I am going for this because I suggested 2 alternatives in the previous vote and it was revealed later that they were fundamentally flawed because of information only revealed later.
I would suggest a section to include in the vote where you add in the thoughts of Jaina and other hero/expert characters on the various options available to them. You can modulate the amount of data based on how busy each party is how much they know, and personal bias (e.g. "Arthus: Is fighting elsewhere and cannot give advice on this matter" or "Jaina: They are just savage trolls, how hard can killing them be?"). Basic stuff that they know should be mentioned though like a rough estimate of the probability of the villages dieing if we send them away without escort which I would assume to be fairly safe in the middle of the human kingdom.
As anther suggestion to prevent railroading you can try playing the unreliable narrator when other propose plans like I did. For example the plan that I had where we leave a few footmen at the village to train them up over time while we continue on could get responses like "Jaina: I don't think this would work" or "Arthus: we really do not have footmen to spare at the moment".
Similarly my question as to the possibility of us being flanked to kill the villages could get "Arthus: The villages should be able to get to a place of relative safety during battle" and "Jaina: It is still a better plan than the alternatives in my option."
But work is calling, I will try to keep an eye on the conversion but my ability to respond will be limited.

ya i will grant you that sorry about the last vote dude, your vote was not wrong nor was i trying to convince you not to take them (except for the things you explicitly could not do) i was just giving you a few warnings mostly.
In any case i will let you know now what you would have gotten with the other choices...
Letting the villagers go
Arthas would have lost 1.5 moral points and Jaina would have lost 1 too putting you both closer to becoming evil. Then the villagers would have probably died (at least some of them would) Any survivors would go on blaming you saying you left them to die which would cause a drop in how much a lot of factions like you. Finally you would have taken a relationship hit with Arthas too. this option was only around so you guys could still choose to go evil if you wanted.
Training them in the town
would have given you a handful of recruit footmen, +.5 moral for Arthas and Jaina. Villagers would have survived and spread the word of your actions giving you a relations boost with all factions that know of you. Villagers would have given you a stat boosting Item. (a fairly weak one though.) but you would have lost time and an enemy hero would be waiting for you at the end of this possibly wiping out most of your army.

In any case he only hates her in heroes of the storm because she is the leader of the forsaken lol, and therefore a former member of the scourge who helped kill so many of his people
also he turned evil as well by that point being a servant of the burning legion
