Hopefully we can get the small fry out of the way fast so we can concentrate on the Mourning Reaper.
Also, I've been thinking: How we can pull of both the fact that our face is known in the underworld, and the fact that we can present us as a a legitimate, law-abiding businessman in the future when our organization grows?

The same way everyone else does it? They can't arrest us for anything they can't prove. If we don't do stupid things such as robbing a store without a mask and pay our taxes, they can't do anything to us.

The results of this next combat round should be shocking.

There wasn't much time to prepare or plan for the fight ahead, but Roman did his best. Quick thinking came in handy as he gestured to two of the men that were closest to him, guys that he knew were good with their weapons and could actually lend him a hand in what he was about to do.
"You two, come with me," he instructed before glancing around. "The rest of you, spread out and go show those Grimm what you can do. They made a big mistake choosing to fight us." So he hoped, anyway. But they needed confidence right now, not uncertainty. He knew that much about motivating people.
The two nodded, weapons held at the ready as they joined him in advancing towards the Mourning Reaper. "Well, this is going to be fun," one of them grumbled with a hint of sarcasm, yet moving forward nonetheless.
"Relax," Roman replied with a grin. "What's the worst that could happen? And don't answer that." He really didn't need to get an answer about all the horrible ways he could die. He didn't plan to get killed by a Grimm, especially not in some forsaken place like this.
There wasn't much else to say as fighting broke out in the factory, Roman's men moving in on the outnumbered Grimm. The air was rapidly filled with the sound of gunshots and clanging metal, snarls and cries, as man met with Grimm to fight it out.
Reaching into his pocket, Roman produced a yellow Dust crystal this time as he drew near the Mourning Reaper. "Alright, let's see what this thing is made of," he commented aloud before tossing the crystal towards the Reaper, firing at it shortly afterwards to try and shatter it. He wasn't going to get a better time to use it, after all. [1D20>14=4 [Failure]
The crystal shattered with the sound of cracking glass, sending out a blast of power as the energy contained within the Dust crystal was liberated. It took the form of bolts of bright yellow lightning, arcing out and striking at everything in the immediate vicinity with a sudden fury that was as quickly gone.
Roman winced, a little, but the electricity nonetheless struck home as it impacted against the Mourning Reaper, racing through its form with a sudden jolt. Sadly, to his disappointment, it didn't seem to do anything to slow the creature down or stun it, which was unfortunate given the fact that his men were moving to fight the thing. It had to do some damage though, and he supposed that any bit help
Mourning Reaper: 37 HP
"Don't worry boys, I'm sure you've got this," Roman called out as his men moved in to attack, taking advantage of the distraction to strike out at the creature. He was glad to not be them, even if he didn't say as much out loud. 2D20 vs 1D20=22/20 [Success]
Luckily for them, the Dust had served to distract the Mourning Reaper, and with how big it was they didn't have as much of a problem hitting it as it did them, though it was somewhat spindly to compensate. Well, he didn't care too much so long as it got done.
With how it was built, shooting at it wouldn't do that much, or would be more difficult to hit it rather. So they moved in on opposing sides, blades at the ready, and they quickly struck at the things legs. It shrieked as the blows landed home, much to Roman's satisfaction.
Mourning Reaper: 30 HP
Then the turn around came as the Reaper recovered, striking out with one of its long arms in a swift blow that the guy it was aimed at barely had the time to dodge. Not good, that was for sure, but Roman was confident that they could weather it. That was what he paid them to do after all. 1D20 vs 1D20=3/3 [Failure]
Indeed he didn't dodge, as Roman expected might happen. The blow landed, impacting against the guys Aura and staggering him a bit. His Aura held up though, and that was all the criminal could ask for. They would just have to handle this thing fast. 1D20 vs 1D20=1/4 [Failure]
Then, sadly for all those involved, the thing attacked again, arm sweeping out at the other guy who was currently attacking it, and hitting him too as it impacted his Aura. That was...very unfortunate, but once again they would have to live with it, even as he staggered under the hit. Roman wouldn't let this thing get out so easily.
Mook 4: 21 Aura
Mook 5: 23 Aura
Even as that show went down, the fight went on around them unabated, man meeting with Grimm as the gang spread out to fight. Beowolves and Boarbatusks rushed forward, meeting with the defending personnel, outnumbered but not lacking in ferocity.
Fortunately, being outnumbered meant that his men could focus down, some of them teaming up as they moved past belts and machinery. The first was a Beowolf, doubled up on as two of his logistics oriented guys attacked it, while it confronted them. 2D20 vs 1D20, 7, 18 vs 6 [Success!]
Fortunately Romans men knew what they were doing, even if they weren't the best at combat, so they both managed to land hits. One was glancing, but the other was a more solid hit, injuring the Beowolf all the more and weakening it even if they didn't kill it.
Beowolf 1: 7 HP 1D20 vs 1D20=18/20 [Failure]]
In turn the Beowolf lashed out at the nearer of the two, striking with its sharp and powerful claws. Given that it could only focus on one target at a time, that meant that one guy was going to get hit, as he did. Fortunately he didn't take much damage, and could scramble away to recover for a few moments before getting back to the fight.
Mook 2: 18 Aura
The next Beowolf was confronted in the same way even as the two groups shifted to reach each other and coordinate against their common foe. Admittedly these guys were better than the logistics guys at fighting, but such was to be expected when they had a more well rounded skill set. 2D20 vs 1 D20= 13, 20/12 [Success!]
It showed, in fact, as they achieved as much success as the previous group in their fighting, dodging past one of the smaller furnace machines to hit it from two angles, dividing its attention and using that to strike at its flanks. Nonetheless the beast was quick footed, and they only scored minimal damage as it saw them coming and reacted accordingly.
Beowolf 2: 7 HP 1D20 vs 1D20 = 8/8 [Failure]
Drawing on that speed it then spun to the left, striking hard and quick before he had a chance to really retreat. Luckily Aura took the blow, as expected, but it was hardly the most welcome situation, that was for sure.
Mook 8: 17 Aura
Luckily the gap was closed between the two groups as they linked up, one of the guys from Roman's group aiding one of the pinned group as a Boarbatusk readied to move in, both of them focusing fire on that particular target. 2D20 vs 1D20 = 1, 10/1 [1 Success, 1 Failure
Sadly, the presence of its tough armor on top meant that at least one guy had his shots simply ricochet off, doing no damage at all. But the other guy seemed to find his mark, earning a few hits to the Grimm in the process.
Boarbatusk 1: 16 HP 1D20 vs 1D20 = 12/10 [Success]
In turn the Boarbatusk snorted aloud, curling into a ball and spinning in place before rushing forward at one of the two guys that was attacking it. Luckily the range involved meant that he was able to dive out of the way, saving him from any damage.
It was lucky that this place had long been abandoned, reducing the hazards as the men moved amongst the machinery present. No one wanted to risk an environmental hazard of moving parts and powerful engines, giving some relief. At the same time it aided them against the Grimm, allowing for better defensive positions while taking away some of the room the Grimm had to work with.
The remaining Beowolf moved for the formerly pinned group entirely, ignoring the new arrivals as it aimed for the men who had been injured. Luckily they were alert, and opened fire as it came in, trying to kill it before it could reach them. 2D20 vs 1D20 = 16, 15/18 [Failure]
Sadly the Beowolf managed to dodge, using the machinery to get above and bounce side to side, veering about to cause them to miss. That was a problem to be sure, and it became even more of a problem as it leaped at the guy in the front, striking with its sharp claws as it tried to rip him up in spite of his aura. 1D20 vs 1D20 = 10/8 [Success]
The luck that the Beowolf had was shared by the attacked goon as well, as he slipped back before it could hit him, a conveniently moved cart sending it tumbling at the same time. Not too bad all told, and while it was a pity that they weren't doing damage, not taking it was also good too.
That left the two Boarbatusks to fight, and the remaining combat oriented personnel who had been with the initial group moved to confront them. They had their training, and Roman was confident that they could handle things long enough to get some assistance when the rest of these Grimm were dealt with. 1D20 vs 1D20 = 16/5 [Success]
The first guy acquitted himself well enough, shifting to the side as he fired, tracking on the thing and trying to get past its armor. That he did successfully, earning sounds of pain from the Boarbatusk as it protested being struck. It did quite a bit of damage too, indicating how good he apparently was at his job.
Boarbatusk 2: 9 HP 1D20 vs 1D20 = 20/12 [Success]
That in turn provoked it to charge forward, spinning forward in a ball as it rocketed at him. But the previous tactics that he had adopted before worked in his favor as he was able to roll out of the way, saving himself from any damage at its hands. That was another Grimm being handled, to the overall benefit of the group. 1D20 vs 1D20 = 15/15 [Failure]
His companion did the same, attempting to shift back and keep space between himself and thw Boarbatusk as it pawed and growled. Sadly his accuracy wasn't as up to snuff, or the distance meant that it was harder for him to shoot through the spaces in the armor. Either way, the Boarbatusk went uninjured, much to general misfortune. 1D20 vs 1D20 = 10/15 [Failure]
Just as well, his tactics wasn't as effective in avoiding damage from the annoyed and injured Boarbatusk as it charged forward like its own counterpart, clipping him as he tried to dodge out of the way. His Aura took it, but risking this much probably wasn't a good thing.
Mook 7: 20 Aura
For a moment there was a slight break, at least as far as Roman was concerned. His men were busy but handling things, and it seemed that for the moment they had it well in hand. The Grimm were outnumbered and surrounded, and it was just a matter of wrapping this up before they got back to the important business of exploration and salvage.
"Boss, behind us!" Roman wasn't sure exactly who said it, but a quick look back revealed a trio of Beowolves advancing through one of the entrances, drawing near them and ready to attack. Presumably they had been drawn by the sound of combat, to add their own muscle to this fight.
Roman grumbled, sweeping the room as he focused on the overall situation, ready to issue new instructions as needed. "Wonderful, just what I needed," he grumbled to himself. Well, they'd just have to handle these new guys too. He was sure they could manage it.
do we really have time to shout a bunch of orders and reorient the entire battle? this sounds more like a case of us taking on the 3 newcomers and everyone else continuing as before.
