That reminds me, isn't Loum kind of superficially similar to the battle of Endor?

I mean, Evil Empire leaks plans about a superweapon (Death Star II/Colony Drop) so they can lure the good guy's fleet into a massive trap.

The main difference being that Zeon was never intending to actually pull a second Colony and was actually successful in destroying the Federation's fleet.

The Zaku II is destroyed. As the formation tries to close in, a trio of Zaku IIs emerges from inside the vessel and tries to engage at close range, Range 2. The formation is at Range 5 from the Fuji, Spiffy, Kensai and the enemy fighters.

Use the other set of missiles, I suppose.

Gotten up a post finally to the best of my ability, will correct any errors when I am in a less sleep deprived state.

NATO brevity codes are:

Fox One: Semi-active homing radar guided missile. Think Sparrow.
Fox Two: Heatseeker. Think Sidewinder.
Fox Three: Active radar homing. Think AMRAAM.

Or in Ace Combat terms, SAA, MSSL, and XMAA respectively. :p

Anyway, I'm going to fire off an AIM-77D at one of the Zakus.

I guess that's okay by our standards.

So far we've got a bunch of +3s and a single +5, so if the enemy has worse luck than ours there's a chance that our alpha strike might just tilt the balance in our group's favor.

So I'm waiting on new actions, but I think I need to redo the damage and weapons a bit here. The hard boots with the AS rifle are overpowering normal combat and kills are a bit skewed. Armor is going to need tweaking too. After roll these attacks, I might retool the setting right now, or try to finish the encounter. What would people like? @Kensai @Louis Dabout @tankdrop24
 
If the encounter isn't going to last too long more, why not wait till we hit the main story? This is essentially preamble, right? There's a long way more to go. Don't think it'll spoil anything if we get another turn or two of being a bit badass. And I'm saying this as the person who's getting no benefit from those rules....
