Level up time! @Goldfish this is your bag but do we want to add light spell as mentioned before? Also, since Mina had familiar again can have her go full caster mode.

Cob and Gorok less sure about, but maybe make Gorok more tanky if possible since he is main frontline fighter right now.

Light is a good one to have, but Stabilize seems more important for now, given everyone's relatively low HP and lack of spell slots.

Fair enough, and might not be needed later if we reach surface soon. Something to keep in mind though.

It's a great spell that lasts a long time even at early levels.

I'm not dead set on it, though. There are a lot of good options we can go with, it just needs to be something useful in the short term at 2nd level. Witches can learn new spells fairly easily, and the low level ones are quite cheap, so we won't be handicapping Mina with a non-optimal choice.

We're in one of the few places in the world where the material component for Mount is actually a limitation. Where would we get horse hair down here?

Maybe command? It gives her something interesting to do in case cold damage is not an option, and it might prevent a foe escaping or something like that.

I was thinking about that one, too. It's a short effect, but it works with her Mediator trait and Hag Magic ability to increase the Save DC to 17.

Only issue is that we don't want her to be too heavy on Mind-Affecting effects. As we've seen so far, first with the crab, then the Vegepygmies, then the Ghoul, there are a lot of enemies who completely ignore Mind-Affecting stuff.

Maybe Ear-Piercing Scream instead? The DC would be lower and the damage isn't great, but it doesn't require an attack roll and just about everything is susceptible to bring Dazed.

I like that one too, but I think that command is nice too in future level ups.
 
Ear piercing scream is delightful of you can make people fail their saves. Which a witch with evil eye should be more than able to do.
 
Okay, Command and Ear-Piercing Scream have been slotted in as Mina's new spells.
Any low level spells that can be specifically useful for Underdark area?
There's nothing that specifically comes to mind, at least nothing that stands out as being better in the Darklands than elsewhere.
 
For Mina's next hex I want this:


It basically makes everyone really likely to miss an attack on the same turn. It is too good to pass up. We can even combine it with Cackle in the future so that we can make someone an eternally annoying tank.
 
I should probably note that you guys are quite close to the surface right now. You are sleeping deep in a mine that has been taken over by moldfolk, but it is still a mine. The miners had to come in though somewhere.

I don't see Akorian leaving the Darklands forever. He still has so many things to see there!

We have not seen the Duergar, Drow, Ghoul or Intellect Devourer cities yet!
