[X] Let Ilya sleep in your room.
- [X] Then go see Deis - you do owe her food, apparently.
The music fades away as your clones finish, and you carefully drift toward the door. You'll let Ilya sleep in your room once again - it's not that you don't want her to get used to her own room, but she should get some more rest, free from worry, and if you try to take her upstairs you'll probably end up waking her. So you slip into your room and gently deposit her in your bed, making sure she's nicely tucked in and the lights are bright enough that she'll be able to see when she wakes, but not so bright as to wake her prematurely. And then you sit by her side for a few more minutes, making sure she's comfortable. Eventually you slip back out and peek through Satsuki's open door - she's sitting at her desk, pencil in hand. Is she working on her list, or something else? You leave her to her business … you practically dismissed her for the night, anyway. Your clones flit through the library, looking for Deis; before you see her, however, you have another errand to run.
"Sella." The homunculus twitches around as you call her name, eyes searching expectantly - and then narrowing suspiciously when she doesn't find what she's looking for.
"Lady Flandre, where is Lady Illyasviel?" You cock your head ever so slightly to the side.
"She's asleep in my room," you begin, and Sella visibly relaxes. "Before I let you go see her, however, I should let you know about the suite. If you leave the library and take the first left, there should be a staircase; take it up one floor and you'll be there. There is an entrance in the library through a workroom near my suite, but I think Ilya needs to be awake to key it open." Sella stares at you.
"A … suite?" You hold back a smile and nod.
"Yes, a small group of rooms for someone to live in. So Ilya doesn't have to sleep in my room or out here and can have a place of her own to feel comfortable in." Sella's face reddens slightly and you let out a small smile. "I would have taken her up, but I thought it would be better if she got some more sleep and didn't want to wake her up." Sella pauses, thinking about something, and slowly nods, a shadow of a smile gracing her own expression.
"Yes, thank you, Lady Flandre. That was very thoughtful of you." She and Leysritt both bow deeply.
"Of course. But now, I have to go find Deis, so I'm not sure when I'll be free to see Ilya again. If you can't find me, try the kitchen or dining room." Sella nods.
"Of course, Lady Flandre. Good luck." You wave and, after quickly checking with your clones, start off for an area they haven't explored yet. Of course, a few minutes later, one of them notices her going through books in an aisle near the front of the library. You head over, dismissing your clones before floating silently down to her. You poke her right shoulderblade.
"Boo!" You don't get quite the response you were hoping for, but she does drop the book she was carrying and gives you a sharp look that you shrug off with a stuck-out tongue.
"Hmph." She leans over to pick up the book and brushes it off before placing it on the shelf. "Fun time is over already?" You smirk and play with Deis's hair. It's so long!
"Well, Ilya's asleep, and a little bat reminded me that I might want to see if you're hungry. But if you're bu-!" A burst of wind pushes you into her and she grips your shoulders tightly, eyes wide with excitement.
"Really? You really mean it? You'll feed me tasty and delicious and wonderful food that you made yourself, and maybe grapes, too? Until I'm nice and plump and want to sleep for a week? And you'll wear a cute little maid's outfit?" You push her hands away and clear your throat, then reorient yourself so you're right-side-up.
"I don't have a maid outfit -"
"Remilia has one." You stare at Deis, irritated by the interruption and a little surprised that Remilia would wear a maid outfit for anyone, and after a moment her excited expression fades a little. "Uh, sorry." She doesn't look particularly sorry, but you let her go.
"… I don't have a maid outfit, and what I make for you is going to depend on what we have. But since I'll be leaving for Mid-Childa tonight, I want to make sure I'm not leaving anything important unfinished. So - if you're ready?" She squeals happily - a rather unnerving sound, coming from her, just like it would be disturbing coming from Patchouli - and claps her hands, then spins and pulls you with her toward the main corridor. "What about Ershin?" You didn't see the little suit of armor, but you have trouble believing it would be far from its master ….
"Resting; since I'm no longer stuck in there, there's no permanent power source. I have to recharge it every so often, although Patchouli said something about being able to make it draw in ambient energy. Not sure about that, but we'll figure something out." Yeah, you're not sure about making something designed to block magical effects use ambient magic as a power source, either. You slip forward a little and wrap your arms around Deis's waist, lifting her off the ground and flying for the stairs. She sighs and relaxes, not quite going limp, and a brisk wind blows along with you for a while. Unfortunately, it doesn't really do anything to help you, and Deis snaps her fingers unhappily. Still, it's not like it takes you a long time to reach the dining room - or the kitchen, even after you set down Deis and walk through the servants' hallway. "You're sure you don't have a cute little maid's outfit?" You sigh at her hopeful question and nod.
"I'm quite sure I don't have one. Sorry." She snaps her fingers again and sighs loudly. A little corner of your mind wonders what your sister's outfit looked like, that Deis is so unhappy to hear that you don't have one, but it's entirely possible that she simply tricked Deis into thinking she was wearing something that didn't actually exist, so it's probably not worth worrying over. "So … did you have anything in particular you wanted?" Deis makes a thoughtful sound as she rubs her hands together, and you poke your head into the pantry. It's not as spacious as you'd thought … of course, Sakuya does go shopping fairly frequently, so it doesn't need to hold a year's worth of supplies.
"Dumplings. Omelettes. Mm. Chicken. Those … those little bread slices with stuff on them. Eggs. Biscuits. Dumplings." You pause and poke your head out of the pantry.
"The stuff I made for the meeting at Caster's temple?" Deis reddens a little and nods. Well, it's not so bad - those don't take too long to make, and what you saw of her plates had more … prepared food that takes more work. And since this is a different body, maybe she wants to make sure that things taste the same. You pop back into the pantry and your clones begin taking things out. It's a good thing you like cooking ….
"So have you considered the problem that little party is going to cause?" You cock your head to the side at Deis's question. It's probably almost morning by now, but somehow Deis has managed to keep down everything you've given her. Maybe her body does something to food, like how your body processes blood so quickly? "I mean, you told people that Ilya and I are from the - the outside world, I think it was? And now you've not only got her not-quite-identical twin, but you want to invite that girl's nearly-identical other self, along with Tohsaka, and your friend from Mid-Childa. People aren't going to believe that they're all from the outside world." You frown; you hadn't considered that, and you're rather glad that Deis did. Of course, Remilia probably has thought of it, and you're pretty sure that Aya already suspects that something else is happening. And Yukari probably does, too, which might explain why she's so interested in Ilya. You shake your head.
"It shouldn't be a problem," you say, and Deis gives you a look.
"Aren't you vampires supposed to be super honorable and truthful and all that?" You laugh and shake your head.
"No, no! That's not it at all! Vampires don't break their word - contracts and the like. But we can lie and deceive and trick and do whatever we want." Deis nods and stuffs another dumpling in her mouth before finally sighing contentedly and leaning back.
"Ohh! So wonderful. You are wonderful. You are wasted, hiding away in a basement like you do. And that's not just my stomach talking, Flan. Everyone has sore points they don't want to discuss, and you're actually very good at controlling yourself." Your cheer fades; Deis hasn't seen you get really upset, after all, hasn't seen how you just ruin things for your sister. It'll happen again, sooner or later, if you don't stay out of the way. Still … if you don't at least humor her, she'll just make you more irritated.
"… Maybe. I'll be spending a few months away, so - I guess I'll see how that works out for me." Deis eyes you for a moment before smiling and nodding.
