This is the most split vote that has ever not been discussed.
If not, then certainly one of them.

No-one else seems at all willing to argue for the merits of their plans.

I suppose I could get the ball rolling.
[X] Why would I want something? You're a cool guy.
-[X] Although if you're still kicking when the Skyrim civil wars starts watch out for the Dawnguard and that pillock Harkon.
this is certainly not a bad one. In effect quite close to mine, in that he would be likely to be well-disposed enough towards us to vouch for us if we asked him later.

I would add a warning about looking out for necromancers trying to infiltrate his staff, though.

At First I thought that the veiled allusion to his immortality was a problem, then I realised that no-one else knows how long away it would be.

Also, I wonder if the steward already know his master's nature? If so, saying something like "it was the least I could do for Nirn's most upstanding vampire" could be fun.

[X] three things lord
-[X] the first we indend to strike the Dark brother hood and we have the infomation to do so. when the time comes can we expect your aid?
-[X] the second is I ask that you prepare your cityes defenses. some time in the next few years there will be a threat that emerges to all of Tamriel and your city will play a part in it's survial
-[X] the final thing If a man known as Brother Martain arrives in your city treat him well. he is EXTREMELY important to dealing the threat.
the first two requests are pretty big, and probably more valuable than the info we gave him.

[] I could use aid with a rather difficult quest. I have no particular preference, however, as to what form this aid might take.
-[] This very important quest is to end the dark brotherhood. As you can imagine, gold, magical items, or powerful companions could all have their uses.
--[] *to our allies* "Hey, you guys wanna see if we can get Freyja to come with us?"
[] If it seems necessary to justify our quest: "While I'm sure many others have tried and failed to end the dark brotherhood, none of those groups had me in them. Don't consider our quest hopeless when Fast, the self-aware Order Daedra with many voices and prophetic knowledge is here to mix things up."
Actually, do you know what would probably be the most useful thing he could give us to use against the DB?

I think it would probably be a letter of introduction to Adamus Philida.

Given the choice, the weapon I would use against the DB is the Imperial Legion.

So if you go with this one, maybe ask for a letter of introduction as your first preference?

Also, I don't think this is the time to ask the others the opinion on recruiting freya.

I'm also not sure where I stand on putting it about that we are after the DB. They have a good information network, and may pick up on it.
[X] I want a stamp that features a cat face and the words Meow.
-[X] I also want permission to use it to mark below any and all posts I come across.
Me-OW!

ask for more gold! i'll support the plan that asks for more gold and proper equipment for our adventuring party!

also...

[x] I want Justice League costumes for me and my friends!
-[x] also gold!
MumbleBatmanMumble.

No-one else seems at all willing to argue for the merits of their plans.

I suppose I could get the ball rolling.
But not the merits of your own plan?
At First I thought that the veiled allusion to his immortality was a problem, then I realised that no-one else knows how long away it would be.
Honestly I mostly expect them to dismiss it as the ramblings of a mad man.

But not the merits of your own plan?
They have been reasonable exhaustively laid out in the two posts I made on the subject, I feel. :V

Edit: gold, equipment and such are nice, but the true battle to come will be fought by us convincing those who hold the giant hammers that we know where to being down said hammers.

The support of Janus Motherfuckin' Hassildor opens up doors for us in a pretty major way.

Not sure whether we should tell him about his future necromantic infiltrator problem.
They often wear gender-identifying clothing, which is how I usually tell. :p

Can I convince anyone to vote with me? Having the count vouch for us would, say, allow us to more easily convince the legion dude that we know who the Dark Brotherhood's leadership are, convince someone with military clout to hammer the fuck out of Manky Cameron and the Mythic Dawn, and so forth.

It's a pretty big deal.

But to reiterate, If he is willing to later vouch for us in some way, it will be much easier to convince people we don't have dirt on that we are legit.

Given that doing we can kill or cripple all three of the sinister cults after us by convincing the right people that we know where they are, that is a big deal.

What, exactly, do you take issue with, or think is missing, or what have you?
You say that it opens doors for us but you don't describe them.
The support of Janus Motherfuckin' Hassildor opens up doors for us in a pretty major way.
What kind of doors are they?
Are they big or small? Are they opened or blown off their hinges, did they have an unpickable lock or was it a single tumbler. Are they Mahogany or Oak?
These are important questions?:V:V:V

The doors I describe are not made of anything so simple as Oak or mahogany, and can be as big or small as an idea.

There are many of them, one per person, each set in an insurmountable wall of Incredulity, and guarding the precious treasures of Belief and Action upon Belief. We have a key that unlocks on some of them, called I Read Your Wiki Page And/Or Played The Game, but it does not work on many others. Count Hassildor can give us a key that unlocks more of these doors with less hassle, a key named Someone Important Thinks This Guy Knows What He's Talking About.

The doors are made of a substance known as Assassment of Our Merit As A Source of Information.

Also, pardon me for thinking that your complaining about the pack of discussion meant that you wanted discussion, rather than indicating that you wanted someone to shitpost at. :p

Alright I can visualise them now.
Also shitpost is love. Shitpost is life.

In seriousness, though, if you did actually want to discuss the relative merits of the options, I'd be up for that.
I don't think the merits actually matter this much in this vote.
What we've actually got is something of a sliding scale between No reward needed and Unreasonable, and we can generally assume that each vote is optimised for the amount of gratitude that it assumes from the count.
The thing to gauge is how much he is willing to give us, as far as that goes there a couple of obvious things he will not allow, first and foremost being something that puts Skingrad in danger. On top of that? I feel that his time goes at a premium rate, hes a Count and hes busy counting.

Apologies I have a limited time span in which I can remain serious, normal analysis will now resume.
I don't really feel happy to judge which plans will go through and which won't. Except obviously the three things, that comits him to a presumably massive and yet vauge undertaking which will make him and his city enemies of an international assassin ring and since I feel that its at least a little implied that the Dark Brotherhood operate legally in Black Marsh given the ShadowScale tradition its not one that really has a good chance to succeed... At least based on what he can offer.

On the other hand taking the time to write this down has at least clarified why I don't like your vote.
It is also vauge, and he is, as you said
Janus Motherfuckin' Hassildor
by all accounts hes older, smarter and more powerful than our whole group and we're practically condescending too him by saying "We're going to do some shit that makes us powerful enemies. Be there to back us up, kay?" As far as he knows we're asking him to show up with the bail money after we've killed the Emperor.
The only people in the room are his trusted retainers, no need for the cryptic cloak and dagger nonsense.

However I the Amandus Philida idea is probably good.
[X] Would you happen to know Amandus Philida well enough to write a letter of introduction?
-[X] Also vauge warnings about Harkon and the Dawnguard. And Mercartor whats his face.

*drools*

Sorry I just woke up and I've things to do and places to be. I'm not particularly attached to my vote, and I like your description of those doors, so here you go. One free vote to do with as you please. Use it well.

[X] Skewfiend

[X] Why would I want something? You're a cool guy.
-[X] Although if you're still kicking when the Skyrim civil wars starts watch out for the Dawnguard and that pillock Harkon.

"We're going to do some shit that makes us powerful enemies. Be there to back us up, kay?"
What? No! The implication is: "We're going to need to make some powerful allies at some point. Once you're satisfied with our information, could you give us a good review?".

How is that in any way condescending?

Because he is

And I think he is used to people being respectful enough to tell him what they want rather than dancing around the question.
Maybe we're talking at cross purposes here.

You seem to be under the impression that my vote is to make veiled allusions about something we want and hope that he gets it.

By my lights, it is asking him to provide a certain kind of help in future, details to be determined at a later date.

It's not actually a letter of introduction to Adamus Philida that I'm after here, as he will likely not have time to verify and act on the information we gave him by the time we would need it. I believe we have a little dirt on Philida, and that he is obsessed enough that we can probably convince him without needing extra support.

If we get delayed enough, or if he disbelieves us, then yeah, we might want to call on the count's word for that, but otherwise, I was thinking more about when we have to convince people in the mage's guild or Blades about the necromancers and Mythic Dawn.

so, yeah, tl;dr, I'm not being wishy-washy, I'm asking for a slightly open-ended future favour.

My problem is that its a veiled allusion rather than just coming out and explaining this.

My problem is that its a veiled allusion rather than just coming out and explaining this.
What do you mean veiled allusion?

The request itself is perfectly clear:
[X] "I will, at some point, need to convince some powerful individuals in the Empire of my bonafides to prevent various catastrophes. If you were prepared, some time after you have verified and acted on my information, to vouch that I knew things I could not have, and gave sound counsel based on them, I would appreciate it."
-[X] "Given your position, and the personal nature of the specifics, I would understand if you were not, though."
That is quite clearly a request for him to tell people we aren't crazy at some future point whn he knows for sure we aren't crazy.

Unless you meant the fact that I did not lay out in exhaustive detail who exactly we are going to have to convince of what? Because that is still up in the air at this point, so I can't give a straight and concise answer on that.

I suppose one could vote to tell him everything I just told you, but that would be largely irrelevant to his interests right now, be frankly concerning (How many sinister cults have you pissed off?), and could potentially make its way to the wrong ears, making it harder for us.

If that still doesn't satisfy you, perhaps you could tell me how you would word the same request without "veiled allusions"?

Assuming you aren't just hassling me to describe non-existent doors again... -_-

Urgh I never knew the pain of people complaining about mobile before this. I thought I did by I didn't. Now I'm back on my laptop for a bit and will never try that again.
What do you mean veiled allusion?
I just used your wording.
Basically I want it made clear what we need him to vouch for us on and why he should belive us. If you just tell him now that Manimarco is coming back and Mehrunes Dagon seeks to invade the real world along with some other minor predictions then he can just investigate himself and say
"Oh yeah, he's already told me this. I've checked and its all true as far as I can tell." rather than "Oh this guy? Well, he told me one thing that was right..."

Onward, to adventure!
There are many things you consider. Gold is always good, not much you can't do with a sufficient amount of currency. On the other hand there's not all that much you actually want that he can really supply, besides he's a cool guy and extortion is mean. On the third hand he did offer and it would be impolite to refuse.... not to mention last minute consensus is a beautiful, beautiful thing.

"I will, at some point, need to convince some powerful individuals in the Empire of my bonafides to prevent various catastrophes. If you were prepared, some time after you have verified and acted on my information, to vouch that I knew things I could not have, and gave sound counsel based on them, I would appreciate it." You think that Janus motherfucking Hassildor has the kind of political clout to make certain that when you need to be taken seriously you are taken seriously.

"Of course, given your position, and the personal nature of the specifics, I would understand if you would not, though." You add hastily as one of the count's brows arches Vetinari style and Morlia kicks you as unobtrusively as she can. You aren't sure if she succeeds at the unobtrusive part but she did at the kicking part at least.

"That is no small thing you request." Count Hassildor leans back on his throne, face turned up a little so he's regarding the arching ceiling supports. "But, so long as you realise my support comes at my discretion then I see no problem with what you propose. I would be foolish indeed to deny that your information network, whatever it is, appears at least as potent as my own." You almost reel in shock that he agreed so easily and even sorta complemented the non-existent network of spies he assumes you, or one of your friends, has. That's very close to being too much awesome!

"T-Thank you very much!" You almost chime with happiness. Behind you there's the familiar sound of crystal on crystal, it's almost musical, and your glee fades as you see the Count's lips thin. You turn.

Tenor is doing the happy dance. Morlia is beet red with mortification and Diana has both hands clamped to her mouth to stop herself laughing loudly. You can still hear muffled giggles regardless.

"We'll be leaving now, my lord." Freyja sounds a little desperate. "Unless there is something else you require any of us for." She's not hopeful about that possibility. Count Hassildor waves a hand in dismissal, eyes still fixed on your dancing minion. You quickly tell Tenor to stop and order the trio of knights out of the hall. You follow at speed with the three women.

You evacuate the castle with all haste. When your group are beyond the gates and on the road leading up to the castle Morlia turns to you. "What in Akatosh's name was that?! Why was it dancing!?" She stabs a finger at Tenor, probably the only way she knew it was him is the lightning bolt symbol still visible on his chestplate. You should probably see about something more permenant soon, the charcoal is already smudged in places.

"I... don't know. Tenor why were you dancing?" You ask and the knight tilts his head to the right a few degrees, crystal grinding slowly over crystal.

"Happy dance." Tenor says slowly, slotting each syllable together carefully. His voice has a musical quality yours does not as if he's one or two seconds from starting a musical number.

"So you were happy?" You and Morlia ask at the same time. Tenor's head un-tilts itself then shakes and the knight points at you. "You were dancing because Fast was happy?" Morlia continues and gets a deliberate nod. "Why?"

Tenor shrugs unhelpfully. Morlia sighs, shoulders slumping. "Right, well, time to check on Lucas I suppose. He seemed rather eager to leave the city when we parted ways, better check he hasn't skipped out on us." Her thunderous expression effectively conveys what she'll do to him if he isn't where he's supposed to be.

"I should get back and report everything that's happened before Count Hassildor asks to see him." Freyja says and straightens her mail shirt unconsciously. "Just one thing," she says with a smile and stays just long enough to give you the directions to the place Lucas is staying. Morlia and Diana nod, clearly memorising each direction as Freyja imparts them.

Before too long you're walking down through the city to those carefully memorised directions until you reach the sign of the Evening Lark on a small, homely little house squashed between two much larger ones. They edge a spacious square with a modest willow tree planted in the centre and a lush patch of grass that merges into the tiled square about a foot from the tree trunk. There's something very peaceful about the area.

Not really the setting you pictured for Lucas' thiefly hidy-hole. "This can't be right." Diana mutters looking around. Good, you aren't the only one surprised. Morlia turns to you a smirk on her face.

"Well Fast, he's your thief so I think it's only right you ask after him." She gestures to the pale blue door of the Evening Lark Inn.

An Orderly Upgrade
Right then, here is what me and Orderboy have been working on. You see ever since you got that connection with our Obelisk we have had this little trickle of Order coming in. I put Orderboy in charge of that, since he cant really be corrupted considering his nature.

Since we are basically made of pure Order Crystal we can use this power to make some changes to our body.
We have pooled our knowledge, with me ensuring the upgrades are efficient and compatible with the Order energy and Green suggesting ideas.
So now we are pretty sure we have it figured out, all that's left is to pick what upgrade to do.

Your choices are
- [] Armour upgrade:
Always good for keeping us in one piece.
- [] Enhanced Physical capabilities: Pick one of our attributes and watch us slowly advance towards becoming perfect.
- [] Health, Stamina or Magicka: A quick boost to one of our most important traits, will work better than raising them via attribute, though of course we don't get the other bonuses accompanied by attribute enhancement.
- [] Sword Upgrade: Upgrade the Order Sword, pretty simple really.
- [] Mystery Mutation: Orderboy doesn't like this one. Pick it if you dare. (No seriously I have no idea what will happen, its pretty much just throwing energy at the wall and seeing what will stick)
