GAME ON [The Gamer/Negima]

... Now, I am imagining what happens later, going from the 1000 yen to the face omake.

*Ding* luck level 100!
"All right! I'm going to be.... Whats that rumbling noise?"
Chisame looks down the street and sees a wall of paper bills flying at her.
"Oh cra-"
*Ding* Through sheer dumb luck, Luck has increased!*Ding* Through sheer dumb luck, Luck has increased!*Ding* Through sheer dumb luck, Luck has increased!*Ding* Through sheer dumb luck, Luck has increased!*Ding* Through sheer dumb luck, Luck has increased!*Ding* Through sheer dumb luck, Luck has increased!*Ding* Through sheer dumb luck, Luck has increased!*Ding* Through sheer dumb luck, Luck has increased!*Ding* Through sheer dumb luck, Luck has increased!*Ding* Through sheer dumb luck, Luck has increased!*Ding* Through sheer dumb luck, Luck has increased!*Ding* Through sheer dumb luck, Luck has increased!

*Later, in the hospital*
"Doctor, come quick! We have an emergency patient! She is suffering from a uncountable number of papercuts, and has multiple broken bones!"

[Gamer's Cap - Unique]
The Gamer's awesome hat. Keeps the sun out of one's eyes and their head cool whenever they venture into the savage outside.

I see you decided to take my advice on that particular fix. I'll point you towards Higure's suggestions, in case you didn't see them.

Typo Stuff Typo Stuff

Keep the "about" or it won't work. Remove "the whole thing."

'Keeps the sun out of one's eyes and one's head cool whenever one ventures into the savage world outside.'

You can't just switch from singular to plural like that, among other things. 'World' is sort of optional but 'outside' is usually not used as a standalone noun.

I agree. It's an awkward situation if you want to use 3rd person gender neutral singular. They and their are just wrong, however.

Alternatively:

'Keeps the sun out of the eyes and off one's head whenever venturing into the savage world outside.'

'Protects one's eyes and head from the sun whenever venturing into the savage world outside.'

Singular "they" is used very heavily in colloquial speech, as English lacks a gender neutral equivalent to he or she (one can be used similarly, but lacks an equivalent to "him" or "her," among other things), but whether that is actually grammatically correct is questionable, as it is normally considered a third person plural pronoun, to the point that some have considered treating singular "they" and plural "they" as homonyms, rather than the same word.

Either way, mixing "they" and "one" in a single sentence just reads awkwardly, as they have distinct differences in tone and usage that create the illusion of a change in subject, or possibly a reference to a group which "one" is part of, which makes no sense at all.

... And these sort of lulls are why I Omake. Unfortunately, I don't know Chisame or The Gamer well enough to write one in this case. Might be for the best anyway, last time I Omake'd I accidentally hijacked the thread. Can somebody say yikes? But seriously, the quest must go on!

And now you're spamming entirely unrelated threads on completely separate sub-forums with tales of your 'exploits,' barely even pretending to contribute to the actual topic. I realize it was a less than pleasant experience for you, but you continue to cross the lines of forum etiquette. Just let it go and stop advertising your drama. I assure you everyone, including yourself, will be much happier if you just stop writing about it.

So that I am not hoisted by my own petard, let me continue on to say that this is a brilliant quest, minuseven, with a quite interesting mechanic I have not previously encountered. Chisame's cynical nature and desire for normality also offer a distinct contrast to other examples of the genre and a delightful juxtaposition with her incurred role as the Gamer.

Cheers.

Actually, I was just keeping the thread up and around. I have made my peace with that incident, but I guess that I jumped the gun a bit on posting in this thread as support, but I get anxious when activity lulls, Y'know?
And you can allow it to go to lull, because everyone is now just waiting for the next update. Unless you have something concrete to add, do not do it. Just posting for the sake of not wanting to let the thread go to a momentary dormancy is not reason enough to do it.

How about you just stop posting altogether before the mods get fed up with your antics and start giving you infraction points.

You don't need to 'keep threads afloat', this isn't 4chan the thread won't disappear just because nobody posts in it for awhile. So just stop you're very quickly running through your reserve of good will on this site.
