Every moment you aren't tracking her captors properly is a moment Morlia is in danger. You can't afford to wait for anyone else to reach here. It's time to act.
Kicking the door down, sword waving and shouting war cries is a valid strategy. On the other gauntlet sneaking through quiet as a bat in the night has advantages when you're attempting to rescue someone. If they don't know you're coming they won't have any reason to hurt Morlia. Well, probably anyway.
That in mind you approach the door, sword shrinking and folding into itself to make a wicked little dagger of purplish crystal. The perfect weapon for a sneaky knight about to rescue a damsel in distress!
You reach out to stealthily push open the half rotten door.
CREEEEEEEEAK-THUMP
This was the logical outcome, Knights are not made for stealth.
Don't be a killjoy! Just because you're right doesn't mean you're correct!
The lightest touch of your gauntlet knocks it off its hinges, if it had hinges, with a slow, lingering creak that seems to last long after the thing hits the ground. The strings of bones hanging on string from the ceiling clatter, swinging madly back and forth. A pair of gangly, greenish skinned goblins jump back a little from the door raise their shields and swords.
Goddamnit!
If you can stop these two goblins from running off and warning the rest of the tribe maybe you can stick to the stealth plan. It's a better plan than doing nothing.
You dart forwards at the left hand goblin and swing up. Dagger arching up behind the shield and driving forward. You feel it hit flesh and shiver over bone. It dies, slides off your dagger and collapses into a heap. The other goblin screams and swipes at you clumsily with its sword.
You dodge nimbly back, sword whistling half a foot short of your chest. The goblin screams again and turns tail to run deeper into the cave. Nope! Not happening.
You lunge after the goblin, hoping at least to hamstring it. If you had been holding your sword rather than a dagger you'd probably have managed it. Instead you miss by about an inch and the goblin disappears into the darkness deeper in the cave.
On the plus side, meagre as it is, you see the goblin hop a little awkwardly over something. A trip wire you think and a glance at the ceiling confirms it. There's one of those spiked-ball-on-chain traps up there, ready to be sprung.
[ ] Wait for the inevitable charge of goblins, if you're lucky your minions Diana and Lucas will catch you up really soon
-[ ] Plan for engagement with the goblins
[ ] CHARGE!
-[ ] Plan? Or just more charge?
[ ] Write in another option
Fights scenes will, hopefully, mean faster updates than usual. That's the plan anyway.
