I'm all for helping Lisa and Rune, but we should be careful that Taylor doesn't try to juggle too many things at once(Altough with her luck in this fic she'd probably be fine at the end.).

Taylor meet Herscher of scammers
Taylor meet Herscher of scammers

Taylor walks on the boardwalk to buy groceries when she spots a vendor trying to sell their merchandise to a pair of tourists.

{Hm... I don't sée this stall yesterday is this new? }
Taylor roll20 for perception ... 14
{let's find out what they sell }
Kiana rolld20 for perception....9
{ that person feel familiar }
Sirin roll20 for perception ... 13

Taylor moves close to the stall and sees three items.

"You know what, I'm in good mood today, I let you pick one"

"For real? Thank you so much, which one should we choose, captain?" Says the blue-haired tourist.

"let's see, what is this clock doing here?" The captain asked.

"Humph, you ask too many questions. Take a look for now, I will tell you later" she dismiss the pair and turned to her

"Welcome to my stall, caught anything you fancy"

" what are these? " Taylor asks.

" These three are eggs, powerful honkai beast will hatch from this someday. See the buddy sitting next to me, he is from an egg like this, he is very helpful." Chubby little bird stuck out his chest proudly.

{ honkai beast! }

{ honkai beast is not an animal that birth from an egg }

{ she is shady }
Roll20 for perception … 7
{let's observe from now }

The shady vendor tells the pair that she will give them a discount if they can show her their prowess on taming of honkai beast.

Suddenly a chariot jumps in and does the acrobat and action by the captain's order.

{ What }

{ The }

{ Hell }

{ this is seen by the populace, right? }
Brocton roll20 … 18

Taylor sees a lot of people record the show.

" bravo… bravo. Excellent taming show. But I think you still can not go to the final with that skill." Tell shady vendor.

" t-then what do we must do.." Asked the blue-haired girl.

" because you are a good customer, I will give you a manual for honkai beast taming with a 20% discount for 999 $. What do you say."

"Er…"

"let's leave seele, she tried to rip us off with more junk." Says the captain.

" not interested more, huh. How about this legendary amulet? It brings good fortune." She trying to persuade seele.

" no… thank you... We are good."

"You sure? Fine your lose good luck with your adventure~ bye."

The vendor waved goodbye and left along with the chubby little bird.
Perception roll20 … 14
Taylor squints her eyes at the shady vendor.

{let's follow her }

Taylor follows her and then moves along the corner.
Roll20 for timing… 12
She sees a portal and it shuts down.

{ can you track her sirin }
Roll20 for track … 18
Roll20 for counter … 11

{ i get her but I don't get the exact real-time position }

{ she mention honkai, do you knows her }
Roll20 perception … 4
{ nope }
{ no }

{ huh, then our only clue is the pair, let's search for them }

AN: this omake is my desire to see Herscher of scammer on this quest and because I can't create a dialogue or good telling. Most of its copying from estival seaside summer events.
HoS here displays her domination in mind manipulation. all perception is low enough to make Sirin and Kiana can't pinpoint and recognize her.
And Brockton bay notices the show is not on my plan. Certainly, she makes it entertaining.

Hey, @randomcringyjoke , mind crediting the PHO Blacksmithery - Herrscher and the users there in that omake of yours? You're not the only one who made that after all, and it's in the rules.

Notification
I wanted to write this short notice so that people are informed as to why the next post takes longer than usual.

Due to the current political situation, meaning both the plague and war, and my family being affected by both quite significantly, I have not been in a good headspace.

However, there is little point in feeling down or stress myself out over something I can not influence. However, I wanted to take the opportunity to offer my apology for keeping you waiting a little longer and to give an update on the current progress.

The post is as of this moment nearing 5k Words, and is about 1/3rd done.

take care of yourself first you have all our support
ps: my pc burst in flame so i'm using my old ass pc so sometimes it might bug out when writing so if you find me writing lovecraftian don't worry

Unless a quest I'm following has officially announced it is cancelled, I don't mind waiting as long as it takes for the QM to be in a better position to continue their writing, whether that's due to time constraints or simply not being in the right head space. Take all the time you need, we'll be here when you are ready. That's what the Watch button is for after all. :)

Poor Parahumans have no idea how holy shit Terrifying a herrscher is.

Also @QM, Take as long as you need, we're all patient here.

I do wonder if everyone will experience the full nightmarish power of the Herrscher of the Void, if an Endbringer attacks brockton bay.]

Also, couldn't the HoV undo Greyboy effects?

Theoretically possible. With how HoV characterization here. With some time to study it, she can do that.

..I mean..considering HoV is also capable of temporal manipulation to a degree then yes, technically she could do it...
(As shown briefly in Meteoric Salvation for in-game sources, as well as her time slow ability on her in-game battlesuit)

I can't recall where it was stated, but the in-game/story time fracture devices valkyries use? Developed by researching HoV's powers

Once we take Tammi and Lisa as Knights/Valkyries/whatever we call our Honkai infused recuirts we can plan and blitz the freeing of every Greyboy victim.

Gonna need to tell Danny about having powers at that point to avoid him panicking and reporting Taylor as missing while she does the rescue Blitz.

And letting Bella/Benares go full -kick your ass- mode.

Endbringer explodes, everyone else starts treating Abyss Flower like she's a human sized endbringer and goes out of their way to avoid pissing her off. XD

Funny enough, HoV is the best counter to Endbringers. IIRC even if an Endbringer Shard isn't dead, as long as the core is destroyed they won't be able to do anything since they won't have a point through which to influence anything. So just forcefully shut down the portal to the Shard body, chuck the core into a portal to the Imaginary Tree, and it won't be able to reconnect since there won't be any Sharspace Wifi to connect to in theory, for the same reason too far beyond the atmosphere is out of range as well.

Actually something I addressed in the discord, I believe. But not quite what would happen. While, in theory, you are mostly correct, she would need to actively counteract the active portal and shut down the continuous attempts for the shard and the core/Gemma to reestablish connection, which would get draining fast. Still doable and useful at times.

The one thing where I would disagree with is that it would be out of range, since shards are multiversal in nature , but you actually managed to point out a rather large issue in the current cosmology, which I will need to fix eventually.

That's needlessly complicated. One of the Void powers, shown when Sirin was battling against Teri, is that she can shift her lance in another dimension and bypass any sort of shield. Just shift the lance to the dimension where the core is and presto, one dead conflict engine.

Actually incorrect. The way it is explained is that Sirin shifted the spatial dimension of the lance in question, not the dimension as in, alternative universe. This is partly due to the lance being of imaginary space. Given that Welt blocks them fairly casually, dimensional fuckery can absolutely block them.

I.e She moved the lance through imaginary space, which can indeed circumvent most physical barriers, and then manifested it into real space.

Edit: That being said, she can find and attack shardspace, but that would require her to track it down in the sea of Quanta

Good to know about the other stuff. I figured it would be pretty difficult/impossible in this quest because Taylor isn't running around with several extra gems plus a fully connected Core full of energy, but still a funny thought that in theory Sirin with 4 gems might be able to do.

Ah, for this I more meant she could deposit the core to a sufficiently "distant" part of the Tree. Sure Entities are massively multidimensional, but since HoV is all about manipulating space, especially imaginary space, I figured their power would be better at portalling long distance than Entity brand dimensional manipulation would be at reaching too far a "distance," at least with immediately closing the portal and them being spread out/lacking some shards. Since the explanation of the cosmology is the Entites "infecting/infesting" a subsection of the Tree, I thought outside of this subsection would be out of range.

Overall, mostly just an interesting but impractical idea.

Oh, and last thing:
She moved the lance through imaginary space, which can indeed circumvent most physical barriers, and then manifested it into real space.
So basically budget Sting? Instead of expanding out in every dimension simultaneously to strike from every possible vector, the lances were just shifted to a particular dimension that most people can't interact with, let alone block, then shifting it back?

Not really. The way it's explain by authors in the CN Q&A is that her spears are "not real" and are a "dream that takes shape outside of space-time". She simply brings it into reality whenever she actually wants it to hit something. It's actually superior to Sting that can be blocked by high-energy constructs. In order to interact/block Sirin's spears you need to interact with the "true reality" as Welt described it (aka having a source code to the universe itself and being able to mess with things on a higher level than any parahuman or Scion himself has demonstrated) something he could do as a Herrscher (that ignores physical laws) and perfected in the "Alien Key" manga.

I… don't fully buy that. Like, I think more that Welt is bullshitting here, because frankly, the base reality has been a relatively huge deal given that you could affect the constants of the universe, i.e the mold for physical laws, which do apply to Herrscher. It is fallacious to claim that just because Herrscher can ignore physical laws, which we see them do, they are innately unaffected. We see this by the fact that well…. they interact with the world. We see gravity and EM and friction all affect them against their will.

I am not saying that Welt couldn't access the true reality, but given that it is a trained skill, i.e something he has not an inherent aptitude for and for lack of better terms, it is not in his domain, and he blocked Sirin's first lance shot at him (With sirin herself being an inexperienced herrscher, so unlikely to access the true reality) … Yeah, feels like an extreme unlikely claim. Like, I could buy it when we talk about a fully ascended Sirin, but base Sirin ? Far too casual to be something like that.

Plus, the descriptions basically fit imaginary space, which we know can be interacted with.

Meh, that being said, Scion here is an alien so…. the whole base reality is actually something that can be put into consideration for them.

As much as I love the Mangas, every time I read through them, I feel the need to consider it an AU because frankly, more than a few things do not line up.That is mostly a personal pew though.

When Welt says True reality i think Welt is referring that his powers work regardless of any X dimension he is in, not that he can cheat/Manipulate reality
