Keyblader Apprentice Quest (Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep)

[x] Return to Midnight Town. If things are going badly, something is sure to be going down there.

As tempted as I am to go with Terra, the only reasons I can come up with are due out-of-context knowledge and shipping (which I try to minimize when voting).

[x] Stick with Terra, He's a bit of a dope and could use your help.

I prefer Midnight town on second glance. And we're kind of spec'd to go there with all our Anti-Darkness damage reducers. All two of them. Which is a lot more than most have.

Because derailing cannon should be among our highest priories. Actually this makes me wonder, if Xehanort fails to survive BBS, what happens to the timeline? Considering he influenced his past from the future, would a radical timeline shift occur? Or does time travel in KH actually involve parallel universes to prevent this from happening? Would his post time travel amnesia prevent that from being a concern?

Xehanort is a cockroach. We're not killing him in the BBS arc, so it won't be a problem.

Go with Terra
[x] Go with Terra

"Hey Terra" You smile as you step onto his hover… bike… thing. You may have unlocked your armor, but the Lanes Between have been sealed for so long you never had any need to learn to create a Key-Bike, or whatever it is those things are called. "Thanks for letting me hitch a ride with you."

"It's not a problem." Both of you are in your armor so you can't feel anything… but you must admit it's nice being so close to him - not that you'd say it out loud. "You've got a friend to look out for in the worlds, and if I'm honest with myself it'll be nice to have some new company for a change."

New company? Did something happen with Aqua or Ven? You hope not, those three always seemed to be really close to each other.

"Ok." You reply as you new line of thought distracts me. "Anyway I'm good whenever you are."

XXXX

"Master Xehanort!" You had only just started your journey in the Lanes when Terra suddenly shouted. He immediately changed course for another world.

"Uuuuh Terra?" You ask as you hold into your friend tightly." What was that?"

"Master Xehanort just contacted me. I think he knows something about all this!"

Well, you can't say you're surprised that Master Creepy was in the know. The guy always seemed to know more than he was telling anyone in the rare times you had been in the same room as him.

XXXX

The two of you land fairly close to Master Xehanort, the old man staring off into the distance as he waits for the two of you to land.

For his part, Terra wastes no time in addressing the third Keyblade master. "I've been to other worlds. I know what you've done."

You blink. "What?"

"I've been sealing away the hearts of seven pure hearts of light, to protect them from the horrible darkness I've unleashed upon the World." Xehanort clarifies, that first part was likely for you own sake.

"Oh, and it's good to see you're doing well for yourself Scena."

"Yeah." You wave at him awkwardly. Honestly you don't really know what you should be saying in this situation, a shortcoming not helped by Master Xehanort's inherently creepy nature. " It's good to see you're, umm… still alive after all this?"

"It's very kind of you to be concerned, " Xehanort says, turning towards the two of you. "But even if I'm not quite in my prime, I am far from helpless. Over the years we Keyblade Masters tend to pick up our fair share of tricks, as Yen Sid has no doubt taught you many times over."

You agree that Master Yen Sid really does have a lot of tricks up his sleeve; it must come with being a wizard.
With that all said and done, Master Xehanort goes on to explain how the one behind all this is someone named Vanitas, who is basically the darkness in Ventus's heart given life and the power to act on its own, as well as his own part in Vanitas's creation. What he did was horrible, but he does seem to have deeply regret what he did, still that's a big thing to just overlook. To strip a part of someones heart off as the less horrific option? He should have been more careful when training someone with that much uncontrolled darkness in them! Darkness is one of the most threatening powers in existence, even when it's not creating horrific monsters! It's pretty clear that the old master has a lot to answer for.
Still, that can wait until this… evil clone issue is dealt with.

A part of you wonders if you should ask a question of your own.

A part of you wonders if you should ask a question of your own:
[x] "Have you told the other Masters?"
[x] "Have you considered making things up to Ventus?"
[x] "Have… any of these creatures shown up at my old home?"
[x]"Master, if I may ask, what do you intend to do from this point on?"

[x] "Have… any of these creatures shown up at my old home?"
I want to give at least a attempt to see if he knows about our town considering it' heavy dark focus.
