@Astaroh-M: If we manage to S.Link with Falzar or someone with Falzar Beast Out, how would that affect Concerto? Plus, since Beast Out and Concerto can work together... I'm awfully intrigued what happens if we use Gregar Beast Out alongside Falzar Cross.
That's certainly an interesting possibility.

Hmmm, I will tell you after a future event regarding a know wolf figure happens.

@Astaroh-M: ... Falzar Cross + Gregar Beast Out would be Forte's equivalent of Bass Cross, wouldn't it? Incredibly powerful, but also incredibly dangerous (going by anime/manga anyways). Mean, channeling the power of two Cybeasts does sound problematic, even though it'll be insanely fascinating to watch.

Ok then!

Votes closed and the winner is:

[5] Go and stop the mercenaries from reaching the SciLabs Navis
[1] Let the battle between the two forces start and see what information you can get.
[6] The hell with this, go for that capsule now! That data is yours!

Being reckless again! Have I ever told you guys of the definition of insanity? :V

22.- Egg!
"I'm going for that capsule," Forte says without hesitation.

"...What?" Skullman asks confused after a few seconds of processing those words.

"We risked our lives for that data, it's ours and I'm going to get it," is Forte's simple explanation.

"Bu-but!" Skullman yells, trying to calm the situation.

"Look, your job is just too watch the other Navis, right?" Forte starts explaining calmingly.

"Yes?"

"Then you just need to look as I steal the capsule, just stay on the lookout and warn me when the mercenaries are close, I will do the rest of the job," the cloaked Navi finishes.

"I guess… But I have the feeling that we're abusing of some kind of loophole here," Skullman ends accepting but still has some reservations.

"Nevermind that, where are they anyway? Things may get complicated if I have to go to the UnderNet right now."

Forte hasn't proved himself to the Navis there after all.

"Oh? Yes, it's there, let me send you the direction," a small beep sound later and now Forte knows the place, "and don't worry, Alraumon bribed a lot of Navis so the area around the site is quite desert right now!" Skullman reassures Forte with a big smile.

"...She's really a dangerous Navi, isn't she?" It may sound like a question, but Forte suspects that that's just a fact.

"I have nightmares about her!" The smile is still on the skeleton face, but Forte can feel his terror even from this side of the window.

--------------------------------

"Yeah, yeah that's everything for now," Beck finishes retelling the events that just happened to one of the NetSecurity Navis that are inspecting the place.

After dealing with the sarcophagus Beck sent a message explaining that the situation was under control and a few minutes later some NetSecurity Navis appeared. Beck then started to explain everything while Forte talked with Skullman.

"Well, they will take care of the rest, you're done with your call?" Beck asks Forte as he starts walking towards the frowning Navi.

"Yeah."

"Everything ok? You seem a little…" Beck hesitates a little to finish his sentence.

Forte blinks at him before schooling his face, "Yeah, don't worry about it, it's something I must do alone."

"Oh, ok!" Beck accepts the explanation easily enough.

And then an awkward silence starts forming between the two.

"So… too about the mummy Navis disappearing too, right?" The blue Navis says, trying to break the awkward atmosphere.

"Don't really care," Forte responds.

"Right! Right… the sarcophagus disappearing in the real world is something much more alarming anyway! It's just so crazy, to think it would just turn into dust like that!" Beck tries his best to try to change the subject.

But Forte just nods, his thoughts on his future mission.

"Hey… about the things I say in there, about the reason why I fight… you think you could keep it-" Beck starts muttering, finally saying what he wanted since the beginning but is quickly interrupted by Forte.

"Wanting to be strong for someone else… it's something that I experienced too," he says while looking at the distance, "wanting to prove your worth to others is normal, but," he then turns his eyes towards Beck's, "proving your worth to yourself is even more important," Forte smirks, "and I think you took a big step today when you kicked that coffin's ass."

Beck just stares at Forte for a moment, tears almost forming on his face, he quickly cleans them with his arm and smiles instead, "thanks!"

Forte once more returned to the familiar dark landscape that is the UnderNet, cloak over his head he moves silently towards the nearest hill where Skullman is waiting for him. The skeleton Navi is a little distracted though, using a pair of binoculars to see at a group of Navis on the distance.

"They're the SciLabs group?" Forte whispers just as he reaches Skullman's side.

"AH! I mean yeah!" The poor Navi yells before trying to act cool and collected, but the hand over his chest and the heavy breathing kind of ruins it.

Forte just raises an eyebrow at his direction.

"Heh heh, sorry I was too focus on the mission," Skullman says as he scratches the back of his head, "wanna look?" he offers his binoculars to Forte.

He accepts and looks at the direction of the group.

Their numbers are on the small side, just a dozen give or take. Some are patrolling the area in pairs, weapons out and ready for trouble, while others stay near the capsule keeping an eye on it, and a couple seems to be typing something on the capsule's panel.

"Hmmm, hey Forte, I never noticed before but… doesn't looks like the capsule has a certain egg-like shape? It was always like that?" Skullman suddenly asks, a hand stroking his chin.

"Looks the same to me," Forte answers absentmindedly, still scouting the area, "what does matter to you anyway?"

"I'm craving for some omelet since my last visit to DigiFood Plaza."

Forte decides to ignore him and focus on one last Navi that is with the group, this one looks like the leader. He has a dark blue armor with some yellow highlights and some white, a red visor covers his eyes and some blue-ish hair comes out from the back of his helmet.

He looks calm and has a smug smile on his face, for a moment it seems like he looks at Forte's direction, but he quickly goes back to walk around the area.

"So… what are you going to do?" Skullman finally asks.

[] Just go in there guns blazing, get the capsule and leave.
[] Wait until the mercenaries that Alraumon hired enter the site and then use them as a distraction to get the capsule.
[] Attack from afar to attract the attention of some of them away from the main force and then quickly run to the other side of the site and go for the capsule then. (This may scare the Navis near the egg.)

*********************************

Everybody, let's welcome our especial guest, Dynamo!

*claps claps*

[X] Wait until the mercenaries that Alraumon hired enter the site and then use them as a distraction to get the capsule.

So... is the capsule a Digi-Egg now? Kind of surprised SciLab developed Falzar that quickly, though I'm not complaining. Still, how to ensure shenanigans so Falzar becomes an active element to interact with?

[X] Wait until the mercenaries that Alraumon hired enter the site and then use them as a distraction to get the capsule.

And then we eat Falzar and somehow make it work to the slight terror and far more bafflement of everyone involved.

But really we should probably find time to sit down and rip open with Gregar, need to both learn how to handle that and not let it settle into to us too much.

And us talking to Alraumon later: "If you don't want to be treated like a sleazy back-room dealer that no one can trust then don't act like a sleazy back-room dealer no one can trust."

A: "... I hate that I can't dispute that. Still, I am the one with the muscle right now."

Forte: *Gregar mode*

A: "And now I'm not. Also how the hell did you just Dark Digivolve? What the fuck."

[X] Just go in there guns blazing, get the capsule and leave.

If this isn't the opportunity to try Beast out then I don't know when, and I don't like the idea of possibly getting pinned down by both sides, so we should blitz in and out possibly fighting each group one at a time at our advantage.

That sounds like an excellent way to get ourselves on everyone's wanted list, to identify where Gregar is, and call down heat from absolutely everyone.

Congrats, I had no interest in voting before but now I do.

Ah, but you're assuming that she only has hired muscles? She may surprise you. :p

@Astaroh-M: Seeing as Alarumon's Digivolutions vary from game, which route are you going for? Because on the one hand, her assuming a more monstrous form like Kiwimon or RedVegiemon reflects how she's clearly not so different from Gregar.

On the other, her Warp Digivolving to BanchoLillymon would be pretty cool and a lot more terrifying she could reach Mega. That, and gives more interesting characterization than "Evil Bad Guy assumes Obvious Monster Form".

Maybe not only hired muscles, but fired ones too.
Muscles that are fired up. :V
Fire muscles sounds like a very bad idea for a fire being. :V

I was thinking of using both types of forms actually, first the monstrous one, and later on(if she survives to that point) she could get the more humanoid one.

@Astaroh-M: Okay, so, for the first confrontation she digivolves to Togemon. Thus, the "Obvious Monster" Form, what with being a giant cactus and it even feels like an natural extension of her current form.

Then, after Forte graciously spares her life, Alarumon is left reconsidering her life. Somewhere along the way, she eventually becomes Lillymon specifically so she can pretend to be a NetNavi.

Following further character development, she reaches her final form of BanchoLillymon, using her new power to protect innocent Digimon/Cybeasts. Since, come on, people are gonna freak when they realize there are more native Cyberworld lifeforms than just Gregar.

Hmmm.

*So-so hand gesture*

I'm not sure if I will go with the redemption route with her, we will see.

But yeah, people will freakout when they learn about digimons.

And votes closed.

The winner is:

[11] Wait until the mercenaries that Alraumon hired enter the site and then use them as a distraction to get the capsule.

Wait for chaos it is.

23.- Project F!
Forte lowers the binoculars after a moment and releases a sigh and looks towards Skullman.

"We will wait until the mercenaries attack, then in the confusion, I will go for the capsule," then he adds as an afterthought, "you can tell your new employs that the capsule was lost during the fight."

Skullman smiles at that, "oh great! Then I will have time to tell you about what happened to me in the last few days!"

"...Great."

Forte couldn't wait for the mercenaries to appear.

------------------------

"And then he was on fire and rolling on the ground with some feather around…"

Skullman's tale was never-ending and Forte has long past tune it out as background noise. Fortunately for him, the action is going to start.

Forte starts to note some movement in the distance, putting the binoculars over his head he gets a better picture. Six purple looking Navis with horns on their arms are running towards the lab's group, one their own they may not be that much of a threat, but they have a horde of viruses running alongside them following their orders.

"It's starting."

Forte says as he makes sure that his cloak is properly adjusted and stars walking.

"So I start throwing some sand over h- huh?" Skullman continues with his story for a moment before noticing Forte's movement.

"You stay here, you're just supposed to observe, right?" Forte says without looking back.

Skullman raises a hand to his mouth in concern, but nods -even though Forte can't see him- and stays back, "Good luck!" He whispers in a loud tone.

Forte waves his hand without turning and starts observing the battle, he needs to wait for the right moment.

---------------------------

"This sooooo boring," guard T-7 complaints for the fifth time.

"We know," guard D-6 and C-2 answer back in an annoyed tone, "You have said five times already, we get it you want a fight, now shut up and keep an eye out for any threat!" C-2 finishes.

T-7 huffs and turns around, totally not pouting.

...

"I bet those nerds with the capsule are having a blast," He continues after a moment of silence.

D-6 and C-2 groaned.

"What? It's true! We have been doing this for what, three months now?" T-7 exclaims as he waves his hands to signal the whole area, "a group goes out to collect data from those beast Navis, fill the capsule and then we bring it out here to make some test on it, rinse and repeat, so boooring."

"True, but this time is special," a new voice says from behind the complaining Navi.

"Dynamo, sir!" All three Navis quickly formed a line in front of the newcomer, the Navi with long blue-ish hair that Forte noted from afar.

"Relax, relax, no need to be so agitated," Dynamo says in a calm tone of voice, "and I get it guys, you need some action we all do, it helps us to avoid going stir crazy, right? But like I say, today is a special day," he explains in a small smirk on his face.

"Special, sir?" D-6 asks with confusion.

"Indeed! Because today is the last day of Project F," he responds while expanding his arms in a grandiose manner, "and it seems like here come the first vultures, looking for some easy pickings," he suddenly says as he turns to look at something at the distance.

"Huh?" The three Navi follow his lead and do a double-take after noticing the amount of virus coming in their direction.

"Look alive guys! I don't get pay if that capsule if stolen!" Dynamo yells, still with a smirk on his face, though this time it's less smug and more predatory.

And just like that everybody on the camp starts running into position, they will do their job and protect the capsule, no matter the cost.

-------------------------------------

Controlled chaos, that's the best way Forte can describe the scenario in front of him. As soon as the Navis of SciLab notice the viruses running towards they began to move to specific positions, some in the front waiting for the wave of viruses and a few in the back closer to the capsule, they also planted barriers down and took cover behind them.

As soon as the viruses enter the security Navis reach, they start to rain energy bullets on the data monsters.

The viruses are deleted by the dozens.

Sadly it's not all good news for the SciLab group, as soon as the viruses are destroyed, the purple Navis summon more and then some more, the number of reinforces seem to be infinite. Slowly, the horde starts to gain ground.

Forte is closer now and lies down on the ground examining the situation. Watching any opening for part of the Navis left behind. Then he notices a bright red flash in the distance, he quickly brings out Skullman's binoculars.

He seems one of the purple Navis that's summoning viruses, but here's something different, here's a bright red laser sword piercing through his chest. As the Navi is deleted the one that attacked him from behind is revealed, is Dynamo.

Forte stares for a moment and quickly turns to look at the camp, sure enough, Dynamo isn't there anymore.

"In what point did he moved?" Forte mutters to himself.

He returns his gaze to where the purple Navi was destroyed but is too late, Dynamo isn't there anymore.

The situation is clear now to Forte, if he doesn't do anything soon the mercenaries will be all delete and his opportunity will be gone.

[] Shoot down some of the security from behind, that should give an advantage to the viruses horde.
[] Go for the capsule now, knocking out a few Navis shouldn't be a problem.
[] Go after Dynamo so the purple Navis can summon more viruses and create more chaos.

***********************

Well, it certainly seems like the SciLab group have everything under control, right?

[X] Go for the capsule now, knocking out a few Navis shouldn't be a problem.

Yeah, let's not murder people and become the bad guy.
