Well in Raditz's defense he actually kept his wrapped around his body and out of the way, but Charud's got that meta knowledge and aimed for it anyway.
What, in canon? I always just sort of assumed it was impossible to protect it in that way for some reason, maybe having to do with the tail storing energy for the Oozaru transformation.
In this specific instance? Raditz let his guard down because he was gloating because he's an idiot.
I think that in a less cartoony universe, a transformation like this honestly should be horrifying. There's also a reason why it's weirder and more traumatic than usual that will be discussed later. But yeah, in my version, the Oozaru transformation isn't fun, and there's a reason why it's not a Saiyan's weapon of first resort.

Sweet second favorite form of the Oozaru has arrived, wonder how long and far he can burn the world.
Also Fingers Crossed Raditz doesn't bite the dust when it all settles.
Tis a shame his tail is gone though, a Oozaru rumble would have been sweet. It's for the best however considering how that Form works it wouldn't have gone well for our hero.

I'm mainly a fan of Raditz due to MasekoX's What if Raditz turned good and Dragonball R&R.

"This is a Super Saiyan." Raditz said, a flash of gold surrounding his body and lifting his magnificent mane up into a frankly ridiculous carrot top that looked a lot like that time Gon from Hunter x Hunter had activated Boyshorts mode.
"Pretty impressive huh? Now watch this; this is a super saiyan that has ascended beyond a super saiyan! Or you could just call it Super Saiyan 2." He said, shouting louder and surrounding himself in a mess of sparking lightning as his vertical mullet grew spikier.
"And this... Is to go... Even Further BEYOND! HHAAAAAHHH!" He cried, his eyebrows boiling off his face, and his hair shooting up higher and higher until it was five times the length of his body. Majin Thanos looked really impressed until his hair reached such a size and density that it's gravity overcame the electromagnetic force and collapsed into a singularity, the black hole of pure 80's hair metal imploding Raditz, the purple gum man, and the entire planet earth, making the entire adventure pointless.

Solid grammar, no dithering, no angst, immediate goal he set out to achieve. No meta knowledge makes it fun, especially if you have onde built-in freeza tech entering Knowldge.

It was great watching natasha and charid kick ass. I hope the SI gets interviewed and we see while eating, (no one knew this) then later it Clint or Natasha is watching the news it shows his and raditz conversation, the interview where he explains both what happened to his planet, and about the oozaru. Then we see them smack their face oh God fury's going to be pissed.
