On the concept of voting, I agree with Veekie here.

[X] Take a walk outside.
-[X] Make that a flight.

If we look around more it the office, With the state of anger we're in now it's gonna look less like a look around and more like trashing the place for answers.

Basically, if we don't take a turn to calm down first we're just gonna thrash everything by accident. I say this from previous encounters on this thread.

The trouble with that is what happened to Sakura the last time. If Flan kills Gilgamesh, Iris is going to start grailing really fast. What she'd have to do is beeline for the cavern under Ryudo Temple and blow up the Greater Grail again, before it has a chance to really spool up. If she does that, though, she's instantly on EVERYONE'S shit-list.

Not on everyone's. Caster and his Master doesn't care about the war, not really. They would need to secure new source of prana for Caster though. Waver will be more confused than anything and Kariya will attack Zouken when his chance to buy out Sakura is gone (he WILL hate Flandre though). But Einzberns and Melloys will hate Flandre for their opportunities gone. Not sure about Tohsaka - the Church wants the Grail gone, so Risei will be secretly happy about such outcome but Rin's father will not, probably. Kirei on the other hand will not really care ....

So, before everyone starts talking about their plans for Zero, I'm just gonna say something (also, because I'm tired :p).

You are going to have to put in some work if you want Remilia on your side. Without a write-in, there is going to be a zero percent chance that she'll let Flan use a portal on her own, and maybe a 40% chance that she'll let Flan go with Patchouli (following her rules, of course). And Remilia will be keeping in mind not only the arguments made, but how Flan has acted throughout the Quest.

So if you want Flan to join Ilya/do her own thing, start thinking about what you're going to want to say. Early warning on this because two days is probably a bit too short a time to get a good vote set up.

Simplest argument is that she's the Heavy for any Gilgamesh related concerns...unless Remilia has a working strategy there

Wow, I can really understand why Flandre would be pissed. I mean first Patchouli provokes Flandre by pointing out that she can't even maintain a relationship with her sister, which is, as I see it, a really sore topic for Flandre, and then she follows that up by treating her like an animal with her demands, calling Flandre reckless, aggressive and shortsighted in an insulting way and now tries to dismiss her like she is a servant at her beck and call to really drive home how powerless she is.
I mean fuck, Flandre can't stand Patchouli either, but at least she tries to treat her with basic respect.
And now I'm tempted to make a clone as a decoy go invisible and sneak through the portal with Patchouli just to piss her off and show her that Flandre doesn't need her permission to go with her friend.

Patchouli is lashing out, in part I think because she can't find a solution.

She should aim her portal before the war even started. Irriasviel had doubts about the war and if they played it right - convince Irri Illya IS an alternate to her daughter, the war wouldn't even start.

Patchouli, you dork! You have freaking Heracles and a vampire embodiment of destruction on your disposal! You can even win the war, if you so wish, although that's not the goal here. Funnily, with Flandre working with Heracles, the main danger for them is Iskander and his hero army reality marble. It took use of Enuma Elish to destroy the army. Iskander is no match for Gilgamesh - who is vulnerable to assassin-like tactic combo Flandre-Illya can use against him (Or just steal the Zero Berserker from Kariya, Lancelot can neutralise Gil's Gate of Babylon). Heracles can distract Gil and Flandre can snipe him from the shadows - nothing glorious but it will work.

To stop the war entirely, using Flandre to just blow up the Greater Grail itself would work, especially if they made sure no one learns who did it before their group leave - there is no way the magi can follow them to take revenge against Flandre for stomping out their precious toy, is it?

That's also my impression, but it doesn't make her actions hurt any less or makes them less insulting. I mean I can understand it happen once with her calling into question Flandre's judgment on relationships and let it slide, but the stuff she said and did this update is just too much to just accept without her even trying to apologize for lashing out.

Maybe calling her out on lashing out like an immature child would work. I mean this is partly because I'm also angry at Patchouli's treatment of Flandre, but also because calming down will only work so much if Flandre is going to be reminded of this every time Ilya visiting her parents comes up. It's also blatantly unfair to lash out at Flandre and I'm against just acting as if this was acceptable behavior.

It wouldn't because they're not human its in their nature to do so.

Like, Flandre acts civilized and all that but Ilya had never seen Flandre in the "slaughtered an entire district while laughing" mode. Patchouli and Remilia have. Thats why they are opposed to taking Flan along, because even if she's an ace usable against Gilgamesh, it's a tossup whether Flan could avoid killing Kiritsugu and Irisviel as collateral damage in front of Ilya.

And they can't tell Flan this because that WOULD have her flip out.

What wouldn't? It wouldn't be unfair to lash out on Flandre for reasons that are not really related to her (Patchouli not being sure how to handle the situation even without Flandre being involved), because they are not human?

And when did we start to make this about Flandre being allowed to come with them? I was only talking about the way Patchouli treated her, not if Flandre should be allowed to accompany Ilya when she is visiting her parents. There are ways to say what she did without being flat out (or at least being a lot less) insulting and provoking.

Most important is that you need to thinks and maybe find a way to get the best resolution possible. If not, talk to Ilya about what could happen if she find her parents and see she ready for it and maybe help thinks out a way where she could save them without her parents suffer in any way. If not, find your sister when she back and discuss with her. You not giving up without a fight.

Abruptly furious, you simply spin on your heel and stomp away from the magician and her familiar, throwing yourself forward into the air once you reach the end of the platform. You zoom through the library toward the stairs, then up them and down the hallway. Not even bothering to land, you simply slam yourself into the door and smash it open. Meiling is gone from her post already … how strange, for a mansion owned by a vampire, that it still goes quiet at night, instead of lighting up with activity as you'd expect. You consider heading back to the forest and trying to find something to fight you, but simply walking around on the ground isn't likely to get you very far. No, you want something a bit stronger … and that means flying. Not to mention the fact that you'll be able to fly just a bit faster than you can walk.

Once you're past the gate you hurtle straight up. Angry as you are, there are still things you shouldn't do, like buzz around Youkai Mountain like a hornet, or make passes over the Human Village. Nothing that would cause problems or start an incident. Even if it would be more fun to see how many tengu you can take down before they run away. Picking a direction doesn't take long, of course, and then you're flying through the air, ponytail whipping behind you … fruitlessly. Long minutes pass as you fly high and low, buzzing over the trees of a forest or flying high into the sky. Nothing comes out to play. It's as though all of Gensokyo is sleeping, despite night being youkai time – when you look around, you can't even see any evidence of activity.

This isn't what you wanted – you wanted something to clear your head, not a riddle! Snarling almost silently, you fly up and then just head straight in one direction, barely paying attention to where you go. All you know for sure is that you're quickly flying over mountains, the forests and fields of Gensokyo far away as the air screams around you. You fly on and on, expecting to slam into the Barrier any moment now … but when you finally slow to a halt, hands clenching in frustration, it's like you never moved. There are mountains below you, and before you, but when you turn around, Gensokyo is before you. If you weren't so irritated, maybe you'd be amused. But you are angry, furious with Patchouli for being an uppity, spiteful hag. You tremble angrily and shut your eyes, wishing that Remilia were here. Sure, she takes Patchouli's side far too often, but she understands you. Slowly, you open your eyes and try to calm down. You look down at Gensokyo, then turn back to the mountains ….

You focus on the new thing – a youkai! It's just a single youkai, floating in the air, turned so that she can keep an eye on you without looking directly at you. A savage grin splits your face as something you can vent on appears … and then you actually look at the youkai. Long, pale dress with a darker front; 'two-tailed' hat; hands held inside voluminous sleeves; and, of course, the nine fluffy tails that wave behind her, evidence of her nervousness. Ran Yakumo. Your eyes narrow. The first thing that crosses your mind – that Patchouli is working with Yukari – is discarded almost instantly. There are better ways for those two to work together to deal with you for this to be a coordinated plan. On the other hand … the hag's power and their sorceries would nicely explain why, in practically-crowded Gensokyo, you managed to fly about without running into anyone. Your fingers curl into claws and your faded grin changes to a snarl.

Wouldn't she be a nice distraction? Yes, yes … at least until you managed to catch her, and then the little fox would be in trouble, she would. You drift sideways, moving so she has to see you, but she simply keeps turning slightly, avoiding meeting you directly. Your cooling temper flares again.

Correct. Youkai lash out. It's their nature.
That's pretty much what the Spell Card rules are about, a contained avenue for them to do so without destroying everything in the process.

They are not people. They look it, they talk like people, but at the core it's not a person, it's a literal walking nightmare made flesh under the mask of humanity.

Sounds like Flan ran into what Marisa did. The Hakurei Barrier isn't a wall, it's just that space extends infinitely when you try to go through it, so you end up just flying straight on forever but don't get anywhere. Ran isn't directly at fault here.

That said.

[Q] Touch fluffy tail.

...What? It's Ran! Somebody's gotta vote for it.

Ugh, with Yakumos' eyes on Flan, it'd be a horrible idea to try anything. Especially when Patchy will just take this as vindication, then tattle to Remilia, then both of them will be disappointed in Flan.

Well, Patchy's already mad at Flan, so that's unavoidable. But we've been doing so well! Flandre can't risk disappointing Remilia now!
There's not really any good thing to do right now, the most responsible thing to do is to not lash out. It'll also be the best way to spite Patchy by proving her wrong, too. That'll show her!

...But man, if only Remilia were here...

Uh...Flan doesn't really get much out of sulking. At least some random damage makes her talk sense, but all that does is leave her irritable for the next conversation and likely to blow up.
