
