So, I get why OOC people are all aboard the help Tattletale train (I am as well), but what's the IC justification? I'm assuming Taylor isn't just going to be trusting her off the bat, but is the reasoning going to be "worst case I still take out a villain with an established power base" like she implied? Because I could still see ways that could go poorly, such as TT setting up a trap and such. Not poorly for Taylor mind you, but still poorly in general. I guess TT talking to the Will and understanding what exactly it and a Herrscher are is enough for Taylor to give her a chance?

Not complaining, it just feels like people are using too much OOC knowledge to make a decision rather than IC reasoning and understanding. Like, personally I think the Investigate more option is more reasonable, but then again Taylor is the kind of person who thought going undercover with the Undersiders was a good idea in canon so...

This is the same Taylor that tried to seduce Rune into a change of heart on their first meeting, i think it's not that OOC for her to at least give Lisa a shot.

The speech was moving and, speaking as someone who has been there before, absolutely true. There was never such a public announcement by a cape that was more impactful than this.​

However...no matter how large of a charisma this Abyss has, or how good at speeches she is, she still hasn't done anything noteworthy on a national level yet. All we got so far is an idealist, an inspiring one, but no actions that will give weight to her words. Brockton Bay citizens absolutely adore her right now, but will it continue? Her speech made her silhouette a giant, and her next actions will decide if it's a real one or just a cardboard prop.​

That is true, but in that same way of thinking she hasn't exactly disproven that she can change things for the better on a larger scale.​

Things change, things stay the same. The fuse has been lit and one can only wait for the inevitable explosion. I yearn for it to be glorious and devastating, to end this status quo.​

At the very least one cannot say that she is as lacking in terms of integrity as most other Parahumans. There is a beautiful bright spark, waiting to be unleashed, to grow, to light a way forward.​

Yesterday you broke it when you land on it. Usually, I would fix it already, but I'm old and my bad knee is hurt right now and the damaged place is high (My boss make me install new lockers last week and I injured myself, again. Realy, you guys should see what these disgusting punks make there. What is the problem of kids these days, how could someone mess with a locker like that?).​

Speculation time!​

For one, about her Teleportations.​

​

When watching her portaling during the Lee fight I noticed something. There is a delay.​

​

A very short one, but analysis of the Oni Lee video showed a slight time difference between her entering her portal and leaving it. Almost as if she uses some sort of sub-space.​

​

If it works how I think it does, Abyss Flower could transport entire teams within much slower timeframe. (Good to note should she ever be in a group.)​

​

Two. Personality.​

​

I am unsure on this one, but during her speech she changes the way she speaks. It is subtle, but once you start listening closely, you can differentiate three main tones.​

​

The Regular AF, the AF that sounds a little bit pissed off and sadistic (you can even hear a sort-of echo) and the AF that is either sad and depressed or like a kid having fun. It's really confusing.​

This.... i don't freaking believes no one catches this, especially since her speech leave a huge impact.

Hell this slipp will be easily spotted by any PR or any half decent psychologist, especially any thinker that analysts the video will easily catch this personality change

Most of all… Taylor is growing kinda cocky. For good reasons. but that is the main justification for myself why Taylor would consider going along with this. I think the next post will give more context as to why she would do so.

PR and Psychs? Yes. And it will even be brought up since there will be master concerns.

Thinkers? Unless they work like TT by deduction via clues, most thinker powers are… not drawing a blank as much as "Maybe this? IDK" and either throwing out something utterly nonsensical or contradictory information.

To clarify. In this case the normals have an advantage, and I will probably do an interlude with the good ol PRT to show the more concrete reactions to her speech.

The main point why people aren't going weird over the idea that she might be insane or some such is that people really have… not much to work with. AF had stated that she was breaking character during this, and the echoes might simply be an voice modulator for effect.

It may appear weird to the more perceptive of the audience , but nothing AF did was outside of the realm of a somewhat decent actor.

You're assuming they missed it. I don't think they did. For the folks you mentioned they might just be building a profile that they don't share to the world at large. The PRT/Protectorate definitely have a rudimental psych profile on her, but they're not lighting that out in PHO. Coil would definitely something like that, and it would have been really detailed if Tattletale wasn't ambushed by the Honkai Will. Right now it's probably something along the line of: "idealistic, potentially rebellious, appears relatively stable but may have mood whiplash, need more info."

Or it got buried in the incredible amount of postings inside the thread. -shrug- It happens sometimes even in SB, especially for people just jumping in popular threads. I'm one of those that, unless i'm following it from the beginning, i don't read every post inside a thread and will miss stuff if they're not under something like Informational tagging.

On the topic of the promised omake: life is happening and it fought me sort of hard. My ideas keep changing somehow and my muse is throwing word spaghetti at the wall at the moment (no walls were hurt and no sauce wasted). I have a draft, but i don't like that so you won't get that; it'll probably be scrapped. Other than that cheers
