I honestly feel like we should try to talk things out first. We've tried talking with literally everyone we meet. So I'm not sure it's in character to jump to an immediate ambush.
Would it be best to change the keyword Perceptive to something like Persuasive then? Even if we want to just talk, no reason not to change a keyword to improve our chances.I honestly feel like we should try to talk things out first. We very well may have no other choice. The information we are getting, likely memories from our Donor, indicate that this person is very very bad news.Is trying to kill this man really a good idea? He is a mage with unknown capabilities, and it is not guaranteed that we will be able to take him on and win. Meanwhile, there is a nonzero chance that a fight can result in the destruction of our hiding place, and we can't afford our main body to be exposed. On the other hand, our memory indicates that the man relies on deception first and foremost, so it is unlikely that he will try to immediately attack us, especially since our Super-Spy looks like an ordinary girl. I feel that we should focus on distraction, while getting him away from our hideout.
You see something - RUN - strange in the sidewalk below - DON'T LET HIM GET CLOSE TO YOU - There's a man down there, walking into the doors of your home - STOP HIM NOW - And he's wearing the - YOU HAVE TO DO SOMETHING - weirdest piece of headwear. It's - HE'S NOT YOUR FRIEND - well, the best way you could - PLEASE - describe it would be some kind of wizard hat! Your head's started hurting all of the sudden.
We could try changing one of the core keywords and hoping the effects reflect on the Super Spy as well? But honestly, our options are quite limited, and with little knowledge of the mage we don't really know what we might need so it is a bit of a gamble. It's a good idea, but I wish we had something else to change. I feel like if we drop perceptive we may miss picking up some clues when he lies or something.
Should we work on our mental resistance then? Maybe with a Willfull keyword? If he really has some charm magics, I think it is likely that our advanced perception might make us extra vulnerable to it.That combined with indications that he might have mental or social magics of some sort would indicate to me that engaging this person in conversation or letting them get a measure of us would be a very bad idea. Plus he is by all indications a liar and a manipulator. Not the sort of person you can engage with in good faith. Our best bet is a sudden unexpected assault with no time or opportunity for him to get clever.
I personally think we are so weak we will definitely lose in a fight, this is a good idea after knocking him out, but direct fight is back, I would suggest releasing poison gas if the author didn't say a sufficiently good mage can deal with antimatter bomb going in their face (this guy isn't necessarily that good but poison gas isn't anti matter).Should we work on our mental resistance then? The problem with trying to ambush him is that there is a good chance that we may not succeed. If Sabrina has a random Shield charm that she can just give away, it is not unlikely that this mystery man has something similar, especially since this man is knowingly trying to explore a possibly dangerous place. We very well may have no other choice. The issue with this that it would doubly leave us at a disadvantage. First in that we did not get a more combat aligned keyword when we had the chance, and second in that we would be forfeiting the advantage of surprise. I would rather simply attack and win before he has any chance to attack at all. And if something does go wrong we have Shield to protect us.Should we work on our mental resistance then? Maybe with a Willfull keyword? If he really has some charm magics, I think it is likely that our advanced perception might make us extra vulnerable to it.
If we can't beat him in an ambush, then we really can't beat him in a fair fight after he knows we are here. An ambush is our best shot, we best not waste it.The problem with trying to ambush him is that there is a good chance that we may not succeed. The key is that we know that he is lying and manipulative, so we will not exactly be discussing with him in good faith. He shouldn't be able to know that we already have memories of him.
1: He is obviously super EvilI Worry about the fact that we immediately move to MURDER, but i don't really have an alternative.
What would our friend think ?
Paralysis can totally kill someone if it affects their heart or lungs. Poison vs medicine being all about the dose and all. While I don't think attacking and trying to take him out fast are bad options, I think it's worth looking at more subtle approaches in this situation. Also, weren't the poison sacks we installed earlier less like actual poison and more akin to paralysis?
Though hmm. A sudden thought. If this man's main threat is magical powers, how about instead of going for Blitz we go for Anti-Magic? It would make us less powerful of a combatant, but we would hopefully be more resistant to any tricks. If the Anti-magic works with our Shield then it will protect us really well, and if it works with our Poison then it will be a really great option for disabling him. Anti-magic poison.
I worry that putting it on our core means it won't integrate as well with our Poison and like. Letting him reach our Core is a big bad no. We need to act decisively here.I just had another potential idea involving Kudzu, albeit I forget where exactly they are in relation to our core except just on a higher floor. Changing either Bountiful or Photosynthetic into Sleeping Gas or something similar, though I'm not entirely certain which would be best to get the desired effect. It...could end up not actually being able to do so fast enough for what would be needed, but basically just get Kudzu to mass produce and completely flood the lower floors with the gas--maybe or equivalent to hopefully knock the guy out without him being able to avoid it. I guess another issue with this would be if it wasn't transparent though.
Ah. I now just had another idea, albeit--
Wow. You posted the same exact idea I just had, except that I was thinking from more of a defensive stance with just putting Anti-magic straight onto our core.

Do note that if we put anti magic on our core, it could cripple us, we are magical after all and need magic to be as effective as we are in modifications.
