Magical Girl Flesh Horror~!

Hm. We don't really know much about the floor plan or here. Could we maybe explore the hallways and public places outside the theaters? Maybe find a nook to hide in while we listen to the Souls so we don't attract attention?
Anyway, I don't think having Sabrina talk to any guards would be a good idea. Would probably attract attention given how negative their preexisting relationship is.

Are the entrances to the theaters guarded or can we just walk in? We already are past the ticket booth.

I will in fact straight up answer those questions for you - The First Floor is largely "lobby", think movie theater atrium, with two large "theaters" going off it. These are, respectively, Heart-Pounding Adventure and Spine-Tingling Fear, with the second floor being a hallway off the stairs leading into employee-only areas and Tear-Jerking Drama. The Third Floor…well, that's where the Big Man is, so you're not sure - You won't have to worry about it till you go see him. The lobby/hallway are both very open and sparse beyond concession stands, with some seating off to the side as a mild concession to practicality of long visits - To encourage guests to filter into the theaters! And also to allow employees to keep an eye on any potential troublemakers.

The entrances are not guarded, but employees manning concession stands/doing janitorial work do seem to keep an eye on people going in and out, presumably for any sign of trouble/emotional distress/emergency.

Three theaters? That's ominous.

There are either multiple soul projectors, meaning this guy can probably make more, or else the device can attach and detach souls, which means even if we kill him, he may be able to take over someone else's body.

Go to the bathroom to "recover"? We can also investigate the fesibility of coming in through the plumbing while we are in there.

The "soul Eater" keyword could counteract that this does give me an idea for a another creation a gard dog/wolf (magical girl companion) that has the keywords "judgment" "companion" "soul Eater" "unbiased" "protector" and other things so it works as a battle companion / guard

Also have planned for a unit which I will code name "superpower pal" which is basically supposed to be Osana Najimi from Komi Can't Communicate being everyone's childhood friend sounds very useful

Somebody reminds me to draft up ideas for putting intelligence and or hive mind-based keywords on our core

Do be wary that keywords are not obligated to work they way we think they work. Especially when dealing with words that might eat people's souls.

-[X] You need to visit the ladies room to "recover"
-[X] While you are there, investigate if you can come in through the plumbing later (mark the pipes, so you can find the path from the sewer end?)
-[X] Listen to the Souls.

Soul eating seems like a bad idea, and I think Scarlet would also be reluctant to do that.

Does Sabrina know if the employees know what state the souls are in? Someone might be inclined to meet up secretly and provide some info later if Herman is lying to his people and we can talk someone into sharing our ears for a minute.

I don't think we can count any kind of inside help. Sabrina's description makes it sound like every mage has the same reaction, and she at least is not quiet about it. I doubt any of the staff are any particular state of ethical ignorance as to what is happening here.

Maybe Psychopomp instead of Soul Eater? Being a "guide of souls" would both help with dealing with any victims, and any other soul magics or contingencies.

As for the staff, I expect most of the regular staff are just non-mages. And thus due to not experiencing it directly can dismiss any accusations about what their machines do as unsubstantiated rumors. Some combination between denial and good propaganda on Herman's part.

I don't expect that we can get any of the staff to directly turn coat. But we probably can get them to tell us about things that they shouldn't by playing up our naivete and acting cute. Just say that we are interested but have reservations/are unsure and we can probably talk them into giving us a tour and/or spilling everything they know about their security.

Anyway, I do like the idea of stopping in the bathroom, but maybe we should check out a theater first while suspicion is low? We just walked in, for all the rest of the staff know we are a paying customer.

It seems an even worse idea when you remember how adverse to killing Scarlet is, I doubt we're going to kill him, so eating his soul is right out.

No, I think it works for doing it right now, when we look our most sick from the aftereffects of the hurricane.

Thinking about it some more I do think if we could rebroadcast the soul screams to the employees it would be very effective though. It might not turn any of them against Herman, but it would probably incapacitate them given that even regular mages feel it when entering and what happened to us.

Shame we don't have our ghost body near us, it probably be very helpful in explore this place by going through walls and locked doors. Actually, if we have time later, we might want to see if the sewer connects to this place

Really if we want to end this place thoroughly, really salt the earth, we can't just burn down the building.
We need to discredit the idea. Make it so Herman doesn't just collect insurance money and start up again elsewhere. Or if not Herman then someone else.
Broadcasting to the employees is a good start. I'm thinking right prior to our assault we figure out a keyword combo to that lets us temporarily bestow soul sense on a large scale. The employees, and the customers.

We also need to figure out what to do with the victims.

We are an eldritch horror of Love and Justice, I say make a keyword combo of Soul Jar, Calming, and Therapist for the souls to get them some help, then try and get them back to their owners.

I meant more in a sense of after that. We have been told that Herman preys upon the desperate. What's going to happen to them once he is gone?

What's going to happen to them once he is gone?

That's always one of the biggest problems with that kind of affairs.

Something we could do for Herman in particular would be to *attack* during the day with a specialized asset, while making sure super-spy is very visible with Sabrina. Said asset could make everyone feel what the souls feel, we could also make it so that people keep their memories of what they felt during the time they were disembodied for the show, discourage them strongly on repeat performances.

Basically, that's how I see us sabotaging the very idea, we need to discredit the owner completely, make sure nobody trust him if possible, then we burn his business.

Thinking of these and a wombo-combo of Empathic, Soul-Sense, Telepathic, and Relay will really get these people feeling it, and add it to an invisible asset for extra sneaky.
