Musical Therapy
[X] Play some music for her.

Ilya sobs into your shoulder, and you stroke her head and rock side to side, humming softly. After a couple minutes, you send out your clones to find out where you are, exactly - but it turns out that you're not even a stone's throw from your suite. Thoughtful on Remilia's part. You float into the air slightly, still rocking gently, and slip through the door. Ilya's sobs die away and she pulls her face away from your shoulder.

"Flan?" Her voice is soft and weak, almost inaudible, but you smile and carefully squeeze her in a tighter hug.

"You don't mind if I play a bit of music, do you?" After a moment she shakes her head, and you continue toward your suite. One of your clones returns with a damp washcloth, and you pause to let it wipe Ilya's face clean; she curls in, embarrassed, but you nuzzle her as you continue to the music room. Another clone moves the bench closer to your chosen piano, a gracefully massive behemoth carved almost entirely out of ivory. It's sound usually seems off … but at the same time, it always sounds gentle. Your final clone sits at it, ready to play. Ilya looks up when you settle on the bench.

"Flan … I'm - I'm sorry. It's just … I …." She rubs her eyes again, fighting back tears, and you pull her closer as your clone begins playing a lullaby.

"I'm really glad that my sister finished it before I left, especially since you should have access to the outside. Not that I don't want you to feel like you can't use my room, if you want, but everyone should have their own place, right? And I'm really, really glad for what she said at the end." Ilya tries to duck her head, but you quickly move your hand under her chin and keep her looking at you. "She called you my friend, and she says that a friend is someone you want to be family." Ilya's face reddens and tears fill her eyes. You hug her close and resume your gentle rocking. She sits up after a few more minutes, but keeps looking down.

"Flan …. I - all this. For me." She blinks back tears, shakes her head. I'm … my arm and leg, a wonderful room. Why? I'm … I don't have long to live, so it's …." You cluck your tongue and shift her position so she can look at you more easily.

"In the first place, Ilya, that doesn't matter. I want you to be comfortable and happy, and if that means that you get your own suite, tailored for you as best as we can manage it, then you get your own suite. Whether you're an effectively immortal magician or someone who's going to die in a week doesn't matter. In the second place, Ilya, you're wrong. Oh, sure, if you don't want to take advantage of magic that extends your life, you'll die long before I will, barring violence - but you aren't going to die in a few weeks or months. Maybe Remilia and Patchouli won't be able to give you a natural human's full life expectancy, but I think they can, at least." Your stern expression softens and you nuzzle her cheek again. "I know that all the focus has been on your arm and leg, but that doesn't mean they've forgotten about your lifespan. - Well, maybe Patchouli has, because she's a silly magician with too many things to do right now, but my sister hasn't." Far from being reassured, though, Ilya seems even more dejected, and shakes her head numbly.

"I … how can I? I can't … repay …." She skips over most of her thoughts, but you think you get the gist of it. Your clone stops playing lullabies and begins playing waltzes, and another clone sits at another piano, echoing the first's playing a half-beat behind. You gently tap Ilya's nose.

"Now, now - we've established that we're friends, right? And friends are all but family. And family is family - so you don't have to worry about things like debt or repayment. And if you do want to - well then, I guess you'll just have to work hard and live for a long, long time so you can figure out how to repay us!" You smile broadly, and Ilya finally smiles as well. You hug her close once more. "And besides, you're my friend, Ilya - that's repayment for all we're doing and so much more. I don't have many friends, after all." Ilya nods against your shoulder, then pulls out of the hug, her smile happier than it was just a few seconds ago.

"Yeah. You're … you're my only friend, I think. Berserker, and Sella and Leys …." She trails off, but you understand what she means. Berserker can't be a friend, really, and Sella and Leysritt are servants. She's probably as lonely as you were - lonelier.

"Then we're both new at this! So if either one of us missteps, the other has to make sure she doesn't fall down, right?" Ilya laughs a little, then her eyes widen as you abruptly rise into the air with her. "Come on, let's dance!" Her arm tightens around your neck as you break into the quickly-spinning waltz, supporting her with your wings while hugging her close. "By the time I get back from Mid-Childa, you're going to have learned how to fly, right?" Ilya giggles, head shaking delightedly.

"Alright, alright!" You grin and continue the swirling dance.

It's not long until you have to stop, however - yawning in the middle of a dance just is not done, and you return to the bench. Your clones shift to more soothing music, and you let Ilya lean against you. She relaxes … and a few minutes later, falls asleep. You're just not sure if she'd be comfortable sleeping in her new room already ….

What do you do?

She's seen her room; Time for the feedback. A 6 star room deserves good reception and appreciation of the fact.

Right, so it's all but set in stone that Ilya is going to go to the 4th Grail War and meet her parents, courtesy of Remilia taking her. I have two questions. First (all but foregone), would people be interested in that as an omake? Second, does anyone have a particular viewpoint they would like said omake to focus on? It's probably going to be narration focused on Remilia/Ilya, but I've been thinking of some other ways of doing it.

This isn't a formal vote, by the way - I'm just gauging interest and desire.

Feeding Deis

The music fades away as your clones finish, and you carefully drift toward the door. You'll let Ilya sleep in your room once again - it's not that you don't want her to get used to her own room, but she should get some more rest, free from worry, and if you try to take her upstairs you'll probably end up waking her. So you slip into your room and gently deposit her in your bed, making sure she's nicely tucked in and the lights are bright enough that she'll be able to see when she wakes, but not so bright as to wake her prematurely. And then you sit by her side for a few more minutes, making sure she's comfortable. Eventually you slip back out and peek through Satsuki's open door - she's sitting at her desk, pencil in hand. Is she working on her list, or something else? You leave her to her business … you practically dismissed her for the night, anyway. Your clones flit through the library, looking for Deis; before you see her, however, you have another errand to run.

"Sella." The homunculus twitches around as you call her name, eyes searching expectantly - and then narrowing suspiciously when she doesn't find what she's looking for.

"Lady Flandre, where is Lady Illyasviel?" You cock your head ever so slightly to the side.

"She's asleep in my room," you begin, and Sella visibly relaxes. "Before I let you go see her, however, I should let you know about the suite. If you leave the library and take the first left, there should be a staircase; take it up one floor and you'll be there. There is an entrance in the library through a workroom near my suite, but I think Ilya needs to be awake to key it open." Sella stares at you.

"A … suite?" You hold back a smile and nod.

"Yes, a small group of rooms for someone to live in. So Ilya doesn't have to sleep in my room or out here and can have a place of her own to feel comfortable in." Sella's face reddens slightly and you let out a small smile. "I would have taken her up, but I thought it would be better if she got some more sleep and didn't want to wake her up." Sella pauses, thinking about something, and slowly nods, a shadow of a smile gracing her own expression.

"Yes, thank you, Lady Flandre. That was very thoughtful of you." She and Leysritt both bow deeply.

"Of course. But now, I have to go find Deis, so I'm not sure when I'll be free to see Ilya again. If you can't find me, try the kitchen or dining room." Sella nods.

"Of course, Lady Flandre. Good luck." You wave and, after quickly checking with your clones, start off for an area they haven't explored yet. Of course, a few minutes later, one of them notices her going through books in an aisle near the front of the library. You head over, dismissing your clones before floating silently down to her. You poke her right shoulderblade.

"Boo!" You don't get quite the response you were hoping for, but she does drop the book she was carrying and gives you a sharp look that you shrug off with a stuck-out tongue.

"Hmph." She leans over to pick up the book and brushes it off before placing it on the shelf. "Fun time is over already?" You smirk and play with Deis's hair. It's so long!

"Well, Ilya's asleep, and a little bat reminded me that I might want to see if you're hungry. But if you're bu-!" A burst of wind pushes you into her and she grips your shoulders tightly, eyes wide with excitement.

"Really? You really mean it? You'll feed me tasty and delicious and wonderful food that you made yourself, and maybe grapes, too? Until I'm nice and plump and want to sleep for a week? And you'll wear a cute little maid's outfit?" You push her hands away and clear your throat, then reorient yourself so you're right-side-up.

"I don't have a maid outfit -"

"Remilia has one." You stare at Deis, irritated by the interruption and a little surprised that Remilia would wear a maid outfit for anyone, and after a moment her excited expression fades a little. "Uh, sorry." She doesn't look particularly sorry, but you let her go.

"… I don't have a maid outfit, and what I make for you is going to depend on what we have. But since I'll be leaving for Mid-Childa tonight, I want to make sure I'm not leaving anything important unfinished. So - if you're ready?" She squeals happily - a rather unnerving sound, coming from her, just like it would be disturbing coming from Patchouli - and claps her hands, then spins and pulls you with her toward the main corridor. "What about Ershin?" You didn't see the little suit of armor, but you have trouble believing it would be far from its master ….

"Resting; since I'm no longer stuck in there, there's no permanent power source. I have to recharge it every so often, although Patchouli said something about being able to make it draw in ambient energy. Not sure about that, but we'll figure something out." Yeah, you're not sure about making something designed to block magical effects use ambient magic as a power source, either. You slip forward a little and wrap your arms around Deis's waist, lifting her off the ground and flying for the stairs. She sighs and relaxes, not quite going limp, and a brisk wind blows along with you for a while. Unfortunately, it doesn't really do anything to help you, and Deis snaps her fingers unhappily. Still, it's not like it takes you a long time to reach the dining room - or the kitchen, even after you set down Deis and walk through the servants' hallway. "You're sure you don't have a cute little maid's outfit?" You sigh at her hopeful question and nod.

"I'm quite sure I don't have one. Sorry." She snaps her fingers again and sighs loudly. A little corner of your mind wonders what your sister's outfit looked like, that Deis is so unhappy to hear that you don't have one, but it's entirely possible that she simply tricked Deis into thinking she was wearing something that didn't actually exist, so it's probably not worth worrying over. "So … did you have anything in particular you wanted?" Deis makes a thoughtful sound as she rubs her hands together, and you poke your head into the pantry. It's not as spacious as you'd thought … of course, Sakuya does go shopping fairly frequently, so it doesn't need to hold a year's worth of supplies.

"Dumplings. Omelettes. Mm. Chicken. Those … those little bread slices with stuff on them. Eggs. Biscuits. Dumplings." You pause and poke your head out of the pantry.

"The stuff I made for the meeting at Caster's temple?" Deis reddens a little and nods. Well, it's not so bad - those don't take too long to make, and what you saw of her plates had more … prepared food that takes more work. And since this is a different body, maybe she wants to make sure that things taste the same. You pop back into the pantry and your clones begin taking things out. It's a good thing you like cooking ….

"So have you considered the problem that little party is going to cause?" You cock your head to the side at Deis's question. It's probably almost morning by now, but somehow Deis has managed to keep down everything you've given her. Maybe her body does something to food, like how your body processes blood so quickly? "I mean, you told people that Ilya and I are from the - the outside world, I think it was? And now you've not only got her not-quite-identical twin, but you want to invite that girl's nearly-identical other self, along with Tohsaka, and your friend from Mid-Childa. People aren't going to believe that they're all from the outside world." You frown; you hadn't considered that, and you're rather glad that Deis did. Of course, Remilia probably has thought of it, and you're pretty sure that Aya already suspects that something else is happening. And Yukari probably does, too, which might explain why she's so interested in Ilya. You shake your head.

"It shouldn't be a problem," you say, and Deis gives you a look.

"Aren't you vampires supposed to be super honorable and truthful and all that?" You laugh and shake your head.

"No, no! That's not it at all! Vampires don't break their word - contracts and the like. But we can lie and deceive and trick and do whatever we want." Deis nods and stuffs another dumpling in her mouth before finally sighing contentedly and leaning back.

"Ohh! So wonderful. You are wonderful. You are wasted, hiding away in a basement like you do. And that's not just my stomach talking, Flan. Everyone has sore points they don't want to discuss, and you're actually very good at controlling yourself." Your cheer fades; Deis hasn't seen you get really upset, after all, hasn't seen how you just ruin things for your sister. It'll happen again, sooner or later, if you don't stay out of the way. Still … if you don't at least humor her, she'll just make you more irritated.

"… Maybe. I'll be spending a few months away, so - I guess I'll see how that works out for me." Deis eyes you for a moment before smiling and nodding.

What do you do?

[ ] See if you can catch Satsuki before she goes to sleep for the day, in case she has any questions.

[ ] See if Ilya is awake yet.
- [ ] You're in the kitchen right now, might as well bring food.

[ ] Take a nap.

All aboard the bandwagon I guess.

Hm... I forget... In this body, does Deis have a snake tail or legs? It will help me visualize the scene.

Oh god no we're doing this now. I want to see Remi's face.

Or Flan's face, when Remi reveals that she had one made for her too.

Plus, both Deis AND Ilya's maid switches flipping on simultaneously. Let's do it.

I would normally vote for a more serious option, but.....

This can't go wrong.
