Did you include the doubling of body refinement progress when using fire Qi? If not, it should be 36/30, so complete.

Also, I really wish we had been able to refine the blood with Blood Qi. That would've been just so cool. Shame we haven't gotten our hands on any of the stuff.

Fixed it, thank you.

And I suspect that in the future, once we are better able to source blood qi, we will be putting at least some of it towards refining our blood. For now though we have to "settle" for using what we have available. Fortunately using fire qi isn't a bad choice either, it doubles the progress and the rewards so we're looking at +2 Con and Dex. And since our descendant is also going to be doing some blood refining we may make some good progress towards the next level too

So... one of the interesting questions is... what does this kid look like from the outside? We're doing a lot of "tools to build the tools" stuff, and none of that is going to be particularly visible. Aside from that... I feel like he mostly looks like he's doing too much stuff. Like, he hunts spirit vermin and also improved in three different skills at the same time, and also cultivates at a decent rate at the same time. The advantages of using just the right qi everywhere are very real, but they're long-term enough that they won't be obvious for a while. He's probably noted as having pretty good comprehension. For now... actually, for now, I suspect that no one really much notices. From any given angle, he just looks like a low-talent cultivator who happens to be putting a lot of personal focus into whatever specific thing it is that you're paying attention to. In order to realize that there was anything unusual going on, you'd have to be paying attention to a number of different fields, and no one really cares about the guy enough to be paying attention like that just yet.

Admittedly, the alchemy hall is going to be a tch surprised when he walks in the door at skill 2 or 3 without ever having come to any of them for training... but I suspect that that will be the first time that anyone starts noticing that his abilities are in any way unusual.

Did enough people vote to have our descendant buy the Body Exilir? We don't get the bonus if he doesn't buy.

At present 7 people have voted to buy a body elixir, meaning 8 more voters would need to in order to successfully purchase it. So if making big progress on body cultivation is of interest to you, make sure to add that to your votes in addition to your action!

I imagine that, from the outside, it mostly looks like he just hunts a lot and has a lot of qi, which is easily dismissed as "spent the CC on pills". Skills are difficult enough to measure that it might, from an outside perspective, vanish beneath the signal noise of "too busy grieving to operate at full talent" that people would assume of him early on.

His ancestors swarmed the first disciple attempting to take advantage but they didn't gather the energy and will for fighting in the last few days and there was nothing they could do about the second disciple.
The disciple's sword broke upon Guang Li skin

I think the biggest clues that something is going on here is with that last altercation against the Young Master. A guy's sword broke upon his skin, and if anyone asks the other Disciple then maybe someone particular astute might connect us to what happened with the first exhibition match; where Wrath ghosts help tilt the odds by sending bad dreams.

I say the person who has the best odds of piecing this information together is other social links.

You know, I probably should have mentioned it but no one knows you're a Guang. Li might be talentless but he's not stupid. Somone just killed the entire Guang Line and they were very much within the five top powers of this continent.

And Guang Li has no idea if someone is going to come over and finish the job so he just omitted that part.

Also, every turn is like a month. Even if someone were to look over Guang Li entire time at the sect (and they wont because why would they?) all they will find is a slightly below average but dedicated disciple.

There are some instances where someone keen eyed might have noticed something but even then, there are like a hundred completely mundane explanations.

On the other hand there have doubtless been disciples who have come to the sect with a background in any number of skills. At Li's current level I suspect most would believe him to have had some lessons prior to arriving at the sect or perhaps a bit of natural talent that's just starting to get cultivated. He's got some talent for alchemy, but it's not like he's exceptional in that regard. Perhaps there are even disciples better than him in our portion of the sect!

Guang Line and they were very much within the five top powers of this continent.
So when you say top 5, do you mean they were a solid powerhouse of the 5 greatest powers? Or that they were powerful/influential/wealthy/had Cultivators and their position on if they made it on a List of the top 5 Powers on this continent depends on the criteria of said List?

The first implies they were unquestionably in their position, but the second implies they are a major force but not the reign overlords, so to speak. Which implies different motives on the whys and how's someone would wipe the clan.

They were very much an equal to the rest of the five (now four) great powers, they were both rich, had plenty of high-level cultivators and controlled a decent amount of land.

You thinking, like did Li see who was attacking his family or their holdings? Recognizable logos/ clan symbols?

Or did he get awoken in the dead of night and told to run to join this sect?
yeah basically did he actually see anything or was he like in a random town drinking only to see a giant explosion in the far distance and find his family land all in ruins a few weeks after the attack happened.

Given that there's an action to find out what happened (requiring an impressive 500 points to achieve success), and what was said in the first post it seems that even the ghosts don't know for sure what happened. Although I'm sure they have suspicions.
