Neat!

Can I reinforce the creation of the World Tree? Like, can my action be "Make the World Tree more powerful, and maybe give it an army of protectors"?

You can coopt the action yourself if you want. the World Tree would take a Cosmic action to make, just describe the appearance and what functions you want.

And depending on how things go the World Tree could be butterflied away. After all the previous world Tree was supposed to be born of Fate and Earth. Now it is the Seas and the Earth Mother.

[] The Spark of Time Bending

The Artist saw worry and inspiration in existence of Void Dragons. They were existance of non-existance in a way, but he didn't want to just look how his family fight and die. The Maker wasn't violent, he didn't fight by himself too often and never liked it in the slightest. He already created and gave away all Smaller Sparks of Space Shaping to other siblings: Three Royal, Seven Greater, Nine Lesser. These weren't the best tools for such a problem as Void incarnate unfortunetly. However, something needed to be done and the Artisan did, what he did always - started to create new thing. It would be start of his second Masterpiece.

The Artist noticed an interesting feature of Void Dragons. Despite their destructive power and ability to corrode reality, they were still subject to time and causality. They spent time while eating something, they could not eat things in the past or retroactively and over time they would starve to death. They were still subject to the arrow of time and this was an answer. The Artisan started to forge in his inspiration - the Spark of Time Bending was created. Same in it's base as the Space Shaper, but focused on other domain - time in all its physical and metaphysical manifestations. It could manipulate clocks of objects, owned age, seen and bend causality. But as the Space Shaper these abilities were possibilities at first and needed to be revealed in action, to be learned by host. At its core the Spark of Time Bending gave only the ability to feel the cause and effect, as well as to measure time like the most accurate clock.

The Artist started to use this tool first, before it would be given away. He could heal and restore his family and their creations, if there was material or destruction was not too old. But even then some imperfect workarounds could be found. Void Dragons could be stopped and studies inside bubbles of frozen or looped time. Or they could be destroyed by multiply accelerated arrow of time until they die of starvation. Or killed by reversing time until they come back into purest form - nothing. So their nature as the embodiments of destruction and the end could be turned against them in many ways. Because they weren't True Void - they were just smaller manifestations.

However, after one accident the Artisan had to give away his new toy to his mother earlier, than planned. The Artist was so carried away by his new creation that one day he decided to go into the past to correct all the cruelty of the present before it happened. Pyralis stopped his paw right before this grave mistake, because it would be rude intervention in the domain of Fate and Tapestry of reality. So they took the Master Spark, asked the Maker to forge Lesser from it and she carefully used it to stop the Void War once and for all. One of Smaller Sparks, Royal One which contained aspects of time travel, post- and precognition was forbidden to use, before Pyralis negotiate with the Fate on the matter.

The end result of an agreement with Fate was: "Any time traveler falls under the full power of the Fate. It can decide what to do with this creature. The paradoxes caused by them will be resolved in one of the following ways: casualization closure - time loop, destruction of the time traveler, temporary or permanent stratification of the timeline, change of travel destination or complete ban for it. Any knowledge gained through True Precognition can be limited by the Fate to prevent the premature destruction of reality. For these agreements to come into force, the Fate was given the ability to see the world through the Spark of Time Bending on the level of the Artisan. This gave them a thread to control who the Shard sent to and who it should avoid."

Want to have some framework for time-travel situations for this setting, which would be reasonable and historically based. Maybe I could use Sparks as base for all magic in the world. Like, magical power is just an ability to use small grains of the Spark's abilities, which painted itself into reality. Because such an artificial reality-warping has some traces, which became part of reality and magic at some point. There is from where all spell came from. Hypothetically.

Universal, if only because it is dictating the activities and agreements of the Three.

Because as one of the THree Who Are One's Purpose is ensuring events happen sequentially their first reaction at any attempts at time travel is to destroy it utterly.

The Three will react to anything that would:
1. Breach the Borders between the Universe and the Nothingness beyond.
2. Time travel that involves going to the past in any way and interfering with the flow of time
3. Attempt to interfere in their duties in any way.

Mannan decided to remove the theme mechanic. Now every act will be boosted, but only to a certain level that gets lower with each turn. This turn acts can be boosted up to Greater level.

Grand actually.

If a vote recieves 5 votes or less it will be boosted to the next rank.

Next turn it will be 3 votes or less.

Then the one after that 1 votes only.

She has Spark Forger on her side. So maybe it would be enough to balance things.

Edit: Interesting, how Earth does look like now.

It is a pangea sized landmass that is floating over the Void, supported by a thin pillar of Adamant Stone.

It is riddled with holes, tunnels, and chambers of all sizes inhabited by Elementals of all Sorts.

Its surface is currently beneath the all encompassing embrace of the Seas, with many underground rivers and seas being fed from it.

Oh, my creations are now being tortured. This is sad. But an overreaction will just make the problem worse.

You can simply move them somewhere else if you want. Gobbus right now is unwilling to poke at any of the Primordials which is why Goblinda and the Gnomes are safe while inside the Earth.

[] The Elemental Fish of Life
From the stone of the earth a pair of fish each massive in its form are born into the sea before it recedes. They are changed to be made of flesh and bone and as they swim they leave all manner of sea and water born life though the two grand fish are destined to die for when the sea is drunk by the tree no body of water on the earth will be large enough to support them. If by this time they have met a generation of new life fish may be born with power and scale far below their parents but who will find themselves able to live in the world once the great waters are gone, and of course they can produce more fish of life but only rarely so that the world does not drown in their kind. Those left outside the seas at the end be it the two great ones or any of their children find themselves returned to stone they are made of, leaving marble corpses laying where they were left on the soul of the earth. These fish are not themselves truly sentient, but their instincts is to swim and to congregate together into as large a shole as they can make except for their first year of life where their kin fills them with great terror causing newborn fish to scatter as far as they can. Even dead the stone of the two great fish of life retain a fragment of their power should a being capable of producing life of its own take and submerge a fragment of the marble into the waters of the earth, they will find themselves with a fish of life intrinsically linked to them, with a mind only a fraction less than that of the other creature potentially find wiser than other fish, it will love its parent and seek to help them with the life it can make.

Greater act for the ability to generate a lot of different mundane species.

I think I'm happy with this one. I'll be moving forward with this one. We may not have souls defined yet, but that is tomorrow me's issue.

[] A System of Spindles, Wheels, and Spools
It emerges from the Darkness, a divine system of spindles, wheels, and spools constantly spinning Yarn from the fibers drawn from that-which-is-not. It is a gravity-powered machine, powered by the sheer grave weight of existence. It is autonomous and answers to no authority.

The Great Machine spins skeins of Mystical Yarns. The produced skeins fall off the Great Machine and find themselves dropping somewhere in the universe. The Mystical Yarns come in a variety of flavors:
- Strength: the ability to apply force to the world.
- Dexterity: the ease and precision of movement.
- Constitution: the ability to resist force applied to oneself.
- Charisma: the aesthetic ideal of form and appearance.
- Intelligence: the speed of thought and rigor of memory.
- Perception: the extent and acuity of sensibilities.

Anyone who acquires these may spool the yarn to their to acquire the attributes ascribed to the yarn. All creatures begin with zero yarn in their soul, and every yard of yarn spooled nets them an 1/10 increase of that attribute. The body will be changed to reflect the amount of yarn they have spooled.

To spool yarn into one's soul, one must perform feats of that attribute; the more of that attribute one has, the more impressive the feat has to be. The weight that lets a mouse spool ten yards of Strength does not let a dragon spool even a yard. To spool one's tenth yard, one must tenfold their feat to spool the first yard.

A skein does not hold an infinite length of yarn, and eventually, it will run out. To advance further, one must either find more skeins or refine the yarn they have. There are a few ways to refine yarn.
1. One is tightening the weave of the yarn, turning it into a thinner thread. This makes the yarn more potent, but may also make specialize the effect of the yarn (i.e. Charisma -> Intimidation).
2. Another is twining two or more yarns. This fuses the attributes of the yarns, creating a rope with a specific scope and effect. Some ropes are attributed with skills instead of qualities. End results may vary with tightness and technique even with ropes with the same component yarns.

The Mystical Yarn may also be woven into mystical clothing that enhances attributes.

eaction at any attempts at time
Good thing his mother said, it would be a horrible idea to travel into the past and stopped him before something bad could happen. On the plus side - Three got an interesting tool at their disposal and Void Dragons were stopped before things evolved into something worse. I'll try to get this Spark for the story.

[] Tree of "liberation"
A tree whose fruits "liberate" from fear, hatred, traditions, morality, joy, mercy. Bring harmony between mind and heart. Some philosophers believe that they turn the intelligent into beasts subject only to momentary whims. This is only part of the truth.

Hmm, interesting what would happen if some God Quest didn't really have any vote-depended act leveling system. Anybody could just write down thier act and maybe indicate the level of act they want (for more clarity) in this case. And it would pass as it is without need for votes from other people. Interesting, how fast it would break down into utter chaos.

Edit: I think, it would become messy after the second age.

Oh no, if the possibility is even present the Three will intervene. The moment the Spark is created the Three will chuck it into the Void along with the Great Artist for making such a thing. Though Pyralis will probably intervene.

Universal is having the Three stay their hand and actually consider dialogue in the first place al

Hmm, then it's a good thing Goblin asked for immunity, I believe. Because taking the Void in his hands can be pretty dangerous for reality, and for fate as consequence.

I want to have some more framework and reason for time-travel, because there is no such thing anywhere in God Quests. Or at least I don't remember any. So we could tell more things about time-travel setting-wise and leave it as a possibility or a last resort.

The Void moving to destroy reality is not something that will cause Fate to move.

Like I said in the past the Primordial Sun is the creator, the Fates are the Chamber, and the Void the destroyer.

Fates are not in it to preserve reality, only that reality follows a proper flow from beginning to end. So if the Void manages to get one up on everyone and destroy the Universe and including them they will accept it.

And if it wasn't obvious Gobbus is stringing the Void along. After all, Gobbus likes living and that is his number one priority, so he plans to just use the void to erode reality until he is the strongest and then backstab the void.

And like I said if you want Time Travel to be a thing it is automatically a Universal Action

[]Second Coming of the Blood God

The being that created the blood god was confused. His first creation, at the whim of a similar creature, was killed by the hands of a disgusting freak. All the plans that he built around his god collapsed in an instant. The confusion didn't last long, soon giving way to anger. After spewing countless curses at this malevolent puppeteer, the creature finally calmed down a bit and started contemplating what to do next. His mind told him to leave this business and move on to another project or to quit altogether, but the anger still burning in his chest demanded revenge. The puppeteer was out of his reach, but now his little puppet that dared to devour his firstborn was in his reach, so he began to work his revenge.

He first scanned Gobbus and found something that would make his revenge possible. An echo of his bloody god's consciousness in the blood of an impure usurper. He found a similar echo in goblins changed beyond recognition, especially in the failed apotheosis of the original goblins who did not drink the blood of Gobbus after his usurpation. Even the goblins who survived the apotheosis carried the echo of his child in themselves, as did their loyalty to him that, because of drinking the blood of Gobbus, was in the back of their thoughts. But if you fill these echoes with his power and wait for the right moment ... The creature already rubbed his hands in delight, then a big surprise awaits the little usurper.

Slowly but inexorably, the creature awakened the mind of the bloody god inside Gobbus and other goblins, hiding it from them with its power. Gobbus, immersed in his experiments, did not notice this until it was too late. During one of these experiments, Gobbus was twisted by unbearable pain coming from the depths of his soul. His blood, through which the stolen power flowed, seemed to rebel against him. In this short moment, the power that his blood gave over the goblins disappeared, and that fanatical admiration for the bloody god, which had previously been dormant in their minds and souls, came to the fore. Faithful goblins in a single impulse, obeying the will of the awakening god, sacrificed themselves to strengthen it, while the bloody god himself devoured Gobbus from the inside. Because of this, Gobbus was never able to use his powers in the fight against the devoured bloody god, who eventually ate him.

As a result, thanks to this combination and the power of devouring, the bloody god was reborn in the body of Gobbus, having usurped his powers and knowledge, coming out of this situation stronger than before. Of course, the devouring of Gobbus did not pass without a trace, the vile goblin influenced the personality of the bloody god, giving rise to a desire for tyranny in him. Returning to his former form, the Blood God brought the goblins who had sacrificed themselves back to life and made some of them women, allowing their race to reproduce.

[] Rebirth of Gnomes
The Gnomes at present at barely a race of their own - they are the children of Goblinda, and so carry her kindness, but in form they are still Goblins, creations of Gobbus. This, however, changes: the Gnomes all awake to find their bodies have been reshaped, remade into fairer forms. They now stand taller than Goblins, with pale skin and dark hair. Their noises are bulbous instead of pointed, and their eyes sparkle with joy, of which they feel deeply. Their minds become clever, instead of cunning, and their fingers are deft and quick. Even Goblinda undergoes these changes, becoming reborn as Gnominda. But the greatest change is hidden; all claim the Hated Tyrant had on the Gnomes is severed, removing any previous claim he had upon their souls and flesh.

Any ideas to add?

Maybe it should happen through generations to achieve result at some point. And this mirrored on Goblinda, becuase severed connection now linked to her.

Edit: Also, who wants to help me with this time bending venture?

[] The World Tree Eternal

The World Tree, when it forms, is blessed with an absolutely absurd amount of vitality. Even if one were to sever all of its branches and all of its roots in one stroke, it shall simply regenerate them stronger and more enduring than before, and more efficient in their purposes. Even if one were to spear a hole through its trunk large enough for an army of Goblins to walk through, it will close up and the bark will be tough enough to withstand another such attack afterwards. Its life force is so immense that it is actually tangibly able to affect other forms of life around the World Tree, bolstering them, extending their lifespans, and giving them a lesser form of its own regenerative properties and abilities to grow to match hardships. The World Tree will also be given the ability to create great arboreal titans to defend itself with against attackers, each of them mountainous and mighty enough to fight even a Stone Dragon. They are not sentient, merely extensions of the World Tree's own will. These are added onto whatever naturally occurring abilities that the World Tree will already have, and if they synergize with any of them, they will likewise enhance those abilities.

Thoughts?

[] the voids corruption

As Gobbus keeps control of the void swaying it under himself, unknown to him his body is slowly fusing with the void, his intelligence slowly weakening to hunger and violent thoughts, as the void is chaos and chaos can not be controlled only contained, and gobbus who dared think he could control it was slowly being absorbed by what he thought he had control over his mind slowly going feral as his memorys ebb away, he will not die he would become one with the void

Hmm, like what? And can they even make it out alive? The world is pretty harsh for now.

Edit: Oh, could they be sea themed or amphibians? The world is filled with water for now. Although, I am not sure for how long.

[ ] Create Wisp Weed. A black flower that grows both in reality and in the dark dream. It grows in dark spaces and is said to taste like smoke and ash. Notably it's able to enhance certain other plants by gathering discarded threads and if cooked skillfully binded together.

In short a neat plant that will work as the basis for an alchemy system. I'm going to add in other plants that when mixed with the Wisp create a potion.

Note any fate that will render Gobbus even technically dead will have to overcome his Immortality.

So Universal acts.
But he is not technically dead his heart has not stopped his mind is still there just dulled his immortality protects him from true death not corruption like I'm doing

His immortality protects him from death not harm so I think it would not be a universal act since he is not being slain or trying to become brain dead

""blessed" with an indirect form of immortality" is what gobbus has so he still gets hurt and still is damaged and he can still be brutally hurt and almost killed, he can lose his arms and legs and his immortality will only make sure he won't die of blood lose

Technically is the bare minimum.

What the corruption does is effectively make him dead which is above that line in my eyes.

So no, strip him of his power, torture him, imprison him, etc. Anything is fine but as something created with a Cosmic Act his immortality means that it would take something greater than that to overcome it.

Could you explain to me how it effectively makes him dead?

That way I can understand your thought process

I think there is room for Ship of Theseus paradox. If he changes slowly over time, than at what point it considered death? Weird stuff...

Maybe his immortality aims on preserving core concept of Gobbus - what makes him, well him and no one else. So it can be reactive, flexible and smart from the side perspective. Because this thing is more conceptual. An important aspect of his personality is a sharp mind, which means that this characteristic of him cannot be lost or its no longer be Gobbus. Which is technically death for his immortality - should be dodged. On the other hand, the Pit absorbs reality and it is strange that it does not want to absorb him and the rules of their agreement too. It was also an act of universal level act - so maybe it should be possible to nudge the Void a little towards specific outcome.

Edit: Sometimes destruction is inevitable and nothing can work out well enough to help... But even then, if it works like Path to Victory type protection, than Gobbus will not ever make decisions that will lead him to a situation of inevitable death

So your saying that if the corruption keeps his main abilities and personality traits then it's fine so what if the corruption makes him subservient to the void would that not be considered killing him

If fate is effectively death be it physical or mental or personality or anything like then it has to overcome his immortality.

I think there is room for Ship of Theseus paradox. If he changes slowly over time, than at what point it considered death? Weird stuff...

Effectively if one can look at Gobbus and say that this is Grobbus as he was conceptualized and created then it would not trigger his immortality. He can be changed but so long as the core characteristics of what was Gobbus.

And the Pit can understand patience, it just so happens to be soo hungry that thinking like that for long is difficult and can see the benefits of having someone act as to direct it while it wallows in his hunger. Gobbus also has the dual benefits of being immune to the Void's touch. So the Void actually having influence over him would be a breach. Remember that I summarized the words of the bargain but his first wish was total knowledge of the workings of reality and the events going on in the universe. So he formulated his immunity bargain in such a way that none can directly affect him.

So the only way the Void can kill Gobbus is if the Three no longer hold supremacy over the Universe.

So your saying that if the corruption keeps his main abilities and personality traits then it's fine so what if the corruption makes him subservient to the void would that not be considered killing him

Yes. Gobbus the demon King and Gobbus the slave are still the same people.

makes him subservient to the void would that not be considered killing him
It technically could. He is definitely selfish and being himself would never submit to someone else voluntarily. Only if they had the leverage of pressure, the ability to force him to make such a decision on his own. But this is just my understanding.

So the only way the Void can kill Gobbus is if the Three no longer hold supremacy over the Universe.
Can he himself make such a decision, succumbing to delusion? To have knowledge does not mean to be omniscient. And being omniscient does not mean having the will and ability to use knowledge correctly.
This option seems very unlikely to me.
