@Astaroh-M: Are Digi-Pods basically VR Technology, accessing Cyberworld so they can mess around using intentionally limited avatars? I am curious how weird that'll make Full Synchro, and if Forte could make S.Links with the Human Avatars.

Oh, guess that means the Spirit Digimon would be controlled as Avatars by their Human Operators? Hmm, has anything been established regarding that sub-story? Kind of interested in trying an omake about it...

That description reminds me of the Digimon Cyber Sleuth games's VR tech.

I'm honestly thinking of not using humans for the Digimon part of the story and focus on the digimons themselves.

...Or at least, not adding humans from the digimon setting, there may be some interactions between Megaman's humans and digimons.

Hmmm, who could be a good digimon for Tron? :thonk:
 
@Astaroh-M: Maybe Tron and Roll Caskett both start with Salamon? With Tron's going down the Meicoomon route and Roll's going down the Gatomon/Angewomon route. I bet Neptune would want her own digi-pet after meeting Gospel, so having a cat to contrast sounds neat.

Back to the Digimon themselves... Perhaps Flamemon and Strabimon are the Fire & Light Spirits, after being deliberately shattered/weakened in an attempt to control them? Thus their Human & Beast Forms are separated code, that they have to reabsorb.

Oh, maybe the Corrupted Darkness Spirit is controlled by Lord Wily? The Ten Warrior Digimon seem like something that'll get his attention, and he already tried to capture Falzar.

@Astaroh-M: Could you tell us a bit more about the SciLab division that created Falzar? They clearly had no issue tearing off chunks from Gregar to science on. So them similarly ripping apart AncientGreymon and AncientGarurumon to create Flamemon & Strabimon sounds in-character.

Hmm, or maybe the Ten Warriors were all in dormant states? Maybe... Ah, maybe they aren't the Ten Legendary Warriors yet, because they were pieces of Susanoomon? Like, was forming in response to Alpha, but laid dormant after Forte elimnated the threat.

Might be simpler to say they captured the berserk BurningGreymon and KendoGarurumon, only to discover they hold a surprising amount of potential- creating Flamemon & Strabimon so they could study the data.
 
@Astaroh-M: Hmm... Okay, so Digimon are natural denizens of Cyberworld, meaning Gregar/Gospel and (technically) Falzar are Digimon. Navis are outright artificial beings, who nonetheless can fuse with and be infected by Digimon.

So... Viruses are essentially proto/pseudo-Digimon, not complex enough to truly Digivolve. Though... Perhaps the Virus 1/2/3 thing is a gauge of their complexity? Still, since Zero is an intelligent humanoid Virus, that clearly complicates things.

Then there's Alpha, a proto-Internet... Oh, if Alpha was more stable, would it have essentially been King Drasil or an equal being? Certainly gives interesting implications if Trinity ends up being made from Alpha.

Then there's whatever Mu-Elysium created, seeing as both civilizations independently have crazy advanced technologies to produce highly unusual beings. Huh, wonder if Solo is running around somewhere...

Not that much, maybe a couple of weeks, mainly because I don't think Forte is the kind of Navi that would spent much time without doing anything, and about co-op techniques... hmmm, food for thought.

Btw, sorry that I haven't update yet, family is visiting so my writing time has gone down by a lot.
 
@Astaroh-M: Well, an obvious Co-Op Technique would be having Gospel launch forth from Forte's shadow. Hmm... a more complex variant could be Forte attacking with Dash, and Gospel springing at the enemy as Forte sails past.

Oh, actually, have Forte & Gospel learned how to invoke Beast Out or will we get that as a power-up scene during a battle? Like Forte & Gospel recreating Beast Out Mode in order to protect someone.
