[X] "Dismiss summons and yield or die. You have at most three seconds."
-[X] Kill her if ten seconds pass, if the spider daedra returns, if she makes any hostile moves or tries to escape, or if you are in any way threatened.
-[X] If she complies, say "Medresi, on the authority of the Count of Skingrad, I am placing you under arrest. I give you my word that if you cooperate, I will make it known to the relevant authorities, so it may count in your favour in your trial."
[X] "First question: where are we, and what were you trying to accomplish here?"

Guys 10 seconds is way too long.
Of course we can count them rapidly but still..

In Ruins
You look down at Medresi, she's caused so much chaos in Skingrad, gave Freyja and the guards so much hassle in dealing with her spiders. You don't really have the authority to punish her for her crimes though, that's up to Count Hassildor.

"Dismiss summons and yield, or die. You have at most ten seconds." You tell her, your voice harsh and grating. "Ten, nine..."

"Rot in Oblivion, ignorant pig." Medresi snarls and you see a corona of ice form around her hand. You don't have a choice.

One Goliath swing and it's done. Her head rolls away and her body slumps over at your feet. You hear a scream from the spider daedra as her connection is severed and she's forced back to Oblivion.

There's a lot of blood on your sword, dripping slowly onto the pale marble under your feet. Spots of bright red join the growing pool at your feet. If you could swallow dryly and close you eyes you would. Instead you look away.

Was there anything else that you could have done? Was there a chance to bring her to Skingrad?

Replaying the fight between you, her, her spider minions and the spider daedra you don't think there was anything else you could have done. You barely scraped through this intact-ish. There's still a hole in your elbow and dents over the rest of you no matter how much better you feel. You're a little more confident in what you did now. It was still unpleasant and you wish you hadn't had to but you're pretty sure it was the right thing to do.... probably.... maybe.

Now you just have to get back to Skingrad and report your findings to the count! Which means you need to figure out where you are. You're rather hoping it's not a realm of Oblivion, that would be... awkward.

You hurry to the edge of the ruins, skirting the bloody puddle and the corpse, and look over the ruined walls. Green and yellow fields, dark forests and the looming walls of Skingrad to the west of you. Closer there are tumbled blocks and pillars of the same white marble as the ruined walls around you. You make out a few collapsed arches, as if, once upon a time, this place was under a domed roof.

There's no sign of the spider swarm from earlier but there are traces of webs and what might be a tunnel, or entrance, to some lower part of the ruins.

[ ] Explore the ruins
[ ] Go back to Skingrad

I'd say we're resuming our previous schedule but that's not quite true. Whatever, I'll figure a way back onto it or just make a new one :V

[X] Loot the body.
-[X] Focus with all your might on Skingrad. Then close your eyes, ignore your senses, empty your mind of all thoughts but those of Skingrad, and start walking.
--[X] Or as the voices in your head would say, "Fast Travel!"

-[X] place the head of Medresi into our inventory as proof of kill.
--[X] Sneakily sneak about the ruins, and attempt to find out what significance they have and what she was doing here.

Lads and lasses, let us not walk into a city clutching a severed head. It ain't a good look.

Also, the fact that Medresi recalled here suggests to me that this was either a lair of hers, or a place of some significance to her undertaking, perhaps an old shrine to mephala or something.

It would be nice to be able to front up with both a head and a hypothesis.

Fast Travel
You turn back to Medresi's body. There's no polite way to phrase looting her corpse but it needed to be done. Who knows what kind of crazy magic or potent potions she could be carrying. Not to mention you probably need to bring back some evidence of who she is and what she'd been doing to stop the Count carrying out his threat against your minions. Which also means you need to prove she's been dealt with.

You pick up her severed head carefully, hand each side of her face rather than just hauling it up by the hair. Her expression froze somewhere between anger and terror. You store it away quickly, not wanting to see that expression staring back at you for any longer than necessary. That done it's time to rifle through Medersi's pockets.

You find a battered worn diary, a glance through the tattered pages confirms that it chronicles her rejection by the Mages Guild, her experiments out here and her efforts to lead a spider fuelled war against those who rejected her. There's actually a line that reads 'First Skingrad, next the world!' in particularly sloppy handwriting. You might look closer at it later but for now you store it with everything else and continue looking.

There a book on summoning, with a stamp on the inside marking it as property of the Guild, which details the gestures and words to summon various daedra but most notably spider daedra. Medresi seems to have scribbled some notes in the margins around that spell, corrections and speculations mostly. That joins that diary and the next thing your search turns up is a double handful of spider eggs.

"Ew," you'd crush them but they're probably useful for some potion or other. If nothing else they're more evidence of what Medresi was up to. Next is a crystal like the one Medresi used for the teleport spell that brought you here. That gets stored very carefully, the last thing you want is it breaking and taking you god knows where. Finally you discover a pair of soul gems that glow softly purple. Souls gems are always useful.

You glance around at the ruins and the well of magical power one more time. You could stay and look around, it might even be a good idea, but the sooner you get back to Skingrad the sooner you don't have to worry about the Count trying to get rid of the obelisk and your minions.

That in mind you hurry from the tumbledown stones, face Skingrad and close your proverbial eyes. Mind clear of everything you focus on getting to Skingrad with all possible speed!

.......
.......

You reach Skingrad it what feels like no time at all! Clearly your plan worked perfectly.

That was the single most boring experience of my life

It Worked Perfectly!

You wave cheerily at the pair of guards on duty at the gates. "Hello! Name's Fast, I just got back from running and errand for the Count would you mind opening the gates so I can give him the good news?"

"Just wait a moment...sir." The guard doesn't sound so sure about that 'sir'. "Let me just send a runner to the castle for confirmation." You'd pout but that would probably just confuse things. Besides while you wait you can come up with a plan or read one of those books or see if you can get your minions to assure Morlia and Diana that you're fine. And Lucas, he should probably hear the good news too.
