Magical Girl Flesh Horror~!

It is dangerous still, if she reacts badly we're in for a world of hurt, but it's also a very strong card to show her if it works as far as gaining trust and being transparent goes.
I think that showing the Core would work if there are enough reassuring keywords on the Asset to give off a good impression about being good and human enough to not be seen as a monster.
Maybe something to make the Core look less fleshy? People react to weird alien/animal/vegetal stuff better than to skinless living meat.

We already have cute and likeable, let's brainstorm some more ideas: Trustworthy, Aura of calm, ultra cute, eldritch, mind breaking, uncanny.

Wait, the last words may not help....

I don't think that revealing our core is a good idea right now. Revealing our 'secret identity' and explaining how we aren't your typical person, sure! I also think that revealing more over time to more people is a good idea. As we are tied to one specific spot and our core can't be moved it makes sense build towards a public reveal and acceptance. If we're popular enough and a public figure then there's potential for pressure to prevent anyone from moving against us, at least in the open.

Though that does come with some issues. Magical girls aren't legal, from what I understand. If we have a publicly know core that's tied to our magical girl persona then that just means that even if we are revealed to the public and we have the popular support to prevent our outright extermination on matter or principal (I'm assuming that there isn't necessarily laws that say we would need to be exterminated on discovery), there could be legal justification for 'arresting' us, which a public outcry wouldn't necessarily stop?

Magical girls aren't legal, from what I understand.

Completely illegal, they're seen as terrorists.

Principle, "A principle is a rule, a law, a guideline, or a fact. A principal is the headmaster of a school or a person who's in charge of certain things in a company"

This typo is so common place I grew tired of it.

(I'm assuming that there isn't necessarily laws that say we would need to be exterminated on discovery)

Magical Biohorror, Something tells me that if a law like that didn't already exists, it would very quickly, revealing ourself to the public is for after we control our own independent nation state, not before.

Anyway, I think it's about time to propose a plan or two:

[] Plan: All your base are belong to us, Crouching Tiger version.
-[] Recycle Underground Ghost
-[] Remove Fast and Empathetic from Super-Spy
-[] Add Exponential Growth, Empathetic, Pleasant looking to our Core
-[] Add Stalwart, Empathetic, Convincing to Alibi Spy.
-[] Spread yourself to *Your Tunnels* in the underground.
-[] Send Alibi Spy to discuss with Laurie in the Back-Alley Market
--[] *insert arguments here*
-[] Send Super-Spy to discuss with Sylvia in the School Theater.
--[] Explain a little of your situation to her and try and convince her to go see Martin with you to learn more about you, once there, tell them you want to show them something to help them trust you and show them your core.

This version is the one where we show our core to Sylvia and Martin, I don't know what arguments to use on Laurie, so feel free to propose some, also would love help in how to convince Sylvia to see us and not freak out.

[] Plan: All your base are belong to us, Hidden Tentacles version.
-[] Recycle Underground Ghost
-[] Replace Fast by Convincing on Super-Spy
-[] Add Exponential Growth to our Core
-[] Add Stalwart, Empathetic, Convincing to Alibi Spy.
-[] Spread yourself to *Your Tunnels* in the underground.
-[] Send Alibi Spy to discuss with Laurie in the Back-Alley Market
--[] *insert arguments here*
-[] Send Super-Spy to discuss with Sylvia in the School Theater.
--[] Explain a little of your situation to her and try and convince her to go see Martin with you to learn more about you.

Here's the version where we don't show our core, still go see Martin, she wants to see our life, she get to see our friends. Same asking for help as for previous plan.

Edit:

Updated versions of plans with architect's existence remembered later.

Lmao two typos in one. Should have been 'matter of principle'.

Magical Biohorror, Something tells me that if a law like that didn't already exists, it would very quickly, revealing ourself to the public is for after we control our own independent nation state, not before.
Not sure how i feel about nation statehood as an end goal? Regardless, if you feel that that's the position you'd be comfortable revealing ourselves to the public in I'm surprised you're advocating showing our core to anyone? Especially someone we just meet. It seems like a pretty big risk.

Anyhow, I do like these plans, although they don't have anything for architect to do.

If we go there keep the core hidden route, it might be worth adding some of the keywords we have on the tree of abundance to our core. This might let us brush off brief or incidental contact without blowing our cover before we're ready.

That uncertainty is actually why I made two plans, I can see pros and cons for both sides, and can't decide on that.

Architect is not written amongst our assets at the end or the update, good thing you reminded me, that's 4 more biomass to play with, hmm, thinking necroshroom's return:

[] Plan: All your base are belong to us, Crouching Tiger version.
-[] Recycle Underground Ghost
-[] Recycle Architect
-[] Remove Fast, Refresh and Empathetic from Super-Spy
-[] Add Exponential Growth, Empathetic, Pleasant looking to our Core

--[] Explain a little of your situation to her and try and convince her to go see Martin with you to learn more about you, once there, tell them you want to show them something to help them trust you and show them your core.
-[] Necrohroom goes root itself in the sewers

With core showing.

[] Plan: All your base are belong to us, Hidden Tentacles version.
-[] Recycle Underground Ghost
-[] Remove Refresh from Super-Spy
-[] Replace Fast by Convincing on Super-Spy
-[] Add Exponential Growth to our Core
-[] Add Stalwart, Empathetic, Convincing to Alibi Spy.

-[] Necrohroom goes root itself in the sewers

Version without showing core.

Edit:

If we go there keep the core hidden route, it might be worth adding some of the keywords we have on the tree of abundance to our core.

Almost forgot: No touching the tree this turn, it is one turn away from giving biomass.

Am beginning to think of recycling it and adding its words to necroshroom next turn, too many words on hiding, not enough on pure biomass gains.

Rather than creating an asset, why not add the necroshroom keywords to the core and expand directly to the sewers?

Rather than creating an asset, why not add the necroshroom keywords to the core and expand directly to the sewers?

Wants to see what spreading does first, we don't know enough details, except it gives us more options, the shrooms were made to be a sewer asset originally, may as well see how fast they grow when used this way, then we have data to compare to using those kinds of words on the core.

I'd like to pursue healing keywords for Laurie. Not only to help her, but also because I don't think we ever got around to healing Martin's addiction.

We haven't healed Martin yet, it's on our to do list, we did diagnose him, and that's part of why we need to get Sabrina out and about fast, he's probably not the only person to whom she is giving drugs to make them not suffer withdrawal, and every day she's not there giving it increases the risks of someone dying from that... actually, do you think we could use this argument on Laurie? Not alone, obviouosly, but to show to her that Imprisonment is not a solution, but a source of problems, it would be a solution if the guards where willing to help the victims, but we know enough about them to know that they are more likely to get them to jail right next to Sabrina without any help for the withdrawal than to help them in any way.

That sort of situation is part of why I'm strongly for rehabilitative justice over retributive justice, amongst other reasons.

Including my argument to my plans:

--[] Talk to her about Martin, how he got addicted out of the government's fault, then left to rot. About how Sabrina is the one helping him now, and probably others, she said her brother died of the consequences of drugs, did she think about the ones that depends on Sabrina to not go through withdrawal right now? How every day where she's not there to give them what they crave is one more day where they may decide to go to a dealer that is more willing to exploit them? How there are other young people like her that may see their sibling go through withdrawal and could even decide to blame her for it even if it's not true? Yes, Sabrina needs to pay for her crimes, but the guards aren't interested in that, they just want to make examples, never thinking about the people they hurt on the way. Sabrina can pay for her crimes by helping those she hurts get better, by working for them, we are not asking Laurie to forgive her, we are asking her to allow the others that are suffering to also be helped.
-[] Send Super-Spy to discuss with Sylvia in the School Theater.

Man, the argument really wanted to get out there once I began, thanks for the inspiration, now I basically doubled the size of my vote thanks to you (yes, it's a good thing).

As always, first plan is the one where we show our core and second is the one where we don't.

Showing our core sounds like a bad idea. It would be too much too quickly, oversharing won't help anyone.

To iterate the plan a bit...

[] Plan: Spy Triplets
-[] Recycle Underground Ghost
-[] Recycle Architect
-[] Remove Fast, Stalwart from Super-Spy

-[] Add Exponential Growth, Empathetic, Stalwart, Disguise to our Core
-[] Create an asset: Twin Spy
--[] keywords: Humanoid, Disguise, Trustworthy
-[] Add Magical Healer, Doctor to Super Spy

-[] Spread yourself to *Your Tunnels* in the underground.
-[] Send Super Spy to discuss with Laurie in the Back-Alley Market
--[] You noticed she wasn't looking very well. You could try to heal her if she is okay with it?
--[] Talk with her about her brother. You want to understand how things were between him and Sabrina, and why she blames Sabrina for what happened to him. You heard he had a journal?
--[] Talk with her about Sabrina. Maybe you could talk to Sabrina about her brother? You doubt Sabrina would be happy to hear he died either. You know you aren't unbiased, but the Sabrina you know is not some unfeeling monster.
--[] Talk with her about Martin, how he got addicted out of the government's fault, then left to rot. About how Sabrina was the one helping him. A poor solution yes, but the only one she had. How every day where she's not there to give them what they crave is one more day where they may decide to go to a dealer that is more willing to exploit them? How there are other young people like her that may see their sibling go through withdrawal and could even decide to blame her for it even if it's not true?

--[] Yes you could try to do it without her, but it's not just convenience. Time could be lives.

-[] Send Twin Spy to discuss with Sylvia in the School Theater.
--[] Explain a little of your situation to her and try to get to know her a bit in return. You are not a very normal person, but you do have normal parts to your life too. You work a normal job and get paid in normal money! You live in an normal (abandoned) building and talk to normal people every day!

-[] Patrol Your Street with Alibi Spy

The Necroshroom can wait another turn. If we are planning to recycle the tree next turn then we can move that biomass into the Necroshroom. Instead I would like to make sure we still have an asset to do our usual round on our street. It is still our best way to generate biomass. If we hadn't kept doing it last turn then we would have 2 less biomass this turn. If we don't do it this turn we will have 2 less then we could have next turn.

Adding empathetic, Stalwart to our core are likely to come with mental effects, but not necessarily bad ones. If they become a problem we can always recycle them.

Part of my plan here relies on strategic doubling up of keywords. We were told that if we have the same keyword on both our core and an asset the effects stack. So having Disguise both on our assets and core should help cover the small inconsistencies the Alibi Spy had issue with this update. It should also just serve as a good keyword for letting all of our assets draw less attention, and help our core blend in a bit now that we are spreading out.

Empathetic will also be doubled up on our Super Spy. Since dealing with Laurie will probably be a matter of working through emotions primarily. Magical Healer on it too just to see if we can help her. Doctor too just for general medical ability.

Make a third asset of the Spy series instead of reassigning the Alibi Spy. Humanoid just to try out what it is like in comparison. Plus she wanted to meet us normal like, so looking more normal will help. Looking a little different then how we did in "magical girl" mode shouldn't raise any eyebrows.

Well, I'm going to confirm my votes then, with some changes to the hidden tentacle version with JayTar's arguments to Sylvia, actually, let me also steal his iteration of the talk with Laurie (minus healing) for both votes!

Why oh why did my PC had to decide today was the day it didn't want to go to SV? It's a goos thing I already had the plan premade or writing on my phone would have been a nightmare.

[X] Plan: Spy Triplets

As mentioned I like the idea of taking healer for this. Though I don't think the Hidden Tentacles plan is bad.

I do think we should not being showing our core to anyone we don't trust.Even Sabrina reacted badly when we showed it to her. And while we have since added Cute to our core it's still a room covered in flesh with a vaguely humanoid column in the center. I don't think that will go over well.

At this point, the Crouching tiger version of my plan (the one where we show our core) is there for completion's sake, I do see pros to doing it if it works, but that's a pretty big if and the result if it doesn't is not pretty, I am not really going to push for this one.

I do prefer my Hidden tentacle plan, for the healing, I do not think she will accept anyway, and I want to plant our necroshroom now. Not to mention that having three identical versions of us running around is too much IMO, too big an increase in the risk of someone seeing more than one and asking questions, we can skip patrolling for one turn, it's not really that important, we will gain one biomass from the tree anyway.

I don't think having 3 of us running around is too big of a problem. They will be in different parts of the city, and even if someone does see more then one of them, well so what? Most likely they would just think it's someone who looks similar. Human memory is very fallible. Next most likely would just be thinking we are the same person. We could have just traveled from wherever they saw us first to where they saw us second like they presumably did. At the very worst we may have to field some questions about us having sisters or something.

I feel the talking part could maybe use some refinement though hmm. Maybe a bit more on the Sylvia part? Or streamlining the Laurie part a bit? Needs some thinking.

I have to admit, I also quite want to get the necroshroom online and really think that we can skip one turn of patrol, and our triplets won't begin in different parts of town, they all have to come from our building at the beginning, that's the moment I am wary of, since that's also the place where there are the most people who knows us and could decide to investigate.

I feel the talking part could maybe use some refinement though hmm. Maybe a bit more on the Sylvia part? Or streamlining the Laurie part a bit? Needs some thinking.

I'm a little out of ideas on that, unfortunately.

I was concerned about this as well. My main concern is that if the Rooftop Alliance compares notes and they find that two members had conversations in different parts of the city with people both professing to be Scarlet at the same time, it could cause issues for us. Just some note in the plan to ensure that doesn't happen would be nice.
I have to admit, I also quite want to get the necroshroom online
I'm wondering if it might be good to wait to see what spreading does for us. We know the routine patrol nets us 2 biomass. Contrast this with the tree which gets us 1 biomass every 2 (or was it 3?) turns. I feel like Necroshroom is likely to be another tree, not another patrol.

The thing is, we can have both the patrols and the shroom once it's online, we don't need to patrol this turn for sure, and having one more turn to know how much the shroom gets us and if we should add more words from it is one more turn of having more biomass than if we patrolled this turn and had to make the shroom, even worse when you take into account that we constantly put getting these kinds of generators to later, do it now, stop moving it to tomorrow, the best way for us to hit an exponential curve is to invest on biomass growing.

I want to plant the shroom now, not wait more and hope it pass at one point, and 2 biomass is a price I'm perfectly willing to pay for it. Particularly since I feel like getting three humanoid assets now is overkill.

I am getting tired of having to fight to invest in the future and constantly have to make sure the latest plans don't remove our already placed generators with promises of *we'll remake them next turn* that are never followed, last turn was supposed to have the architect made to allow the shroom to go to the sewers then we remake the shroom and I would like to follow the plan for once.

In fact, if the problem is the two biomass from the patrol, I have a solution; here's an alternative plan that put Laurie to later and patrol this turn, even gives more biomass to invest on being more convincing to Sylvia:

[x] Plan: All your base are belong to us, Patrol version.
-[x] Recycle Underground Ghost
-[x] Remove Refresh from Super-Spy
-[x] Replace Fast by Convincing on Super-Spy
-[x] Add Shapeshifter and Diplomat to Super-spy
-[x] Add Exponential Growth to our Core
-[x] Create new asset: Necroshroom
--[x] Keywords: Roots, Saprotrophic, Refresh, Fungal, Hydroponic, Explosive Growth
-[x] Spread yourself to *Your Tunnels* in the underground.
-[x] Send Alibi Spy to patrol your streets.
-[x] Send Super-Spy to discuss with Sylvia in the School Theater.
--[x] Explain a little of your situation to her and try to get to know her a bit in return. You are not a very normal person, but you do have normal parts to your life too. There, this plan's moto is *slow and steady wins the race*, we have three girls to convince and it will take two days no matter what, we may as well talk to the girl where we have an angle of attack to now, with all our attention devoted to her to make sure we convince her, then we'll be able to target the other two more precisely next turn, particularly since one of them is likely to be the easiest to convince since she will be with someone else that will work with us on that.

This actually also alleviates the problem of *what if they compare notes and see that we talked to more than one at once?*, both because it simply doesn't happen this turn, but also because we can then use the tactic next turn but with one of them already knowing about it and so being willing to explain it.

I'm curious about the interactions between biomass producers and a spread out Core.

I'm curious about the interactions between biomass producers and a spread out Core.

I am too, and I want to spread, we do have social obligations but we can still work on gaining more biomass while doing them, as I said, all plans are already taking at least two turns to convince all the girls, we don't need to go full bore on that this turn since we'll need to have every one of them on the same page at the end, I don't want to tear their friendship apart, and forcing some to release Sabrina against their will is the kind of things that considerably increase the chances of that happening.

Convince Sylvia first since we have an angle, ask her to help us convince Laurie since she's the one we really need to convince and the fulcrum of this whole group, and Kari should be the easiest one to work on.

--[x] Explain a little of your situation to her and try to get to know her a bit in return. You are not a very normal person, but you do have normal parts to your life too. You work a normal job and get paid in normal money! You live in an normal (abandoned) building and talk to normal people every day!

I'm honestly not super sold on the utility of the trees and necroshroom. Some small amount of biomass every few days is negligible compared to reliable 2 biomass every round from patrolling. We can gain that 2 biomass with a 3-4 biomass asset, whereas the generators are 5+ apiece. I feel like exploring the options/potential in spreading ourselves, and exploiting interactions with the world if more beneficial than sinking a bunch of biomass into a fixed asset for a small, consistent return.

I'm not opposed to necroshroom or anything, but if it turns out to return similar to the tree, I feel that the biomass is better spent elsewhere. The tree… i feel like we should add some observation/lookout related keywords to it so that it has some extra utility, as right now I'm not sure it's a worthwhile investment as is.

So far as only talking with one person, it may take multiple days per person as well. I feel like talking to two people will help us get this resolved in two days vs 3 or 4, potentially.
