Imperial Ambitions (OOC Thread)

another friendly reminder: when posting onto the IC thread, please put your photos into spoilers, and try to hotlink your videos into the text.

Thanks.
SV automatically resizes the images to fit the width if they overshoot.
Also putting them into spoiler tags doesn't help one to save bandwidth anyways.
I can make my first pic smaller, I remember seeing a smaller version somewhere but putting them into spoiler tags here defeats the purpose.

It's not about saving bandwidth. It just makes it neater to read.

It isn't? First off, a youtube mini player doesn't eat up much space.
Second, if you put pictures into spoiler tags then they don't serve as decoration.
It may be different if you just putting up pictures as a sorts of footnote. Also i fixed the first pic because that was indeed big.

So, [befriending] continues, albeit slowly. POV should return to Rhett next snippet.

They're all distractions from what I find really matters -- the writing. And personally? I find that unless I'm exceptionally lazy, I can describe what is happening without resorting to images. To me, using images is a crutch, and is really distracting from the reading.

*sigh*

Point is, I prefer text with hotlinks to images and videos instead of seeing them, because they are really distracting.

Everyone knows about the Ghost Fleet and what the surrounding area looks like, but they don't know where that area actually is.
Um, what?
Alpha Quadrant:

Sparkling Nebula
A large nebula encompassing many light years. A beautiful mosaic of gasses from a star that went supernova, it is home to about ten star systems, all of which are primarily inhabited by gas giants. A rich source of natural gasses for any group with the technology to harvest it. Also home to raiders, who have set up shop in some of the gas giants, using the hydrogen to fuel their primitive fusion reactors. They come from all over, and so they are not uniform in appearance or design. They possess FTL drives that propel them, Warp-style. A wormhole allows them easy access to the Chain of Diamonds.
Ghost Fleet-The Pirate Fleet of Legend, they once pillaged across the galaxy. Now they drift, hidden, the dream of every pirate and slaver in the Sparkling Nebula. The Ghost Fleet consists of six 2km Dreadnoughts, filled with untold material wealth. The technology in the ships has long since degraded to nothing more than scrap, unable to be researched or repaired. The Ghost Fleet is hidden in a dangerous asteroid field filled with magnetic asteroids filled with volatile materials that detonate upon being disturbed, a natural minefield. There is only one way through the minefield. The map is rumored to have been scattered among the various pirate factions.
This is what the plot outline was like.
My next action would be to explore this Sparkling Nebula.

We burn them. But only because they're a threat to other civilizations. Because Mechions are immune to pretty much all diseases.
This particular one is really virulent, as in 'they sealed the ship airtight' virulent. So, you might want to make sure that it isn't released when you try to burn it, otherwise @Icywinter could be killed off of she is in the same 2AU as this Biological horror.
