Gundam Crucible - [An AU Universal Century Quest]

"Ah, the Sinanju Stein…" Carlos nods, eagerly adding, "Would you like to take this one home? I don't suppose I need to expound upon the properties of this Mobile Suit. If you're familiar with Full Frontal, you already know what it can do."

Uh… what? Seriously… what?

The Stein would be a significant improvement over our Woundwort. It has a Psycho-Frame. It has nearly identical stats to the Sinanju, barring some minor tweaks to the cockpit and controls the rest of the changes were cosmetic. Theo getting something like this is ridiculous. What is going on here?

As for Eris, the Unit 8 was about what I was expecting from this option. A good mobile suit, if no longer top of the line. It has comparable stats to a ReZEL so it won't have a mechanical edge over the opposition but won't be outmatched either. What it does have in spades is uniqueness and history, which count for a lot in Gundam. Mass Production suits tend to get fodderized, so having a unique suit helps with survivability.

"… I'm good," Sicilia shakes her head, "Maybe later. I like flying with you, Big Sis."

The Kshatriya is my personal favorite mobile suit, so this disappoints me a little. I'd rather have a Wingman than a Co-Pilot. Oh well.

[x] Fine, you might as well see who's got Eris so excited.

Maybe Beecha Oleg and Elle Vianno? Beecha became a Federation captain and Elle was an Ace by the end of ZZ. They used to be junk dealers so maybe they went back to that at some point, and now they're thinking about joining back up with Bright since the Federation is going all in on the Titans nostalgia.

Carlos kindly asks that you don't ask questions about the Cutting Edge Mobile Suit that he's very eager to offload onto you. Sign on the dotted line and have a nice day. No refunds, returns, or exchanges.

This is not actually true. The thrust system, particularly on the backpack, between the Sinanju and Stein is significantly different, as well as the weight balance as a result. The Sinanju was very much designed to be Full Frontal's machine. Basically every game its ever been in actually agrees on that front that the Sinanju is actually a fair bit faster.

It also, politically, is a nightmare, not to mention basically impossible to control in much the same way Char's Zaku II was impossible for others to fly. Sometimes there is such thing as too much thrust. Anaheim is very much offloading a political timebomb here.

Can someone tell me the significance of the MCs mobile suit because this seem omonious.
The TR-6 is the culmination of the development line responsible for testing basically everything the Titans ever deployed on a single core frame, a list that very much includes the Psyco Gundams.

It's a very subtle craft that definitely can't be configured as a nuclear strike platform fit for interplanetary travel.

More then that, the Mars Zeonites managed to respec one into an absolute nightmare of a machine by just replacing the older parts.

I'm late to the party realizing Marida Cruz is in the same clone line up and that 4 winged zalu is supposed to be hers. We must track it down and give it to our own.

Closing votes in a few hours! Parfait is only one vote behind. What will it be? Lore or sweets?

So one thing I'm not clear on, is when the POD happened?

Is this basically "Unicorn Gundam happened, but things Got Worse afterwards"?

Seems like instead of the canon of "Federation Eats Crow and Apologizes" they decided to go for "Titans 2: Titan Harder" and kicked off the warring space states period decades early.

Edit: Also hey, I'm caught up. Nice Quest so far.
Also they just expected Bright to stand by - Their specific focus on trying to oppress newtypes seems partially responsible for him actively starting shit instead of waiting for an AEUG to form or hoping in vain that cooler heads prevail.

Bright: The Universal Century is going to get better any second now.

*Zeon Remnants slaughter civilians*

Bright: Any second now...

*Federation guns down Colonist protestors*

Bright: Any second...

*Char drops a colony directly on a single house full of specifically innocent and cute orphans*
