One thing made clear, I think, in this chapter, is that Sirin and Kiana are gone.

Rolled a nat1 on a test roll, then I mentioned Taylor, fucking nat 20 on the actual roll.
I wouldn't say gone. They are… more… grown version. They aren't acting their interaction with Taylor, but both have found their role in life.
Sirin is a pessimistic rationalist that is fundamentally divorced from Humanity. She didn't cease to be a person, but she ceased to see herself as Human. It is kinda why she can be so … her. For her, it is no longer her species.
Kiana on the other hand is fairly accurate. She is aware that her view is irrational to a level, but she still has faith.
It is actually extremely interesting because it can be seen as PE vs CE mentality.
