Keyblader Apprentice Quest (Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep)

[x] Start up a song to give Terra an extra boost.
-[X] Song of Transportation, if Terra can teleport he can overcome Xehanort without having to worry about dodging.

We should be able to I remember teleport being a targeting spell that we improved the range of and us grabbing a upgrade that made it castable in combat.
It's an instant effect with a very short cast. It's primary use would be as an immediate GTFO option, not as a rapid fire blink teleport. Song of storms however, lasts for 10 minutes.

Pretty much.

The continues version of Song of Transportation is the one you would have wanted to have taken if you'd wanted teleport spamming since it would have let you do so at will.

Final Epilogue
OOC: The final update and epilogue... man, I can't believe this is finished.

[x] A Stormy Final Battle

First things first - you need to get your friend some fire support, and the best way to do that is the Song of Storms!

Thankfully, you are a far enough away in the sky that Xehanort doesn't actually notice you casting the spell. The fight against Terra must be taking up all of his attention.

The second the storm clouds reach sufficient density, you hit the old master head on with a lightning bolt.

It doesn't do all that much damage - Keyblade Masters are tough, even old ones like Xehanort - but it does give Terra the opportunity to slam the hilt of his Keyblade into the Master's gut, sending him flying backwards.

Ha! That'll teach him to attack your friends! Master of an ancient and powerful weapon or not, you won't let anyone hurt those close to you without paying for it!

Sadly, it doesn't take the old man very long to recover from the hit.

And now his attention is on you!

Ack! Dodge!

You veer out of the way of a trio of dark magic spheres, returning fire with a trio of thunderbolts. This time, Xehanort is able to dodge, barely avoiding a punishing blow from Terra in return.

This time he doesn't bother diverting his attention to deal with you, instead swinging his keyblade at Terra in an attempt to rid himself of the bigger threat. He must of realized that you aren't going to get close to him in your current state.

However Terra is more than ready and lands a direct hit on the Seeker of Darkness, causing a sonic boom as the force of the hit sends the dark Keyblade Master into a nearby mountain.

Which is followed with three more bolts of lightning courtesy of yourself.

Ehehehehehehehe!

Then the entire mountain seems to shake and begins to lift itself into the air.

No! He couldn't!

The mountain shoots into the sky, now on a direct collision course with yourself and Terra!

Oh boy!

"Scena!" Terra calls to you from the ground. "Pick me up and throw me at the mountain!"

Well ok…. That's an odd request.

Still, you don't think Terra would steer you wrong. Moving with lightning speed, you descend and scoop Terra off the ground, quickly ascending once again.

Terra is heavy and you don't actually have much physical strength beyond what you've got in your wings, but that's why you're going as fast as you can! If you don't have the strength in your arms to get the job done, you'll just have to let momentum do the work for you!

Upon reaching your top speed you throw Terra as hard as you can, sending him flying towards the approaching mass of rock.

When he gets close enough Terra swings his sword.

When he gets close enough, Terra swings his sword-

-And the mountain shatters.

But Terra doesn't stop there. Channeling power through himself, he uses his natural affinity for earth manipulation to control each and every piece of the former mountain and sends them hurtling towards Xehanort in a barrage of dangerous rock.

The old master blocks it was a massive wall of darkness, but his old age is finally showing. He has to drop the barrier before the barrage ends, leaving him with his Keyblade skills alone. It isn't enough, and the assault brings him to his knees, exhausted.

Ha! That'll teach him to…

Wait, something feels wrong.

It's this strange feeling, is that his heart leaving his body?

… Oh no it's heading for Terra!

Putting all your effort into your wings, you race to intercept the strange darkness filled heart before it can impact your friend.

You can't let it hit him. You don't know why, but you know you can't allow it to happen.

The heart is so close to Terra, but you manage to get in it's way.

And then… everything grows back.

Epilogue

You wake up a bed in the Mysterious Tower. Terra is sitting right next to you, staring out the window into the endless stars. It doesn't seem like he's noticed you waking up yet.

"So, you big goofball." You say, catching Terra's attention. "Did we win?"

"I guess you could say that." Terra says as looks at you, concern clear in his eyes. "No one was killed anyway… at least on our side."

"Then why don't you look like it?" You ask, raising an eyebrow. "I mean, we can finally put all of this behind us."

"Well it's...," Terra looks to the side as if he wants to tell you something but doesn't know if he should.

"Terra, spit it out." You say flatly. You've had enough drama to last a lifetime. "I think a lack of communication in our group has done more than enough damage as it is."

"Scena," Terra looks away as if he's about to tell you something absolutely horrific. "You have Xehanort's heart within you."

Well… that isn't good.

"Is" You look down at your chest as worry grows in it. "Is he going to take over my body or something?"

"No." Terra expression is conflicted. "According to Master Yen Sid, your nature as a fairy combined with your own natural resistance to darkness means he basically can't do anything to you. He's stuck in there helpless unless you die or someone else removes his heart. It's just... If I'd been more prepared, you wouldn't have had to block that last attack. If you hadn't been there I'd…" He trails off.

"Well." This is a lot to process, but after this ordeal you've decided on one thing. "I don't know how to feel about all of this complicated nonsense, but I don't know what my heart is telling me right now?"

"What?" Terra looks at you in confusion. "What is it telling you?"

You grab his arm and move your mouth up to his ear.

"It's telling me." You whisper. "That I think your cute~"

Awww now he's blushing. That's an expression you'd never thought you'd see from him, and it's adorable!

XXXX

Things naturally cool down after the incident with Xehanort. Apparently , while Vanitas had been slain, Xehanort's armor and that guy with the weird crossbows managed to escape from the fighting and are now on the loose. That'll be a problem for sure, but the Keyblade armor is of limited use and as eyepatch man doesn't have a Keyblade himself, the damage he can do is limited.

Mickey returned to his kingdom now that his training is complete. Occasionally one of you visits the other, but you don't see each other nearly as much as you used to.

Aqua and Ven have been investigating a world called Mount Olympus, apparently some strong darkness was detected there recently, but it's apparently dormant or something and it doesn't require all three available Keyblade Masters to deal with it. Also apparently a boy Aqua likes lives there…. How scandalous!

Ehehehehehe!

Terra has for the most part been acting as an intermediate between the Mysterious Tower and the Land of Departure. You don't mind that because it lets you see him more… also the two of you have started dating. He's a little awkward but you like being around him… maybe soon enough your relationship will upgrade to… handholding! Mwhahahahahahaha!

As for yourself… well, there isn't much to say. You've mostly just remained in the Mysterious Tower and helped maintain the place. Master will send you on a mission or you will return to Midnight Town occasionally, but for the most part you spend your time working in the tower, training, or even perfecting your songs.

It's a peaceful life… but it's one that suits you.

You've got to appreciate relative peace while it lasts, after all.

Could have gone better. But we did good here. The Wayfinder trio is fine, Eraquis is alive, and Xehanort's stuck. All in all, I'm calling that a win.

Personally, I think this all feels a bit anti-climactic. Maybe it's just because of how late we were to the battle, I don't know, but it all felt pretty rushed.

That said, is there any chance of a sequel? After all, Maleficent, Braig and No Heart are still on the loose, and Maleficent is scheduled to be setting the Heartless loose on the Worlds in a year of in-universe time. Then again, that was only after Apprenticenort's research, so who knows if that'll still happen.

Possibly sometime after KH3 comes out, I'm a bit burned out at the moment.
