[X] Plan Mow The Lawn
Marked as (Personal-scale) in the post now. That's fine, just make sure that whatever your final decision is, is indicated in the plan itself. Otherwise I might forget.
The two 3rd gens have a (6/7)^2 = ~5/7 = ~72% chance to finish on their own; the 5th gen there is just to cover for that last 30%. If we swapped them with 5th gens, that'd go down to (6/9)^2 = < 50%. While focusing on the Great Plan is a very Lizardman thing to do, I'm mostly just using it to soak up research dice that can't reliably be used to buy a whole tech in one go.@Mlmiii You have 2 3rd gen slann wasted on Testing the Waters DC40 as they only guarentee a 30+ roll. Theyd be better swapped to Reviewing the Sequence so they guarentee a min DC success each, and replace them with 5th gen for Testing the Waters.
Competent (for a Slann) in all the winds and High magic. He'll reach first for solutions in Ghyran before thinking outside it and can be all but guaranteed to dunk on most caster he's like to face.@CuttleFish2.0 in general, what is boss Slann's magical ability outside of Ghyran?
First, for the time being. I may revisit.@CuttleFish2.0 Does a 3rd spawning slann roll 1d100, minimum 30, or does it roll 1d70+30?
@CuttleFish2.0 Does a 3rd spawning slann roll 1d100, minimum 30, or does it roll 1d70+30?
"d100 but can't go below X" is functionally identical to "d(100-X)+X", so the way I've been reading it they'd have higher average rolls by simple process of elimination.Theres no functional difference between a 3rd and 5th gen slann beyond their base roll being unable to go lower than 30. They will both have identical chances at a DC of 31 or higher.
It is in fact, me rounding up to the minimum. Done for simplicity's sake, so I don't have to go around doing a bunch of (yes, very simple) math. Also so that the higher DC's actually impact your research rate the way I want them to."d100 but can't go below X" is functionally identical to "d(100-X)+X", so the way I've been reading it they'd have higher average rolls by simple process of elimination.
If the minimum works by rounding up to the minimum, which in hindsight is probably what actually happens given the use of the phrase "Floor at X", then you're right and it should switch. I'll check for clarification on that tomorrow, I've stayed up late enough as-is.
The vote will be locked once I'm actually ready to begin writing the update. Sometime tomorrow.
You forgot to specify a general direction/destination.
A Quieter Search: Chameleon Skinks by nature do not tend to settle in Temple-Cities. Send them out to do what your Saurus cannot, range far and see the state of the world beyond here.
Note: Must specify a general direction or destination. Locks in die and takes variable time to complete.
DC: 20. Successes Needed: 1. Limit: 1. Reward: Information on distant places. Small chance of loot. Warnings of particular long-term threats in a given direction.
Heck. I misread that option as a "find more Chameleon Skinks" since that's where the other Intrigue ones were going. I'll edit in a destination.
Probably multiple expeditions. It's a big world. After we get reorganized we may want to send out some type of scouting expedition to keep up-to-date on what has changed in the world.
