Glory of the Emerald Empire (Legend of the 5 Rings Quest)

[x] Focus everything on the Giant Shadowspawn.
-[x] attacking stance
-[x] with each swing let loose a great kiai in the style of Shirou to drive as much holy fire into the abomination as we can

It's just swung the battle against the lesser shadowspawn even further in humanity's favour with that trick - while failing to fully heal itself - the forces with us will destroy even more of them now and if it survives long enough to try it again it will get even less benefit and probably win us that fight completely. Not that we want to keep the battle going that long with fire management so difficult.

[X] Kill what lesser Shadowspawn remain.

Killing the little guys is going to be way easier now that he drained them.

Allllllll part of the plan.

I.e it's something that everyone on the battlefield can do. We are the only person that can go toe to toe with the big one.

There is also the problem that each lesser spawn won't take up much fire and there is transit time between them so we'd be at risk of burning ourselves out if we attack them in close combat. If we try throwing fire about we lack Akio's years of fine control experience and they're in close combat with our allies.

Need to save that void point for the stamina roll

You do have one Void Point left, however I believe the majority of you wanted to keep it in reserve to buff the Stamina Roll that comes after Sosuke lets the fire fade. That roll determines just how much damage Sosuke takes from his exertions here.

do we know how effective we would be against the lesser shadow spawn? or more accurately do we have some idea of how many per turn we could kill? I get the impression we are better at single target than multi target.

We also do AOE just by being near them. Plus don't want comrades to get squished.

No...giving something a name in Rokugan gives it power. Oni when summoned generally end up taking the name of their summoner. I'd rather not test the theory with the Nothing.
Ah, but its powerful because it's the one thing that wasn't named back when the sun was going around naming shit.

Now we're the sun (or at least, a partial avatar thereof), and we're facing it down again (or at least, a partial avatar thereof).

Ex-Sun. The Elemental Dragons got tired of our shit, so they overthrew and then killed us. Lord Sun is the Jade Dragon now. So while we still have some power left, I doubt we have any of the mythical ouff.
