Another question Carvacho, what exactly are the benefits of getting the Tesla coil research? Are we going full realistic and they are a type of generator or can we go full Red Alert and see WW1 tesla troopers?

allied countries
Russian empire allies

German empire

Since the foundation of the German Empire, the people of Germany enjoyed an expansion in their economy, under the leadership of Oto von Bismarck and Wilhelm I the empire reached the status of world power rivaling the British but now the sun is shining a little bit less. With the ascension of Wilhelm II, Bismarck lost support in the government and arguing with the new Kaiser does not help him. Their alliance with Austria-Hungary has now been expanded with the inclusion of Rusia under Tsar Nicholas II forming the league of the three emperors whose aim is to keep the British empire influence out of the continent.

Austria-Hungary

Austria-Hungary has not enjoyed the calm time of the German empire, with Franz Ferdinand as Kaiser the Austro-Hungarians seem to be stable but with a week heir in Rudolf, many are worried for the future of their country. Now that Russia has been added to the alliance they can stop keeping as many men in the Russian border and assign them in places that they are needed more.

Kingdom of Hawaii

The kingdom of Hawaii is experiencing a rapid industrialization thanks to Russian investment, with the engagement of Princess Victoria to the Russian Tsar Nicholas II, the small island nation has now been electrified in some areas and is expected to become a major military and naval outpost in the Pacific Ocean.

Kingdom of Joseon

The Kingdom of Joseon I now on Russias sphear more out of necessity than anything else considering that the Japanese eyed them like a piece of meat, they have started to modernize the country's industry, infrastructure, and armed forces.

Chile

Argentina

Uruguay

Diplomacy (pick three)

Three emperors are better than one (can't be taken with Home of Napoleon or the golden lion)

Your father didn't really have many talks with either the Germans or the dual monarchy before his death but the idea of the league seems very beneficial in your eyes to send a message to both Kaiser to discuss things.

Chance of success: 65% (will take two turns)

Reward: league of the tree emperors restored.

Needed: 35

Rolled: 122 (crit roll: 17)

With the invasion drawing near you needed to protect your European flank ensuring that both Germany and Austria-Hungary were on friendly terms with you and with Mijail the both of you managed to gain a meeting with both Kaisers procuring an alliance that will keep the British away from your business for now.

Reward: league of the tree emperors restored.

An island in the Pacific

Your engagement with Victoria gives you a chance to invest in Hawaii so you can gain a better presence in the Pacific and to keep the influence of the USA in check.

You can invest in (pick one):

Electrification

Chance of success: 60%

Rewards: Increase influence in Hawaii

Needed: 40

Rolled: 75

According to the men you send to Hawaii seeing the island of Oahu with so much light at night was a magical experience, one that made the Russian empire more popular in the eyes of both the people and the government.

Rewards: Electrification and Increase influence in Hawaii.

Between a rock and a hard place

The kingdom of Joseon lies between both China and Japan invest in them to ensure they can withstand an assault from either one of them.

You can invest in (pick one):

Train and railways

Chance of success: 60%

Rewards: Increase influence

Needed: 40

Rolled: 100 (crit roll: 100)

From Vladivostok to Pyongyang to Seul and ending in Busan the kingdom of Joseon is now connected by railways, while they do not reach far into the countryside only passing by the main cities and of a medium quality it's an improvement from what they had.

Rewards: Train and railways increase in influence.

Military (pick three)

Always wear a helmet

Thanks to the recent military exercise the need for some head protection has now been shown, Brusilov thinks he can get a few men together and design something that will keep the soldiers relatively safe.

Chance of success: 60 %

Reward: helmets (grants +5 to army wounded rolls)

Needed; 40

Rolled: 70

The helmets where a success, the will keep the soldiers heads safe from at least four out of five times, some of your generals disapprove of them believing that it makes your soldiers less terrifying but will use enforce the use with the men.

Invasion

Brusilov request your permission to start with the pacification of the invasion, he believes there are two options, the army could advance fast and secure as much land as they can and then entrench waiting for the supplies to arrive or they could advance in a slow way securing positions and then preceding to advance. With the navy there where three options, to hunt down enemy ships, attack their convoy and staying at the port so that the enemy couldn't move their own ships. Off course, your input will be accepted as well if you wish to give it

Army chooses one:

[] Rapid advance as much as is possible in the shortest amount of time, securing hopefully the majority of the territory and population centers. Then go heavy on the defense and murder them on our guns.

Navy choose one

[] convoy raiding

Chances of success: 100%

Reward: plan for the invasion decided

Needed: 0

Rolled: 85

The invasion plan now called plan red was a mixture of both your opinion and Brusilovs it called for an advance of your troops to cover as much ground as they could, after that they were to dig in and put a defense so that the supplies could catch up to them before advancing again. On the sea, the tactic was a different one the fleet would leave port and hunt down enemy supply ships denying the enemy resources they needed to fight you and your Armenian allies.

Reward: plan for the invasion decided

The numbers (free action)

With the war just around the corner you need to know the exact number of troops and ships you have in the army and in the navy, allowing Brusilov to have better info on how to plan the attack on the Ottomans.

Chance of success: 100%

Rewards: army and navy numbers now known

Needed: 0

Rolled: 76

With everything that both the army and the navy needed, some things slipped from your mind like the number of men in the army and the number of ships the navy had so with a discreet look you managed to rectify it before someone noticed.

Rewards: army and navy numbers now known (going to be putting up a thread mark in information for both the army and navy with everything in it)

Medics in combat

Brusilov has an idea, to incorporate medics in to the army but not as support instead, he wants to put them in the front line where they will be able to administrate first aid to the wounded ensuring that some of them survive.

Chance of success: 75%

Rewards: combat medics (+5 to wounded roll)

Needed: 25

Rolled: 88

The new addition to the army seems to be an excellent idea, according to the test done the medics improved the soldiers chances of surviving from wounds that would otherwise kill them, it didn't guaranty that every one of the will live some wounds were too severe for them to help but at least they could help those who needed it.

Rewards: combat medics (+5 to wounded roll)

Intrigue (pick two)

I spy with my little aye

With the ISB you can now start screening for foreign agents and stop them from discovering your secrets and plans.

Chance of success: 65 %

Reward: enemy agents discovered.

Needed: 45

Rolled: 59

It seems the ISB was busy in these six months, they managed to find spies in both the military office and Teslas lab, and with some persuasion, they revealed that the British were responsible.

Reward: enemy agents discovered.

Operation sand storm

Thanks to the ISB the Okhrana informs you that agents could be sent to the Ottoman Empire to rouse the population to fight for their future country, denying the enemy support from the Armenian region.

Chance of success: 50 %

Reward: -10 to ottoman army rolls

Needed: 50

Rolled: 29 (re-roll 66)

When the agents were about to cross into the ottoman lands they were stopped by border guards for an inspection, luckily for the agents, everything was in order and they were able to infiltrate the country.

Reward: -10 to ottoman army rolls

Research and development (pick two)

The first electrical cars

With a prototype that works tesla plans on establishing car factories so that they can replicate and sell them towards the public. He plans to name it Tesla motors.

Chances of success: 70%

Rewards: New options unlocked.

Needed: 30

Rolled: 102 (crit roll: 55)

It seems the electric cars Tesla made were a success based on how much the rich seemed to be talking about them. Tesla informs you that now that the cars are made he can use the engine to create a more advanced one that could power up some sort of carriage to move a large amount of people in them.

Rewards: New options unlocked.

A car that can shoot?

The new engine helps in regards to getting the car moving, the military seems interested in mounting a machinegun on it and having it face the enemy, Tesla thinks it's possible but tells you that it will take time to develop one that is effective against soldiers

Chances of success: 55%

Rewards: Armored cars now possible and new actions unlocked

Needed: 45

Rolled: 104 (crit roll: 6)

The military seems pleased with the so called armored car, it can shoot a machinegun and move at the same time, but it still leaves the driver and the gunner exposed, Tesla said that a better armored a variant could be made now that the idea is no longer just a concept.

Rewards: Armored cars now possible and new actions unlocked

Stewardship (pick two)

Awaken the bear

Now that Witte finished with his plans he can start implementing them in the regions he managed to plan (Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania, Poland, Moscow, Belarus region).

Chance of success: 50% (will last 3 turns)

Rewards: industrialization of the region chosen.

Needed: 50

Rolled: 79

The next region chosen to improve their industry is Moscow, Witte tells you it will be finished in a year and a half.

The Urals (locked for one turn)

The Ural Mountains stand between you and the Far East tell Witte to send people there so that he can plan their industry, railways, and electrification

Chance of success: 60% (will last 3 turns)

Rewards: can now plan industrialization of Ural region and railway

This is my rifle, this is my gun

The one thing your army still lacks is guns, right now not everyone has one and with the war near it will put your troops at a disadvantage. Witte proposes to order the factories to work overtime to contribute to the war effort. With the risk of the ottoman discovering the attack you can't tell the people why this is happening, risking the possibility of angering them.

Chances of success: 80%

Rewards: remove under-equipped (-10 to ground combat rolls) probability of raising the risk of revolt

Needed: 20

Rolled: 118 (crit roll: 50)

it seems that the workers didn't question the motives of why everyone was now making guns, there were some isolated incidents but the workers continued with the task.

Rewards: remove under-equipped (-10 to ground combat rolls) probability of raising the risk of revolt

Personal (pick two)

Pen pals part 2

Now that you are engaged your mother recommends to start talking with her for both of you to begin building some sort of friendship at the very least.

Chance of success: 90%

Reward: Nicholas and Victoria continue developing a friendship

Needed: 10

Rolled: 98 (crit roll 94)

You continued exchanging letters with Victoria, you learned that she was coming to Europe to study in England for some time, remembering that Hawaii barely has a winter you tell her that she should be careful with the weather, London could be very cold in some months. The conversation seems to flow less rigid than the first letters you exchanged, it seems a friendship might be possible when she is older.

Reward: Nicholas and Victoria continue developing a friendship

Focus on a task

Sometimes two head think better than one choose one action to focus on it.

Reward: apply Nicholas stats to the roll of one of the tasks you choose.

Stats applied to this is my rifle, this is my gun

event roll: 55 (nothing happens)

edit: to see event ranges go to advisors and other things at the bottom there is a spoiler with the info

It must seem weird for people expecting Nicholas to fall apart but instead is improving Russia instead of being a ineffectual leader.

Three emperors are better than one (can't be taken with Home of Napoleon or the golden lion)

you got so lucky with this option was a crit you, Willhelm the second is the Kaiser of the German Empire with the crit you secure the talk and with the crit roll, you fulfilled the ambition of having the league restored.

Ok I thought the Under equipped would go away, not to mention if we can keep on building...

Tesla is best man ever and is going down history as the best inventor for Russia ever!

Plus we need to really kick our stuff into gear and hopefully get our civilian morale high enough that they throw a party for Nicholas!

The rest of Europe is watching with baited breath on how this Tsar is making Russia Great Again in so short a time.

I think Germany and Britain are making plans, the former is thinking that Russia may be a threat to their ambitions to be a Hegemon in Central and Eastern Europe while the latter is wanting to have no Hegemons arise in Europe.

on the Imperial Russian navy I can't find solid data on the era only thing I could find that everyone seems to agree is that there where 29 ironclads in 1888 that's it, I will keep looking for info if you think I should up the number of ships please tell me.

turn 8 is going to have changed, crits are going to go form 90 to 95 and the chancess of success will be lower but not by much.

i was planning to write an interlude for the rifle action, a speech Nicholas makes to factory workers who want answers, but I couldn't get a good flow with the words.

The battleship class during the time of this game:
Ekaterina II-class battleship - Wikipedia

In 1863, during the American Civil War, the Russian Navy's Atlantic and Pacific fleets wintered in the American ports of New York and San Francisco, respectively. Some historians credit this visit as a major factor in deterring France and the UK from entering the war on the Confederate side.[7] Delahaye states that besides supporting the Union, Russia was also preparing for a war with France and the UK should they intervene in the Polish insurrection of 1863. The Russian Navy was weak and could easily be blockaded in its home ports, but if it was in the US when the war started it could more easily attack British and French commerce.[8][9]

The Imperial Russian Navy continued to expand in the later part of the century becoming the third largest fleet in the world after the UK and France. The expansion accelerated under Tsar Nicholas II who had been influenced by the American naval theoretician Alfred Thayer Mahan. Russian industry, although growing in capacity, was not able to meet the demands and some ships were ordered from the UK, France, Germany, USA, and Denmark. French naval architects in particular had a considerable influence on Russian designs.

Russia's slow technical and economic development in the first half of the 19th century caused her to fall behind other European countries in the field of steamboatconstruction. By the outbreak of the Crimean War in 1853, Russia had the Baltic and Black Sea Fleets, Arkhangelsk Flotilla, Caspian Flotilla and Okhotsk Flotilla (altogether, 40 battleships, 15 frigates, 24 corvettes and brigs, 16 steam frigates etc.).

The combined number of staff of all the fleets equaled 91,000 people. Despite all this, the reactionary serfdom system had an adverse effect on the development of the Russian Navy. It was especially typical of the Baltic Fleet, which was known for its harsh military drill.

Thanks to admirals Mikhail Lazarev, Pavel Nakhimov, Vladimir Kornilov, and Vladimir Istomin, the sailors of the Black Sea Fleet were taught the art of warfare and upholding of military traditions of the Russian Navy, formed in the times of Admiral Ushakov.

The Battle of Sinop in 1853 the Black Sea Fleet under Nakhimov made a number of tactical innovations. During the Siege of Sevastopol in 1854-1855, the Russian sailors used all means possible to defend their base from land and sea. In accordance with the Treaty of Paris, Russia lost the right to have a military fleet in the Black Sea. In the 1860s, the Russian fleet which had relied upon sails lost its significance and was gradually replaced by steam.

After the Crimean War, Russia commenced construction of steam-powered ironclads, monitors, and floating batteries. These vessels had strong artillery and thick armor, but lacked seaworthiness, speed and long-distance abilities. In 1861, they built the first steel-armored gunship Opyt (Опыт). In 1869, the Russians began the construction of one of the first seafaring ironclads, Petr Veliky (Пётр Великий).

thank you for the information, going to check the russian site and edit the navy fleets after my exam

Very good turn overall, will the next part be a mini-turn about the Armenian war

theres going to be a small interlude with an armenian pov to describe the tension they are feeling and the in trun 8 there is the option to go to war or delay for a year if you guys want to.

both the interlude and the turn are going to be up by tomorrow cous my brother is using my pc

Honestly I think the rest of Europe is just going "Damn, he got really lucky finding that Tesla guy."

I also think how we influence the American election will be interesting. Harrison was elected because he was a good diplomat and keen on opening up ties to Europe. I wonder if that will change with the newfound tension.

As not too big of a Russian military fan, how exactly do we rate compared to other world navies? I understand that we have the third biggest, but does that mean we have the third best?
