Yeah, the Jedi and everyone else is going to have to start dealing with the fact that Palpatine literally owns the largest galactic banks. Not "has policy influence on" owns, but "Can take out a fifty trillion credit loan with repayment starting in fifty years and 0% interest and what the fuck are they even going to try to do to him?" owns. As long as he doesn't give a shit about what it'll do to the economy, he has literally infinite money. And does Palpatine look like someone who really worries about balancing the budget?

And yeah, sociopathy isn't actually smart. Zekka wanted to hurt her, and hurt Han, and saw an opportunity to enjoy the suffering of others.

I more or less wonder how he managed to get his hands on so much cortosis, money or no money. In this age the stuff is about as rare as an upstanding Hutt or a stormtrooper that manages to land a hit on Luke Skywalker.

[X] The ship carrying the poison, the plague, was a way's off. After getting Han onto Shrike's ship--apparently they could use the best gunner they had--Nima could simply… go ahead of them. She was a Rider, she could leap great distances, and she was the only one who could get onto the ship and stop the pilot. She had lightsabers, she'd killed before and she could do it again, if only it could stop this madness!

[X] No. No. She can't do this. She was falling apart at the seams. Worse, she was dissolving, so that she couldn't see the seams. She should get Han Solo seen off, and then hole off on the ship. She could lock the door to her room, and just… and just make sure she was alright and trust Han and the others to do the rest.

Was fairly surprised that the option I had looked at and thought "oh look, the trap option, cool" won. Deeeeep concern for Nima in this chapter. Either way, this definitely feels like the most sane, we are definitely beyond limits here and I will always support not tripling down after you have lost most of your bank achieving one of your goals. She did it, and it is time to go.

Bleh, the first option sounds too much like the angry despair ending to the story she was taught. I'm torn on the last two options, anyone willing to sway me to one or the other?

[X] Master Bell was in danger. She was just one sentient, but she could save him. She had to find him, but even if all she did was distract everyone with another Jedi to chase after, it'd be better than nothing. She couldn't let him die. Not now. Not after all of this. She could do something about it. She could do it. She could!

Too much, need a timeout

She needed to murder Zekka Thyne.

Nothing improves the week you've been having more than murdering someone you really don't like, eh Nima?

Parallels have been made to Anakin before, but this update makes it all too clear. Like if the war allows it, Nima should probably schedule her own appointment with a Mind-Healer.

Also Cortosis and Sonic Weaponry, Zekka had all kinds of fun toys. Han came in clutch, Nima straight up would have died.

Liked the Wandering One story, I feel like it's an actual character from Legends but I can't quite put my finger on who. (Though my knowledge of anything Star Wars before the events of TPM is spotty at best, so don't worry about it being vague in any way)

Probably not the best option all things considered, but she's there and it kinda fits Nima's mindset at the moment. I'm not sure Nima'd be able to help Bell considering the shape she's in.

Though Nima more than likely adding another kill to her belt is probably not going to do wonders for her mental state either, but it's honestly a pretty bad situation all around.

Really great update!

I'm still disappointed that the 'storm of emotions' bit won. But since its already done, lets let the storm settle instead of weaponizing it immediately. Nima is just in such a bad place right now physically, enotionally, and after killing and maiming peeps, also mentally.

Anyone have any good ideas what to call a Jedi Rider mix? Jedi Rider doesnt work since it doesnt fit the mentality of either side, so maybe a new name would be better?

This or going to the ship, mainly because I think Nima needs to get a hug from Jedi Dad when this is all over.

I don't want her to go for another kill right now, also don't want her to just shut down either.

I mean, Nima is willing to kill to stop the ship, not necessarily having to.
She stopped the pilot of the previous ship non-lethally just fine.

Also. Lol, she does need to have a lesson on how to shoot, doesn't she? She doesn't even know how to switch the blaster to stun, always asking her enemies to do it for her. I'm not offering to add yet another curriculum to Nima's already stacked schedule, but a crash course from a clone soldier would be nice.

Another crash course, that is, I distinctly remember her attending one during the Jedi Temple arc. Er.

I wouldn't be surprised if blasters actually did often have very different and confusing control setups. Things can get a bit confusing on IRL firearms, and that's generally just a century or two of stuff from a single planet with a single relevant species, let alone several millennia of designs from an entire galaxy designed for a plethora of species.

So what you're saying is that the Republic cannot even enforce gun safety standards.

Truly, it was doomed from the start. Palpatine was just there to give it a push. :V

( I mean, point, but I cannot help but feel there should be some commonalities. )

Swayed. She could avoid god knows how many deaths.

She vaguely knows how to use a blaster, but high-stress environments actually fuck people up a lot and lead to them making a lot of simple mistakes and misjudgements.

Yeah, but she doesn't make the same mistakes with lightsaber activation switches, for example.
I don't push for complete expertise with the blaster or the same sense of familiarity she has with her melee weapons, just the exact amount of training that won't result in her suddenly forgetting how to switch from stun to kill and back. It's all about spending some time drilling necessary reflexes.
