[X] Ask Ginga about Korosh.
… The problem with having a sister who is a magician and usually has a good idea of what's going on anyway is that you can't ask yourself, 'What would Remilia do?' because she knows so much more than you would. Fortunately, you have a secret plan for learning things, so you send out your clones to search the building for Ginga. No sense wasting your time running around looking for her if she isn't even in the building. You find her quickly, however, and set off toward the cafeteria where she's sitting at a table with the prisoners. You consider your options as you walk to the cafeteria, but when you get there you're no closer to finding a good way to approach the situation than when you started. Oh, well … they look up when you walk in. Nove stiffens, and Wendi looks at her nervously, but Ginga looks almost relieved at your approach.
"Flandre," she says, nodding in greeting. "Is there something I can help you with?" You stand next to the table and tap your fingers on it for a moment before shrugging.
"Do you know anything about a man named Korosh Manta?" Ginga's appreciative smile locks in place, then she slowly slumps forward and puts her hands over her face. Wendi cringes.
"I'm sorry! I didn't think she knew how to use the TV!" Cinque's look is almost as piercing as yours.
"Wendi!" The red-head pales and her mouth works uselessly for a few seconds, but Ginga shakes herself and looks up at you before you can decide what to do about the girl.
"Korosh Manta is … kind of a nuisance. The sort of person who wouldn't be able to do what he does if he were really correct about how he thinks the Bureau works. Most people in the Bureau don't like him, to say the least." Cinque clears her throat.
"Most people in the known worlds don't seem to take him terribly seriously, either. The Doctor considered using him, but it was decided that he wouldn't help enough to make contacting him and keeping him up to date on useful information worthwhile." You frown and cock your head to the side.
"So he's an arrogant brat with an overinflated sense of his own worth?" Ginga's mouth twists and she takes a moment to consider her response.
"Not … not really. He does have a quite large viewership, insofar as that can be tracked, and it isn't as if no one pays attention to him. Certainly, recent events have made him much more well-known than he had been." Nove coughs and stands up hurriedly.
"Sorry, I gotta … go do something." Cinque starts to raise her hand and call her sister back, but sighs and shakes her head when Wendi takes off after Nove. You watch them leave, then shrug and take Wendi's spot, giving Cinque a questioning look.
"I'll be fine if you want to talk with them," Ginga says, but the one-eyed girl shakes her head. "… Alright. Anyway, Manta is persistent and actually pretty clever, and he doesn't just attack the Bureau." She frowns, considering her next words.
"And is he really interested in me? And why?" Ginga shrugs.
"No clue. He does seem to want to know more about you - he's been digging up everything he can, and seems to have started shortly after you fought the vampire in the hospital - but he's always given evasive, and occasionally contradictory, answers when asked." She sighs. "You want to take him up on his offer for an interview?" You shrug.
"I mean, I'm not staying here very long, so it's not like I need to worry about people's perceptions of me. And frankly, given how much he benefits from the Bureau's activities, the fact that he attacks it seems hypocritical. So apart from interest, there's not a lot of reason for me to see him. Of course, if he is interesting, then I'd really like to meet him." Ginga sighs and stares at the middle of the table.
"… His older interviews should be accessible to the Bureau database, right?" You and Ginga both look at Cinque.
"… Ye~es … I'm not sure how interesting they are, and I haven't seen most of them, but if you want to, I can get things set up so you can watch them here." You puff out your cheeks and lean forward, resting your chin on your fists. It's not like you have anything to do today … well, nothing planned, anyway. Plenty of things you could do, really. See if anyone wants to start playing a game. Question Nove about whatever she isn't telling you. Go to sleep.
