Gundam Crucible - [An AU Universal Century Quest]

[X] Do a pre-flight inspection. Gundam or not, this thing has been sitting here for long enough that you're worried about its flightworthiness.

Gundams are usually sturdy, but often full of special tech, the kind that can degrade over time or require calibration. Don't want to go into battle and find there is a significant lag between the cockpit and visual feeds, or that some of the joints have issues preventing full motion, or thruster throttle control being over or under sensitive. The point is there is a lot that can go wrong when it comes to complicated machines.

Let's try to be sure it won't fall apart two seconds after we get the heck out of here.

Even emergency launches need to verify that all the things are go and all the fuel and ammo locked properly

[X] Scour the hangar for Option Parts. You'll need every bit of firepower if you want to contribute to the colony's defense!

If the flight check comes up negative against a Doban Wolf than the check in itself isn't going to help worth a damn. Get some variety of options and have an answer to the situation instead of playing to immediate panic.

Island Cascadia
  • One of the colonies located at Side 5 "Loum". Cascadia managed to avoid major damage during the One Year War, but their economy went into recession shortly afterwards. The Colony was used as a Titans base for a number of years, before the Titans were abolished. Neo Zeon took up residence in the abandoned facilities, before they too left after the First Neo Zeon War ended. Since then, the colony has remained mostly unmolested by any of the military powers in the Earth Sphere, however the state of the colony itself is poor.
Wasn't Loum mostly pasted by nukes during the eponymous battle?

Yes. Island Cascadia is surrounded by the shattered husks of its fellow colonies.

Canon says that surviving colonies from Loum were relocated. Cascadia (which is original to the Quest) stayed put due to debris making its relocation too hazardous and expensive. However, ships can still reach it.

A hell of a lot more than anyone that thought a Gaza-C was fit for combat.

I'd play devils advocate for the Gaza C, but no. It literally falls apart after a few transformations, it's that fucking worthless. It's the Dunsparce of Mobile Suits, and not even half as cute.

Know that I do this entirely expecting for our brother to die a horrible death to motivate us to kill the Federation harder, but if we're going to waste time, I'd rather to it playing to the RX-124's design philosophy of "Stick anything on, and with the right parts you can outperform anything and kill God"

And yet the Sleeves still have them in service!

Likewise, your colony is not picky about what they can press into service. They've just taped over the transformation switch and have a post it note over it with the following: "DO NOT TRANSFORM"
