Heavy Meta (No SV, You Are The Eldritch Horror!)

"Sleep sounds good, yes." Mina, in her own shape again, yawns elaborately. "Dinner would also be appreciated. Ships aren't especially edible, not even living ones."

Elizabeth uses the Solid Arts to see if it is likely to explode.
"Well, Miss Elizabeth." Remi smiles unpleasantly. "How nice to see you again. I imagine it must be quite the thrill to have finally beaten a monster. Now, I believe there are civilians outside, who require assistance. With your knowledge of the more healing oriented Liquid Arts, I am certain that you would love to go help them. I can escort you there if you'd like." His grin grows even bigger and takes on a feeling of smugness.

Darius sighs and looks around "It seems that without the monster, everything of the cove is gone..." Darius shakes his head "I am in need of bed rest, my body is running to its limit." The old man says, leaning on his cane.

Daniel nods, before saying "Come on, I'll get you all into the gunbee, and we can head back to base."

Before he does though, Daniel turns to Elizabeth and remarks "Also, next time you want to go for a late night adventure, please do the required paperwork first."

Elizabeth agreeably takes his arm. She's sure he can find some way to be useful. Triage, maybe.

Elizabeth just directs a friendly smile at him before moving off toward the civilians.

She has no idea whether this is a warning or true permissiveness, but she's not too worried. She's lived in the sort of bureaucracies that keep the paperwork pristine whilst allowing some of the people they are supposed to be organising to abuse others and they have always paid the price of letting the abusers run the place. As Darius already scorns her, she doesn't have anything much to lose.

Darius stares and says "Oh yeah...Civilians." He grabs Typhon and hands the murder pupper Mina "Watch him for me please, Gotta help with triage." Darius hobbels along, this would not be his first time helping medics.

Injuries among the civilians are surprisingly light, considering they were just in a train wreck.
No-one found the phantom link? I am disappoint.
Still, those who are conscious are very grateful indeed for any assistance that you can and have rendered. Unfortunately, not everyone got out of this unscathed, as one woman has approached Elizabeth with tears in her eyes, her child's head obviously crushed beyond the point of recovery.

As they walk towards the civilians, Remi continues smiling. "Now, miss, just because you have helped us all does not mean I have forgotten your behavior. There will be a reckoning after we finish the clean-up."

Elizabeth smiling back. It's a little more honest than most of her smiles and noticeably more vicious.

"Oh, don't worry." She just manages to stop a "my dear" slipping out. "I don't expect you to have forgotten anything."

Elizabeth catches the woman's eye and says gently,

"They're dead. I can't help."

She runs her power through the child, a habitual automatic gesture, trying futilely to mend those most vital parts, to recapture the spark of life, knowing that it is already far too late.

A lot of the people she has failed to heal were children. Most of their deaths were even more preventable than this one, tragedies borne of simple bad circumstances and ignorance, but that is no comfort to this tiny body's soul or its failed caretaker.

Darius looks at the woman and says in a soft voice "I know that you not wish to hear this, but I am sorry for your loss, the death of a child is always hard, espcialy when they die so young. No parent wants to outlive their childeren." Darius sighs "Truely bringing the dead back is not an easy task, which I am afraid none of us are capable off..." Darius looks mournful "What was the childs name....?"
Burying your childeren is never fun...
Darius knows that from personal expierence
an iron casket with a glass lid, visible within is the body of a gangly, athelictly built man with a soft black mustache and short, wild black locks. His eyes are closes, his vein purple, one of his eye socket nothing more then a scar.
"Why? Why did he have to die, for what did he die?"
-"Why do you still serve them? They killed Darlyn for a petty buck!"-

Mina follows to the triage area. She's no healer, but she's had to set a broken bone or two in her time.

The lost boy gets a kiss on that broken forehead, bloodying her lips. "Bless and keep the little one, whatever gods may be."

Remi turns to the mother. "You know, if you've got a photo, I can try to reach him for you. Give you a chance to say goodbye."

Punching through the ship's deck takes mere seconds, before you find yourself in the ship's burning hold, coming face to face with a large green crystal. Said green crystal is very rapidly pulsing red, almost in time to every bit of pain your team applies to the ship.
"Now, it's over, it seems."

Valiard walked forward, preparing to punch the crystal to death.

A/N: Last GM post for tonight.

The woman nods, saying "That would be so, so kind." She quickly digs through her purse, before presenting you with a photograph, depicting a smiling little girl, wearing a birthday crown. The cake in front of the photographed version has three candles.

"I think you'll want to meet with Sarah Caccasi." Albert said quietly.

DOWNTIME PERIOD: Day 2
After the excitement prompted by Elizabeth's runaway attempt, the flight back to base in the gunbee goes quickly, and at Daniel's insistence you all get some sleep.

Come morning, the smell of delicious fried food can be smelled coming from the kitchen. Anyone who comes to investigate will see that the cooking is actually being performed by an automaton butler. Daniel is off in the corner and says "Hello! If you're curious about Mr. Brassheart there, they were confiscated from a man named Reginald Cacassi last night as part of his arrest. Anyway, I pulled some strings and managed to get this fellow brought over here to handle most domestic tasks."

There are a few moments of silence now, before Daniel adds "Also, I took a late-night call from Doctor Hematite. He'll be coming over here around noon to talk with you guys, Remi in particular."

Darius says off-handedly "Fine fine, warn me if something dangerous happens." He takes a moment to take room as close to the armory, an exit and a bathroom as possible and (if said room is empty) drops his stuff there. He quickly changes his clothes into his evening wear (a comfortable pair of pants) and sleeps like the dead.

"Sapient, or merely a simulacra? A sapient will want paying, I imagine."

Either way, Mina will be having sausages and bacon. Healing is hungry work.

Daniel shrugs, saying "I've asked everyone who might have some idea of that I could reach, including the machine themselves. Every last one of them told me they aren't sure, and when I asked Mr. Brassheart, he spouted some nonsense about being unable to find the file."

"Probably better to treat it well, just in case, then."

Valiard awakes in a decidedly bad mood, his wounds still somewhat sore. The field treatment hadn't exactly worked wonders.
