Let's Play Every Final Fantasy Game In Order Of Release [Now Finished: Final Fantasy Tactics]

I'm always mildly impressed that there is "the Final Fantasy series", and there is also "the Final Fantasy VII series", and there is a meaningful difference between the two.

Hate to break it to you, but Rogue One was actually, like, a passable-to-good movie. Dirge of Cerberus was absolute trash nonsense garbage.

how dare YOU!

Rogue One was pretty good! I liked it a lot!

i never played DoC but my friend when it came out liked it a lot so i assumed it was good.

If I had to compare Dirge of Cerberus to a Star Wars sequel, I'd compare it to the Legends EU novel Crystal Star.

Well, OBVIOUSLY I understand the reference 100% and think it is an insightful and appropriate comparison...

But could you elaborate for the people around here who don't but are too embarrassed to admit it?

Infamously the worst EU novel. Written by a writer who mostly did Star Trek books, with a broad plot far better suited to Star Trek's milleu that clashed horribly with the cast and setting of Star Wars, which parallels DoC's attempt to squeeze a shooter out of a JRPG setting nicely in terms of creators clearly being out of their comfort zone and the product suffering as a result

Our lord and savior Waru shan't tolerate such heresy.

I remember the novel being kinda Lovecraftian, almost? It was definitely a tonal whiplash.
