Magical Dreams (Warframe/Negima)

I mean we channel Void energy just fine, so it at least has some properties of our Warframe. By which I mean it's probably more along the lines of "human shaped" than "human."

And we can't really afford to assume it's not made of infected stuff.
Well technically...
It is human, even if it's a warframe. Because at least the original warframes are -or rather, were- humans. The infestation they're made of really isn't inert at all; it's just altered, so that instead of turning people into "consume everything" monsters it turns them into warframes, and it takes an active effort to infect someone. An active effort like using warframe blood in a transfusion, for example.

So, wait. If Ivara does form a pactio and her artifact can't handle Void, will the artifact be destroyed? Is that a thing?

idle thought: It would be funny if she got a non-bow artifact like, I don't know, an enchanted map with the way everyone (including me) is assuming it's going to be a bow.

I'm honestly not sure if Ivara would love or hate a map that updates itself.
Honestly the marauder's map would be kinda uselsus, since she already has passive enemy radar.

Just you guys watch, her pactio is gonna be a javelin, trust me. She could technically even shoot it from a bow!

I probably would be more amenable to Pactio if there's no kissing Negi.

Sharing blood is likely a veeeery bad idea, so practically speaking, I prefer no Pactio with Negi.

Pactio is basically custom artifact, so anything goes. If it can't resist Void, it might be destroyed. Or it might be desummoned. Or it might debuff the Void to the level it can handle.

Anything goes, really.

Pactio system searches for an artifact which is compatible with the wielder's needs and desires, which includes a divinatory element, and it CAN grant artifacts which do not exist(Chachamaru's Satellite Cannon was summoned from the future). If it can't find an artifact that can handle Void it'd scour possible dimensions for suitable loot.

And considering Ivara's bow is an actual item rather than a void construct, we might actually get it.

I'd be surprised if it wasn't our bow, considering how the Void doesn't exactly play well with others as much as it makes other things work with it.

I'm not that well read on either Negima or Warframe so i don't know how unlikely this theory may or may not be, but is there a chance a pactio could actually be harmful to Negi? What with void and stuff. And not even with the trading blood, but just the ritual itself.

Do we even know how Pactio's work? I know it's so the magician can send power into the bodyguard, but how does it do this? There has to be some kind of link from both sides, and while i doubt Ivara would be negatively affected by something like that, i can't say the same about a pre-magia erebea Negi.

...And that made me think of Ivara using a void based Magia Erebea.

Negi would...probably be fine? I'm not all that read on negima and the magia erebea thing, but he's not an adult, and all the kids on the zariman were fine. Ish. With only a minor case of tragic backstory.

edit: Might get weird if it manages to tap into Transference somehow?

I'll second this. As long as we don't use our blood and just kiss him, 99% sure Negi would be fine. Things getting weird is much more likely, but he pulled off a pactio with Chachamaru, so I think it will work out.

There's no real need to find an alternative to Negi, and no way in hell are we going to Eva after what just happened; I just want a pactio with with Ryuujou because I'm a lousy shipper, even if no one else in the thread or Ivara herself is concerned with romance. :V

A ship with not!carrier Sempai? I can get behind that.

The card is the link, enabling telepathic communication and a mana transfer for pactio partners to boost themselves, but both of these are optional. The pactio partner can power everything on their own if they have their own energy source, as we see in the Mundus Magicus arc.

Re-reading the story and
Whenever Zazie comes along, she always just sits next to you in relative silence, a rare moment of peace and quiet from the normally chatty young lady. Once or twice before she asked a few odd questions about your family, or whether or not you knew certain names. You couldn't quite place what she was asking for, but you answer her as best you can, as your situation permits, leaving her to nod and ponder.
Does Zazie think Ivara might be a fellow demon? Maybe Void and Demon powers feel similar?
