[X] Show them the Geomantic Web

[X] Show them some of the historical records before the Phoenix King's establishment as head of state and records of Mehane the First-Ever queen.

I don't mind the historical record stuff, and we'd probably be able to spin that into a broader interest among historians and history-interested-mages of Saphery, but it takes too long. I'm a warmblood. If they want to understand that there's a powerful magical tradition which elves don't know we can just demonstrate it

I like either of these.

I won't go with Ask Thyriol if you want to annoy someone with questions, as I'm not sure they'll be willing to risk asking him

Hey @CuttleFish2.0 ? bit of an odd question but has yet not poped up...
What are our 'opinion' - I guess - on Ithilmar?

Was the elfs developing/mining it part of a great plan? Did the process differ from expectations? Would it be of use to our mages and priests?
Could we reverse engeneer it if we got some samples? Would we care to bother? Do we know who put it there?

Things like that.

'Historical records' would have taken things in an interesting, and frankly unexpected from my point of view, direction. But alas for routes untraveled.

Not really something you give much consideration too. Use/extraction of ithilmal seems to neither conform to nor diverge from the Great Plan so far as you know. You know what it is from third-hand reports, and a couple of events from the time Atahuinqua spent on Ulthuan playing at ambassador, but have no direct experience with it... you don't know what you don't know. Use/origin/creation are all unknowns.

Generally, unless someone is using something like warpstone in industrial quantities without proper safety/environmental protection procedures you're really not too concerned with most novel/unique/rare magical materials.
