[X] Go to sleep.
- [X] Ask to be woken up when Caster and Deis start working on the Church woman.

You stretch your arms and flop forward onto the table. "Yeah, that sounds like a good idea. Um, but could you wake me up before you try to move Deis? I won't be able to help, but if it won't be a problem, I'd like to watch." Caster hesitates before looking at Deis for a decision. Deis shrugs, smiling.

"Sure, why not? It won't hurt anything to have her watching, right?" Caster shakes her head and you hop to your feet and clap your hands.

"Okay! Then I'll see you tomorrow, unless something really important happens that you need me for. Sleep well!" You curtsy politely - Deis waves and Caster lightly nods her head - and scamper off to your sleeping mat. You can hardly wait for Deis to have a body so you can give her a hug … oh, and you could make her something delicious and she'd be able to smell it while you get it ready! And you'll have to remember to give her the cassock so she has something to wear. It's functional, at least, unlike the outfit the woman was wearing when she died, which is all covered in blood and kind of ripped in the front. Maybe you could go to a store and get her some clothes, since it's easier to get clothes for a human than it is for someone like you …? You stay up for a little while, making sure to leave reminders for yourself before falling asleep.

"Flandre? Please wake up." A hand gently shakes you awake and you blink your eyes open. Caster is kneeling next to you, and you smile up at her.

"Time to start things?" She nods and stands up; as you rise to your feet you feel something strange about the air - a sort of closed-off stillness, like the air is stale and there's no breeze, but …. "What is that? It feels …." Caster smiles and gestures for you to follow her. The light from outside is quite bright.

"It's from the bounded field I'm using to keep people from noticing anything strange or coming in by accident." You nod and the two of you walk out to the pond. The woman from the Church is already out, laid on top of the impromptu coffin for ease of access. Deis looks up from the body and raises a hand in recognition.

"So, I'm pretty sure I've got everything back where it's supposed to be, and I haven't come across any physical issues, but that's about where my expertise ends." You sit down out of the way and take out one of your parasols so the midday sun isn't bothering you so much. Caster continues toward the body and extends one hand over it when she reaches it. She mutters a few words under her breath and carefully examines the whole body for several minutes before sighing and shaking her head.

"I can detect no obvious traps, nor any traces of magecraft that would be expected in the case of a trap. How would you like to proceed?" Deis frowns at the body and sighs.

"Honestly, if it's possible to bring the body back to 'life,' that would be best. It should be easier to put me in a 'controlling' position, and if the heart is beating and the lungs are breathing it'll start the process of building up magic, right? That'll be as good a springboard as any, I think." Caster glances up at Deis, frowning. Deis shakes her head. "I mean … if we were dealing with a living medium, someone who knows how to bring spirits into themselves, it wouldn't be a problem; if she were still alive, I think I could do it myself, although I'd use a different method to move in. As it is … I can anchor myself to the body well enough, but that's not all that I want." Caster nods.

"Yes, yes. That … well, one step at a time." You watch, somewhat curious, as she holds her hand over the Church woman's chest, chanting quietly. After several minutes the body starts breathing, and Ershin steps forward until it's able to lay its hands on the body. Caster raises her other hand toward Ershin, but a ring of purple light flashes out. She flinches, then nods irritatedly. Ershin's helmet flips back and a brilliant blue column of energy snakes out of it - at first toward Caster but arcing down onto the woman before it touches the magician. The column surges into the woman for perhaps twenty seconds before a shapeless black mass is catapulted out of the armor as well. It plunges into the woman and Ershin stumbles back. Caster ignores the moaning suit of armor and holds both hands over the woman's body, still chanting. After several minutes she steps back, and a few seconds after that, the woman's body twitches.

She struggles to sit up, breathing heavily, and you have a moment of doubt - is this really Deis? She tries to speak, you think - all that comes out is an incomprehensible gurgling - and then she coughs heavily. "Okay, need to practice that a bit." Deis's voice comes from the woman and she tries to smile at you. "Hey, Flan. No hello?" You smile back.

"Deis? How is it? Can you feel things?" She laughs with her body - more of a hacking sound than true laughter.

"Sort of. It's all gummy and dull, and I don't really remember how nerves and such work so -!" You hurl yourself forward, dropping your parasol, and sweep Deis into a great hug, pulling her off the coffin and spinning around with her in the air. She coughs over your shoulder and you squeeze her and nuzzle her cheek before drifting back and supporting her as she sits back down. You turn to Caster and hold your arms out, but she puts her hands up and shakes her head. Ah, well. "It's all hard to do. Also, I'm going to want to take a bath, Caster." The magician nods and looks at you.

"We were able to put her 'in' the body properly, but as it was dead and the original soul has gone, she will need to reacclimatize herself with a living body before she can move and speak properly. It shouldn't take long. More important is that while she is in that body, she has not 'settled' - an attack against spirits specifically will still affect her. With enough time, the body will recognize her as its own animating spirit, and she will lose that particular vulnerability." She turns back to Deis. "Do they work? And have the Command Seals reactivated?" Deis is still for a moment, then shivers.

"Oh. My. Those are Magic Circuits, huh? Tingly. And the Command Seals … yes, they're active. How do I give them to you?" Caster shakes her head.

"Later, later - I'll need to transplant them, but I would rather do that when you are more stable in that body and your Magic Circuits aren't excited. For now, I would like to get you situated and clean this up." Deis nods as Caster dispels her bounded field and heads back into her building, leading her toward a bathing room. Deis tries walking with Ershin's help, but after a couple stumbling, halting steps, she has the armor carry her after your host. You hurry to catch up.

"Oh, no, Flan - bath time is alone time. You're not coming in with me." She smiles again, that strange stretching of the mouth, and you stick your tongue out at her.

"Hmph. I was just going to give you this, actually." You hold the cassock out to her and she stares at it before gripping it, clawlike, with her hand. You fold it up over her arm so it doesn't drag against the ground.

"Since you can't go around wearing bloody and torn clothes like that, it's at least something that fits."

"Thank you, Flan." You smile and curtsy.

"Take your time, relax, and get clean. Now that you have a body, you can do all sorts of things!" She nods and you let Ershin carry her along. You're pretty sure Caster was supposed to have your clothes ready by now, but with the situation as it is, you don't really blame her. But what to do now …?

What do you do?

[ ] Go to a clothing store and pick out some things for Deis to wear besides the cassock.

[ ] You still have some stuff left over - make some omelettes for Deis to celebrate!

[ ] There's going to be a meeting here! You should get more stuff and make sure there's plenty to eat!
- [ ] … Make sure to get Caster's permission, first.

[ ] Wait for Deis to come out and then hang out with her while she gets used to her body.
- Anything specific to do or talk about?

[ ] Other?

DM Note: It's ~1-1:30 pm.

Ok couple of questions, sorry if they've been answered and I've just missed them: if thats Ciel's body how did that even work? shouldn't she have come back to life whilst underwater? and why did she have command seals?

Boooo. :(
Why would it's even her voice that come anyhow?
Deis is having a bit of trouble with the body at the moment - specifically, she can't talk, so she's using magic to just create her voice.

and why did she have command seals?
Kirei, probably:
"The first thing is the red 'tattoo' on her arm? The one that lit up? It's not a tattoo, it's a Command Seal. They're normally used to compel Servants, as I said, but they can be used as nothing but a source of mana if the user wishes. That this woman had three … I can think of no other possibility than that she was assisted by the priest, if not summoned by him.

The question is, then... Which servant is tied to those tattoos?

(I'd laugh like a hyena if it was Lancer)

She might not have her immortality. Possibly.
She has been dead for a while now, she would have likely came back sometime before now if she still had that ability.

Right; Caster probably hasn't thought about refreshments, and while you don't really blame her for that, since this is a planning meeting and not a party, it's still something that needs to be done. Especially since Deis can actually eat now, instead of having to watch! You have to get Caster's permission, first, though - maybe she does have plans for something to eat, and if you're going to make anything you'll need to use the kitchen. You wait for in the hallway, and smile at her when she comes out of the bathing room. "Um, I was thinking about going out for a bit to pick up some stuff. Is that alright?" She stops and frowns at you.

"Can you go out during the day without being seen? And what were you planning and getting?" She crosses her arms as you clasp your hand behind your back.

"Oh, not being caught is easy; I can do things during the day, I just don't like to. It's not as comfortable and it's more of a strain. But I'm not planning to be out long. I was just thinking about the meeting tonight, and it would be better if we had some food and maybe some drinks! That's around the time when people start eating, so it would be polite to have something, and it'll make them more comfortable if there's good things to eat! And it's only proper to have some kind of refreshments available." Caster stares at you for a moment before dropping her arms and sighing.

"I hope I don't come to regret allowing the meeting to be held here. You aren't planning on obtaining much, are you?" You look up at the ceiling, thinking, then shrug.

"Not a lot, but … there'll be Deis, me, and you, and Tohsaka and Emiya and their Servants, and maybe Ilya and Berserker. That's nine people - ten if Souichirou comes, and maybe more if Rider or Lancer or their Masters come. I don't plan on making an actual meal out of it, but some snacks and light food and drink is certainly necessary." Caster gives you a blank look and sighs again. "Oh, and I don't plan on going too far - I hope the market district on this side of town has enough stuff. I'm sure the places across town have a larger selection, but I only want to go there if there's something I really want to have that I can't make with the stuff from closer."

"Oh, very well. I suppose you have a point, and … it would be nice, I think. Just be careful, please." You smile and, despite her feelings, hop forward and give Caster a hug. She stiffens, of course, but pats your head a couple times. You let her go and step back, still smiling.

"Thank you, Caster. I'll be back soon!" You curtsy, then dash away toward the entrance. You drink a blood pack for the immediate energy and turn invisible as you slip through the door. You fly up, scowling at the sun above, but you're drawn to the main temple area before leaving - there are lots of people there, all praying. Not as many as at Remilia's parties, of course, but still a lot. Maybe it's because of your fight with the Church woman? You grin and go back to your errand, careful to avoid anything that would attract attention. It's kind of a shame Agito isn't here with you … you hope Lutecia's doing well and her mother is fine. Well, Remilia knows she's your friend, right? She wouldn't let anything happen to them, not without trying to help.

You grin and lick your lips as you contemplate your spoils. Several oils, salt, most of the spices you recognized, bread and the makings thereof, chicken, beef, eggs, cheeses, some vegetables to go with them, and some of the decent tea blends you found … you giggle silently. You probably got a lot more stuff than Caster thought you would, but that's the nature of your duty, and you probably won't use all of this today, anyway. You aren't making a meal, so that limits you in some respects - no soups or noodle dishes, for example, and you don't want to make anything that needs two hands or silverware to be eaten, and you don't really want to overwhelm or overload people, or make things that are too different … although Ilya might like some more food from home. Still, the purpose is to keep people friendly and not hungry, and you can do that.

The trip back is just as uneventful as the trip there, and you nod politely as you pass where Sasaki usually stands. Not that he can see you, of course, and you can't see him, and the courtyard and temple are still crowded with people. You hurry back to Caster's building and return to visibility once you're safely inside. You peek in the main room, but no one is there, so you quickly ensconce yourself within the kitchen. You could use your clones to make it all faster, but you've still got hours before the meeting and not much to do, so you might as well get started now. You take out some of the beef and chicken and some vegetables - onions, peppers, mushrooms - and start sliding them onto skewers in varying proportions. They'll need to be grilled, or at least cooked, and you might season them first, but they don't need much work, and you hum to yourself as you put the skewers together. Once you have a good collection, you set them aside and start working on the dumplings - mixing the dough and adding some spices before letting it sit for a bit. You can wrap them around the meat later. You take some of the ready-made bread and slicing it - the slices can be dipped or soaked in oil and grilled with toppings.

You hear the door sliding to the side and turn, but it's not Souichirou this time. Deis stands in the doorway, wearing the cassock and sniffing frequently. Her eyes seem almost glazed over until she shakes her head and looks at you piteously. "Flan? 'm hungry …." Even concentrating, there's still a noticeable slur to her words, but she is understandable, even if her voice is tremendously unfamiliar.

"Hmm … well, I was getting this ready for the meeting," you begin, and Deis claps her hands over her mouth just as a whine reaches your ears. You stare at her for a moment, stifling a giggle, then shake your head. "But I can make you an omelette, if that's alright?" Once you see her head start bobbing up and down you spin away and take out the frying pan. You also take out a large pot that's in one of the cupboards - you can use it to boil the dumplings. You glance back at Deis to see her jaw quivering, but she's standing quietly at a countertop, staring down. Curiously, her stomach isn't growling - but if she's hungry, instead of her body, it wouldn't, so there's nothing wrong. You finally finish the two omelettes you were making and take them over to Deis. "Careful, they're still hot." You ignore the ecstatic sounds as she wolfs them down and begin putting dumplings into the large pot - it's not quite boiling yet, but it's close enough that you can keep an eye on things and give some to Deis. She's certainly eying everything ravenously ….

What do you do?

[ ] Let Deis skim some off the top while you keep making things.

[ ] Put a plate together for Deis now, but don't let her have anything else until the meeting.

DM Note: Right now, I think the next update will go through part of Rin's meeting, although if you guys want to do something else first, there is time for one, maybe two things.
(Side Note: Don't try to write food scenes when you're tired.)

I wonder how much of this is bad memories of her children, how much her difficulty with trust and how much fear at being hugged by someone who could go toe to toe with a Berserker in melee for a bit.

And how much of it is the fact that Headless mauled the crap out of her when she was in Flan's mind that one time.
