Gained Monster 2
You push as much as you can into Protection, the better you might ward your people and keep them safe, but the bulk of your attention grows to strengthening your control over monsters. You find yourself gaining a greater understanding of them, of how they move and fight, of the twisted motivations in their not-minds.
Oddly, you also realize that monster does not necessarily mean evil, just dangerous and inhuman.
Greater understanding of monsters, increased power when commanding or controlling monsters. Possibility of modifying them needs ??
Protect From Monsters – Thresholds at 1, 2, 4. 2 successes
You cast your power into protecting from monsters, but quickly run into a problem – they have no way to protect themselves, except for simple sticks and sharpened metal poles, except for a single red axe that exudes a mist around its head that tears through even the toughest hide like it is just more air.
They fight the monsters anyway, but their efforts are weak, futile. And there is no way you can hide them, no shelter you can reinforce, just the endless tunnels.
So as much as it angers you, you first turn your attention to the caves around them, trying to shape paths that will lead the monsters away, and when that fails you turn your power on the monsters themselves. Whenever they begin to approach your people, the wretched things find themselves seized by fear, and though many push through it, many more turn away.
Protect From Hunger – Thresholds at 1, 2. 2 successes
You could fill your people's bellies directly, or guide them to sources of food, but your indignation is too great for such things. You will make these you-damned caves provide for your people if it's the last thing you do!
It is with sound and fury you wrap tendrils of power and divine will around the food-makers and pull. The caverns shift and tremble, their lights and strange machinery shifting, dying and resurrecting themselves. Your people pray to you in fear of a collapse or Behemoth or some other great calamity. But they have nothing to fear.
Some parts resist, for you are not strong enough to compel them. But one food-maker near your people is bent by your will, and for the rest of the season it provides plenty of food, enough that their bellies are never empty, enough that they can build up a small surplus (only enough for them to carry).
Random Events – 12
As your people carefully ranged out from the food dispenser they had made a temporary altar, searching for sources of water and material, they had a stroke of good luck and happened upon a broken machine which spilled out wires and shards of metal. With some difficulty, these shards were tied with wire to wooden poles, making broader and sharper points.
