Life of Highs, Lowes, and Super Villainy (No SV, You are a Supervillain)

The Professor and the Olympian
The Professor and the Olympian

(The Professor POV)

Liara of Olympus, the Third Ranked hero In America fell from space.

Now this isn't an unusual thing for her, it happened all the time, working in space for the past five years led to that sort of thing happening pretty often.

No, the real problem was her landing in the front yard of one Darwin H. Havelock.

"Can I help you miss?" You said preparing to bend down and get the morning paper, coffee in hand.

"Is that Coffee? I haven't had real Cofee in weeks." She said.

"Sigh…I'll get a cup ready, and you can use the phone." You said as you covered your eyes and then threw a towel at her. "Cover up you just fell from orbit lady… You are lucky the neighbors are doing the commute to school and such."

"Sorry about that, life got a bit complicated for the moment out in the black." SHe said taking the towel and covering up as she walked into your home. "Thank you…"

"Of course." You said. "You know I almost considered moving up there, but then again its one way and wouldn't have much left to buy a good apartment."

"Yeah, it is expensive." She said, "I mean, most people who move there are well off."

"How is your friend group doing?" You said. "Given that they are mostly making rare public statements and working in space, Most of them anyway."

She put a hand on her chin. "Working on one of your betters."

Oh, she was dealing with HIM, wasn't she? The bastard was flexing with his moon base.

"Luna Lobos…how does he name something so iffy." You said. "What branding scheme did he do now?"

"He was…always in love with the moon…why do you think he's called himself Apollo Bane, though thats not his real Cape name." She said.

"He was always a nut of a man…really big astronomy buff, he lectured in NASA before going pro villain. Why do you think he built a moon base," you said. "Cost him all of his money, and some of his backers, even then he still has to rent to NASA, to get brownie points with the Yanks."

"He's playing in the station, mostly to see if he can get influence, the "Father of Space Crime" as it were…money is something." She said.

"Indeed, and the fall?" You said pointing at her towel.

"Got jumped on a Space Walk, fell, and I think it was to see if falling from the station would kill me…I lived so the guy who tried will be disappointed." She said.

"Indeed that would be a natural response. So…will I be expecting anything?" You said handing her a phone.

"I'll pay it forward…tell me, before anything Professor? How do you enjoy your coffee?" SHe said

A Box arrived with a small letter.

Keep Stable…- Liara.

You opened it and watched a small pulsing rock glow. "What are you doing here?"

This rock was Ragnorite. A Rare earth mineral found in space, it is a powerful energy source used in villain and hero bases, used in emergency power generators that could operate at peak efficiency for 30 years.

It was only discovered five years ago and was only used in operations following Hurricane Katrina after four years of study.

The Fact she was giving it to you so readily…well.

Now you had things to do now.

Sunshine's Rumor Mill Extravaganza! (AKA Rumor Mill 1)
Sunshine's Rumor Mill Extravaganza! (AKA Rumor Mill 1)

(Sunshine POV)

Sunshine looked at the computer and weighed all the options before them, it was a difficult choice to ask the man they were going to be taking from for this sort of power.

Information was valuable, perhaps more valuable then the energy of the most powerful supervillain on record.

But it had to be done…they needed the information to flow so that progress could be made in building something more powerful.

Power came at a price and Sunshine was willing to pay it.

------------------

Logging In…Welcome Agent Sunshine.

Sunshine: Nobody…I need to piggyback the network or my new boss.

Nobody: And you are breaking the one rule of working for me…why?

Sunshine: Long term gain…I really need to do this so I can stay on the payroll and keep things going.

Nobody: Send data packets of personal information on the Goons and specialist recruits and I'll forget the matter ever came up.

Sunshine:YES!!! Wait…why?

Nobody: Adaptor is acting up and being a cowboy and I want a good candidate pool just in case it gets to the point where action is needed.

Sunshine: Oh…yes sir, I'll get you them without issues…anything else sir?

Nobody: Has anyone been botheering you about your personal life?

Sunshine: No sir…they arn't bothering me about it.

Nobody: Good, I don't want my most promising agent bogged down by poor workplace manners.

Sunshine:I understand sir.

Nobody: Don't go too crazy kid, you're still green.Soon the thick skin will form and you'll be a natural at all of this.

Mysterious Disappearances Continue in Mexico:

For the Second Streight Year, the disappearances of tourists and citizens alike has forced Mexico to issue travel and curfew warnings for all individuals in half the country.

Though still without a true culprit the Mexico Super Investigation Team Lux Eternita, claims to have finally found sufficient evidence to finally make progress in the case.

In other News, The Cartel and Supervillain war continues to once again escalate into another bout of iolence,

Starting from the Battle of Tijuana in 1989 with the Sinaloa Cartel and the Destros Invicta Supervilalin group over territory and drug control, the Sin-Destros War as it is popularly called is the longest reigning Gang war in Mexico's history with over 30,000 dead in nearly 20 years of simmering conflict.

Enjoy.

Maybe Canon:Project Blue Book by Themarineguy
Project Blue Book
In a secluded, shrouded room, a small group gather to discuss their alien invasion contingency.

"May I ask all of this secrecy? I mean my company really loves the help on their latest game by the way. But surely there are better ways to handle the matter than video game rankings." States a man in his 30s, head of a major video game company.

"We both know just how valuable secrecy is. There is already factions sniffing around earth, with one seeming to already be doing something in Mexico. There may be suspicions about the games UI, but given the games promoted between Supers, and outside interest, suspicion shouldn't point towards the truth, Stratego." Responding to him, is someone whom is wearing clothing which hides their figure, someone whom if you look close enough, looks to possibly be in their 50s, and is from some sort of spy service.

"Ever since XCOM 2 Released, the same guy whom got one of the only three Skyrangers that exist. Yes I know the model had another name, but try telling the public that. Has commissioned me to try and make a flying base reminiscent of the Avenger from the freshly released game. At least the deal has provided me some good business Colt." Replies a rather haggard woman in her twenties, wearing a labcoat with the hallmarks of being a mad scientist.

"The base is built, complete with Smith's new Command and Control systems. In theory it should aid greatly in organizing the resistance groups that survive any opening strike. As long as I do my job and make sure the base and it's nature stay's hidden. Though after the first usage, we'd likely be unable to hide it or another such base again. Likely having to pivot to making the place tougher to break into than any other place on earth." States an old woman at 60 years old, with the bearing that distinguishes herself as a bureaucrat.

"As the one person whom actually seen the base, it is a remarkable foundation, even with the limitations you had to work under Cassandra. Especially the hangar meant to service the two Skyrangers. Those things are hangar queens compared even towards spec ops transports, and yet, you were able to fit everything needed to keep them battle-ready on said small base. Do any of you have contacts with someone whom could help with powering a VTOL aircraft big enough to be a base in and of itself? Possibly at NASA given that it may be easier to outright make a spaceship?" Smith compliments Cassandra earnestly, then begs for help.

"At this point, you should consider going straight to the governments and attach the design work to the efforts to colonize space. Because that was QUITE the ask. Speaking of, did he offer anything to help? Considering such a design is a major ask. A mobile airship with the speed and evasive capability to be a useful mobile base like the Avenger is unlike anything currently out there. The Skyranger was a great feat, but making something with the capabilities of the Avenger is a whole new scale to work at, with the demands still being pretty high." Colt replies, trying to give some advice.

A/N: No clue how much, if at all, it might fit in the world. But the base idea is somewhere on earth, there is a hidden base waiting to be activated, with two bleeding edge craft of which has only been seen under the hand of a Villain whom happens to be a big fan of the XCOM series, and a state of the art system designed to be a Next-gen C&C system, which due to secrecy was pulled from to make a real-time strategy game that in secret, also serves to figure out whom would be the best commanders should the base get activated. Kinda silly, but ain't unheard of in anime for something like that to exist.

Villian Conference '06
Villian Conference '06

Villain Conferences were the best and worse thing about the job, it was one half get-together, one half tech swap and another part social gathering to see how things could be made more and more efficient.

Of course getting in was a problem.

"I'm sorry Professor, but your not on the list of B Rank Villains, I'm gonna have to ask you to try one of the other entrances." A aide working the kiosk said as you groaned.

"This is what I get for thinking twenty years will get me a good standing." You complained. "Come on Sunshine lets see if we have luck with the C Rank Entrances…I'm gonna get rumors that I'm weird now."

Sunshine shrugged. "How so?"

"C-Ranks have always been weird…they always think they're going to be the next big Villain and have the silliest gimmicks." You said.

"They can't all be bad…besides the menu is good. I'm gonna grab one." Sunshine said.

Zheng smiled "They'll let us in the C Rank Entrance."

Damnit all…you'd have hoped that you'd avoid them for as long as possible.

Finally they accepted you into the C-Rank Villain Pass entrance.

At least you have access to the better food trucks at least.

"SUNSHINE Stop trying to get into the A Rank orderves, I know they are good, but you'll have to manage with the food of lesser villains." You chastised.

"But its Caviar, they are serving Caviar." She said holding the menu.

"I know, but we have to earn our way into it." You said. "I miss working with Blanc sometimes."

"How so?" Sunshine said as Zheng walked off to get food.

"He always let me and the rest of his Council walk in the A-Rank entrance." You said. "Even spent extra money on the Family Passes."

"Ohh, sounds pricy…welcome to how the other half lives Darwin," Sunshine said. "It's not all cracked up, but it's worth it."

"At least I can set my own hours and have good friends." You mused and took some of what she said to heart.

Oh you are going to finally start to meander over to the Raman cart, they might still have meat left over if your quick enough.

"As I Live and Breath, THE PROFESSOR himself wandering among the masses of Villainy." A faux-Southern accent shouted from across the hall as a large man with a gaudy tuxedo and a small entourage of similarly well-dressed men and women with food and little knick nacks.

"To what do we owe this grand anointed pleasure." He finished.

"Shut up King, I am here for the free food and the better company you are not a part of." You said sneering at him. "Don't you have a cake to ruin and fill with laxatives?"

Wedding King, the gaudy self-important wedding planner who somehow was one of the nation's most highly rated C Ranked villains. Most of the people that worked for him were married by him or at least got their start, but he took it to the point where it was interesting, but also unseemly.

Didn't matter how happy you helped make them King? They're still employees and have to be treated as such.

He treated them like projects… which was worse in many villains' opinions.

"Oh and here I think this man, Mr "I'm too professional for your lot," is still acting better than us despite holding a torch for a wife who left him, and he only married her because he felt bad for her." He said.

"It was an arrangement that we couldn't maintain, nothing more then that." You said, feeling anger slowly bubble to the surface between your cool facade.

"Still all business even when talking about something like your ex-wife." He said. "Can't even admit it on a personal level."

Hold it together: D100 => 73+40=113 (Sucess)

"King, if you kindly don't shut up about my personal life, I will make sure you lack the parts to enjoy yours…and we both know, even with your guards you are a complete wimp." You said before walking to the raman stand as Wedding King slumped a bit and everyone else, sans Sunshine started laughing at him.

--------------------------------

(Sunshine POV)

"What was that about?" You said as the mockery winded down and looked at Wedding King with a small pitiful look.

"I'm a wimp, I'm clever, not strong." He said, his accent gone and replaced by a french one. "If you'd like to have your romantic future read I'll need a minute."

You shrugged before motioning to your boss. "Sounds fun, but what was that about?"

"Oh his wife left him because of all the Villainy related crap finally getting to her, and well you know what they say about Supervillain marriages." He said. "They're either granite or sand."

You knew the feeling, that was why you wanted to hold off for as long as possible.

Well, that and one other reason…

You smiled. "Well I'd like to see if what I've read about your whole relationship thing is real…the guys online say you're really good at it."

He smiled. "Well, I have a gift for it, lets read your future, Miss "Freebird." You almost smiled.

"Is it really that obvious I sleep around?" You said.

"You make it too obvious at times." He said.

Sunshine's Future Romance (Wedding King Roll)
Rolled: d100 + 23 => 115 +15(Machmaker)=130

He widened his eyes. "You've got a hell of a love story ahead of you. Even if it won't last long."

"How so?" You said feeling curious.

"Let's just say…he's the right person to help you with all your problems when it comes to commitment and is understanding to your faults and strengths. The man you love,is, exactly who you always wanted to love. Yet as all things it will be brief, but real." He said before sitting on a chair.

"You okay?" You asked.

"I honestly thought your sort of romance only existed in books, but life surprises me even now." He said. "Be good to yourself, and to him."

Well that was something?

-------------------------------

(Professor POV)

"So its a good idea?" You asked.

"I mean come on, everyone likes a trail blazer for Eco-Tech." A Green Tech villain said.

"I can see the appeal, the problem is viability." You said.

"You can get it in bulk." He said.

You shrugged and finished the last of your meal, "I must depart."

"At least give us your hideout address!" He said.

Sunshine looked on cloud nine, she must have gotten the best news from that wiseass matchmaker.

"How was your fortune cookie?" You said.

"I'm gonna be good and wait properly, it'll happen, I've got so much to look forward to." She said. "You?"

You held a small blueprint up your sleeve. "Stole some Eco Tech, don't let them know, and don't look too surprised."

She smiled. "That normal?"

"Expected if you're not paranoid or in a higher rank." You said. "Let's get Zheng and go, he's got a load of nicknacks for his family.

Reward: C Rank Villain Met: Wedding King: A Supervillain gentleman thief and organizer who commits crime based on weddings…also a wedding planner in his day job.

Stole Research: Low Grade Eco-Genorator

Sunshine learns a bit about her future Soul mate…because sometimes people can just tell your gonna have a hell of a love story in the future.

AN: Not Much, but its a conference.

Fair Play and Villainy
Fair Play and Villainy

Finally…it was complete…At last.

Hidden and secure...at last.

And you'd consider it one of the finest works you've ever made, a mixture of an underground lair, a command center and a reinforced fortress of the classic late Cold War design.

It looked basic but you knew that a sturdy design was better than an overdesigned hellscape.

It also made finding rooms easier. But you wouldn't let them know that, you were getting older, and making things easier for you was a godsend.

That was part of the reason why you wanted to keep it simple...because it will also be easier to expand, and modify.

Ah the Armory, it'll never really change, only continue to be filled with fancier or outright weirder new weapons, from whatever can be cooked up.

The Control Center, oh boy will that give you reach, once the last of the computers are put in.

Ah the dungeon one of the newest and oldest designs in villain history trying to make it comfortable and uncomfortable at the same time is the key to be seen as a good villain for instance…

They sleep on the floor but they get a blanket and a pillow they get fed of course but it's gruel and when they get taken to a torture chamber they get to pick how they'll be tortured from standard torture, Tickle torture and annoying torture.

Its psychologically soothing before the plunge as it were, to choose how bad its going to go...

Of course, they could abstain and choose isolation, options beget more options as it were.

Finally the Laboratory, you chose a bog standard design, clean rooms, medical examination room, and isolation wards, all very powerful but together give a professional ability... you are certain the new guy will like it?
Hopefully…

The lab is arguably the most important and dangerous area for Villain and Heroes keeping it stock with enough materials, chemicals, radioactive isotopes, test animals, latest equipment and coffee is essential in keeping it rolling in discovers and the latest advancements for a multiple areas of scientific research on a good day.

But knowing your staff, they'll run out in a week and demand more.

You sighed...Of course, knowing this hire it may not be enough...nothing was enough for a genius with a god complex.

Then we have the meeting hall which is next to the break room which is handy for the goons for the meeting hall it's of a decent size and can house a hundred goons that can listen to you or one of our top people give orders at front is a stage with a podium from where you can see and look down goons, its the psychological thing to do.

Most of the goons have generic appearances, within their uniforms, and while this made it easy for them to blend it was a nightmare to remember their names which is why there were three goons that were memorable enough to remember their names.

Hell, you could hear them complaining now.

"So brat and weak moustache do you know why we were called here ?" A goon by the name of Kerry Kilpatrick said.

"First off you know my name so say it leprechaun and second no I don't do you know why we're here elf?" Ty Lee said.

A third voice cut her off. " No I don't know why we're here drunk and stretchy but the boss might want to say some things we may not like." The Goon named Alejandro Woods finished.

You sighed, why do they get the first row of the work meetings?

So lets get on with it…

"I am disappointed in all of you, because you are the most competent group of individuals I have ever met and hired, and with that comes trust and benefits." You said as you frowned and looked at them like a disappointed parent.

And given many of them came from unstable homes and went professional to get a life, you knew that it would hurt them to use that tone.

"I have in all honesty built this lair with money I had saved over the course of five years to go independent, I assume you all understand the amount of effort that it takes. Between logistics…between paperwork, between basic sense to create!" You continued. "I have done a great deal of work…now you must repay that give and take."

The mumbling started, they really thought working for you was an easy paycheck now wasn't it?

"Now you must finally shut up and realize that my Professionalism does not prevent me from instilling discipline. Quite the opposite actually. For five minutes you will suffer agonizing pain and feel as if all your life had been wasted, once it is over, and you pick yourself back up…you will clean every inch of this base and give the dues necessary for those living here…AC and Heat are not cheap." You finished and flipped a button causing a loud noise and causing them all to fall to the ground in agony.

"Disgrceful…" You said, "I hate the screams."

Yet you had a new hire to get to…

------------------------------------

Fiona Eastmont had an impressive resume even by your standards, Double Doctrine in Bio-Engineering and Astronomy, with a minor in engineering you believe, you could be wrong but she had gone Villain due to breaking several ethics board violations and causing a issue with…"Liberal Human Exparamentations"

Case and point, her first words to you, were concerning to say the least.

"You are all fascinating specimens, can we have coffee together?" She said smiling as you felt unease.

She was clearly a psychopath, not a sociopath, as she could function in society…but the sheer weight of how she unnerved you was…considerable.

"Yes, though by contrast, don't screw with the goons or their families and try to ransom the people you kidnap first before anything." You said trying to deal with the unnerving smile she had.

"I need more subjects eventually…or I'll just start picking and choosing at random." She said. "Science waits for no one."

Well...Darwin, you got exactly what you paid for...now live with it.

"We will come to an agreement later…but understand, I have systems and works in place. To prevent issues. You won't be an issue for me will you?" You said lowering your tone to make a point.

"No sir…if anything, we can help each other achieve great and terrible things together." She said.

She was reminding you of your first girlfriend in college all those years ago…a crazed look in her eyes that showed she would never be defeated by sanity or lack of resources.

Oh dear, first the goons now the Mad Scientist…this was going to get interesting now.

Reward: Goon Wages are now lowered to a quarter of expenditures for two turns. The Hideout is Complete, Expenditures will be updated.

The Power of the SUN Eternal
The Power of the SUN Eternal

(Crystal Karamel POV)

The Professor was going to die…It was written that he would the moment that HUMILIATION was done to you.

A Promising political career ruined by scandal, how cliche, and you hated cliches.

YOU WANTED THAT INSUFFERABLE SHIT DEAD!

YOU WOULD TEAR EVERYTHING DOWN TO MAKE HIM FEEL THE DESPAIR OF YOUR WRATH!

THE VILLAINS WOULD PAY THEY WOULD ALL PAY!

PAY PAY PAY!!!

"Miss Karamel, I'm sorry for interrupting but a friend is calling. Should I have him leave a message?" Your assistant said.

"NO! Tell him to not call for a few hours because I'm busy." You said crushing a coffee mug, again.

Lost control again.

No matter where you were going you didn't need control…

-------------------------------

(The Professor POV)

"And we finally covered all your insurance premiums." You finished and put your signature on the line.

"Ladies and gentlemen! We have an insurance package and are ready for full-scale operations." You said as the entire base cheered.

Finally, you could…get to doing real villainy, like bank robbery and megalomania projects.

Here you were plotting for the future at last…finally, this was what you sought.

*KLAXON* "ALERT ALERT! Class S Intruder. Repeat Class S Intruder!"

A Class S?! A CLASS S! You didn't piss off anyone important! You were a professional it was strictly business.

Probably a Drill…you hoped that the Goons would manage.

The Concrete cracked around you and you shuddered. "Oh…Oh no…"

Grabbing your handgun (what a tiny thing.) you marched off to organize a response.

You hoped the others would be okay?

----------------------------------------------------

(Sunshine POV)

"Did I piss you off somehow?" You snarked while dodging the beam of red heat. "I have that effect on people?"

"Get out of the way puppet! You're not the one I'm after! Besides, no one can actually survive what I can give anyway!" She said.

"In the sack or in the field honey, I've horror stories about both!" You said.

"YOU Don't get to talk or make jokes about my non existent personal life!" She said smashing a pillar.

"You mean your nonexistent sex life, it was a prostatute, lady…we all know." You snarked again.

"And yet they still saw fit to ruin me for that… hypocrites all of them!" She said.

"Breaking both of her legs and dislocating her hip while having fun…and then bribing people to keep quiet about it…its a bad look." You said. "Even if you didn't mean to!"

"YOU WILL NEVER GET TO JUDGE ME!" She shouted.

"Really because I just did." You said.

"I'll kill you last, just to make you suffer." She said.
---------------------------------------------------------------

(Dr Eastmont POV)

"You think we can harvest some DNA from her?" You asked looking at a goon that was guarding you.

"No..I think that is a bad idea." Kerry said.

"Shame, I'd be willing to sacrifice as many of you as possible to get one sample of her DNA…" You said.

"Good thing you arn't in charge." He said.

"Well, that is an annoyance." You said. "But one I can live with."

-------------------------------

(Felix POV)

"He ain't paying us enough for this shit Anders." You said handing her a glass and motioned to a bottle you were holding.

"I know, who pisses of a S Rank Super?" Anders said.

"Uh, Solaris is an A+ rank Super." You said. " I know dosn't matter but it matters to me."

"If we survive this, I'm taking your stash of Booze." Anders said.

------------------------------------

(The Professor POV)

You saw the carnage in front of you and you felt terror and vindication, what was a pistol going to do to her?

Now you know why Northern Minnesota was so Empty.

"YOU SON OF A BITCH!" She said hammering her way into your base and crashing through the concrete.

"YOU RUINED MY LIFE!" She shouted while holding you by the collar.

Oh, dear, you didn't expect this at all.

But then again? Who would have thought Solaris was living up here, in the Cold North of Minnesota?

From the Sun to Earth: D100 => 44 (Failure-)
???? Reroll: D100 => 90 (Sucess)

So this was it...this was how you, Darwin Havelock were going to die? Having your body and face caved in by an insufferable Hero who can't even keep her personal affairs hidden in her secret identity.

Well it always was going to be random Chance that would do you in.

Fuck it all, I never did catch that last Nazi...

With glowing red eyes, Solaris beamed into your skull but did not fire the rays of heat as you anticipated. No, instead she looked up as if to look disappointed.

"I am going to enjoy watching you scream in agony." She said.

"If that's all it took for you to get hard, maybe find another partner that can actually take it." You mocked. "Because using an intermediary to watch while you pleasure yourself is a bit much don't you think?"

"RAHH! I HATE!-" She shouted.

Well, at least you'll die with a spiteful legend.

"Sorry I'm late, I had to help save a plane from crashlanding." A chipper voice said from the darkness.

Solaris's eyes widened in shock, fear and other emotions that you couldn't pin down at this second.

"What is the meaning of this?" A stern yet comforting voice said as you finally relaxed your guard in awe.

Indestructible was here.

"Oh shit." You whispered as the man who everyone knew landed on the floor and stared at Crystal.

"Crystal...what is this about?" He asked still stern but in a comforting sort of way, like a glass of warm milk.

"He ruined my life Tomaš!" She shouted. 'And I'm making him pay!"

"Considering how badly you messed up internet safety guidelines and used PUBLIC funds for your own benefit! I taught you better than that." He said as he approached her. "Now let him go."

Crystal let you go as she groaned in pain, "I'm upset alright?! I had a good thing going, I finally paid off my house and became responsible just like you wanted...But I still can't be happy with myself. I crippiled one of my friends...and my secretary in an unrelated incident."

He nodded. "The power inconsistency issue you've been having?"

"Are getting worse and worse..and I can't stop it...at all, its why I retired to get control, now its gone." She said. "So I'm taking it out on these self-entitled villains because they deserve it."

"And do you even know why he exposed you in the first place?" He asked as if the answer was obvious.

"Because he's an entitled dick who wants to play with his concrete legos?" She said

Indestructible frowned and looked at you.

"Hideout Code...Number 12, Don't reveal the location for at least 1 year." You said. "Oh lord, that hurts."

He then crossed his arms in disappointment. "Crystal...listen to me, Villainy while distasteful and prone to violence, is not evil...it is a job and one that provides and regulates itself to keep people from getting hurt, too badly."

"Oh boo hoo, think about the villains, you know the entire concept and system is to make sure these parasites keep the other parasites of the world happy." She said her eyes still glowing with heat energy, as if the lack of self-control was evident in her powers itself.

"Calm down Crystal. Think this through. What will happen if you go through with this?" He said sternly.

"I'll feel better." She said.

He rolled his eyes. "No you'll become the very thing you hate, and by the Sun, I will hunt you to the end of the universe. I'll pass every time ,you know me."

She sighed. "Fine, this asshole stays, now...Help me with my problem or I swear I will make it your problem."

"Hmm, are you projecting your inability to ask for help on me?" he sounded almost amused. "You have my number you know where I live and work, all you had to do...was ask for help. Instead, you were arrogant enough to think you can solve your own problems on your own...do you know how foolish that makes you look? You are almost thirty, not twenty." He said calmly.

"Shut up." She said.

"We're going to have my friends look at you and help." He said.

"I hate you so much right now...I will literally fly to the moon to get away from you." She said.

"Darwin, my friend can you get a kettle on for later, I'm going to check in with you all in a few hours, she needs to talk this out." He said.

Sunshine got up from the floor as she felt the moment clear, "Hey Tom, thanks for saving our butts."

"No problem, I'm just happy you were all able to hold out while I was busy." He said.

"Now." He handed over a card to Sunshine who in turn passed it over to you. "This should be enough to pay for the damages."

"This is a card with an alien language on it?" You said.

"It's my card, should help you with whatever you need, young lady...is it your DNA decaying or something else. You had more then just burn out to cause you to retire." He said.

He then grabbed her by the arm and flew her towards the exit as you and your goons sighed.

"Can we have a Day off tomorrow?" Ty Lee asked.

"No. We have to clean up the place, then you can have the rest of the day off." You said.

Reward: Your base has survived an assault from Solaris. -5 to all Stewardship Rolls next turn.
