Maybe those cringe lines worked a lot better when she wasn't plastered on spiked party punch, or she just remembered to use better material. It's possible that Caitlyn has been leaning on her name more than she thought.

Everyone voting for tying up Lux - I understand the reaction.

But there's no time and if her guards burst in looking for her it automatically escalates and we don't want Demacian escalation with Seraphine right there. Jynx having Lux's sword has an explanation. Lux being tied up doesn't.

There's only one exit out of the room - if Jinx has Lux's sword there's no way out.

Tying her up is just more risk for the same result at best

Her guards have been away since Jinx was walking around with Lux earlier. Why would they have reason to disrupt them now? Also by that logic we dont have time for anything.

Because there's a difference between not being right next to your charge and realizing that no one's seen her in the last quarter/half hour. And remember the clock starts when Lux started using illusions.

The time crunch is less the tying up is the untying/hiding of ropes and the signs of being hog tied.

Guards burst in with Jynx holding Lux's sword there are explanations.

Guards burst in on Lux hogtied or being untied, the best case explanation is awkward as hell. And I'm not sure anyone would believe it.

She lied about accepting Jinx going off and followed her to a private talk with a friend right now the most important thing is seeing if Seraphine is in danger and I think Jinx can be mostly polite while getting the..

I think she's seeing parallels between her not grasping she had a major still present crush on Vi until it was too late.

As she said, she sees Jinx as her younger sister (and also Vi's so not getting away from that reminder) being extremely good friends with Seraphine. Whether or not anything is there - yeah I can see why soused Caitlyn would jump to that conclusion

Caitlyn's definitely projecting a bit. She's got some regrets about not making a move on Vi or even realizing she had a bit of a crush until it was too late. Which normally wouldn't matter so much, but her relationship with Jinx makes it hard to ever completely forget about Vi the way she would if it was just a normal case of "I should've asked that girl out."

Plus Caitlyn was just trolling Jinx a bit. Teasing younger siblings is the natural order of things, and drunk Caitlyn doesn't have any filter. Though she might also think there's legitimate potential there.

Also, I've gotta imagine someone having a budding crush on her would be awkward as hell for Seraphine. "Aww, those are such warm and friendly thoughts for me. Wait, what's this new feeling? Oh. Oh! Oh…"

The tie her up and be friendly option sounds funny, but I think this is best for not looking super sus when the guards inevitably show up.
