Fire Emblem General

Interesting. What happens when you class change into a class with lower stat caps?

Well, it depends. From what I understand, the way stats work is kind of complicated. Each character has a stored value for each stat and Maximum Stat Modifiers. Each class has base stats and class stat caps. To find out what a characters caps are in a particular class, you add their MSMs to the class caps. To find out what a characters's actual stats are, you add the stored value to the class base. If their actual stats equal or exceed the cap, then they're set to the cap, but the stored value is the same. So, depending on the caps and bases of the classes you're switching to and from, the stats may or may not stay or become capped.

Thanks for the info.

Out of curiosity but when did you guys stop using Frederick?

I stopped using him around chapter 5 I believe in my first run. 2nd run I didn't use him at all. (Well he made a pretty decent meat shield I suppose.)

I didn't start using him until everyone else was reaching the promotions. I'd played fire emblems before so I recognized the Jeigan when I saw him

After his Silver Spear and replacement forged Steel Spear broke. I reused him during Chapter 12 where. I gave him a hammer and a new spear. Paired up with Cherche he quickly killed a lot of Knights. He got to level 15 the next chapter so it was a reclass for him to General.

Soooo is there a Fire Emblem general thread?

Because the if and SMTXFE Trailer dropped so like y'know.

Oh and you can vote Chrom for smash if you like, I mean like why but whatev's.

God DAMN I am hype for this trailer! I wonder if the main character isn't customizable, since it seems that you're supposed to be a "brother"?

And the Smash commercial for Robin has a male avatar. Apparently the avatar is customizable. They'll probably just have separate voiced dialogue for the relevant scenes.

Urg, don't remind me about the voice acting...

I hope they either do it fully next time or remove it from most conversations entirely.
Those one-word exclamations that have little to do with what they're actually saying were fucking annoying.

FUCK YOU, WHY!

...Not you, Nintendo. Why would anyone ever fucking think that was a good idea?
I mean, I can see why they couldn't afford voice acting. Series was dying, from what I know.
And I can see why they'd want to put in voice acting anyway. It's their last hurrah. Make it shine.
But the way it was implemented...

Alright, I'll stop bitching over a pet peeve. I can always turn Voice off in Awakening, and I'll probably be able to do the same in If, if it's still like that.
